We have used the service for over 5 years, and their field personnel are very efficient, polite, and reliable. However, I cannot say the same for their office personnel. We have an annual contract with them where they clean the gutters 4 times a year (we live in a wooded area), and on 3 occasions in 5 years I have called them to inquire about when the next cleaning was scheduled. Every time I have called, the person answering the phone has been what can only be charitably described as "snippy", and what in reality is just plain rude. For example, when giving my name, I have been interrupted with a loud demand for "Home phone number!" Today, when I told them there was standing water in a clogged gutter and asked if we might be moved up in the schedule if there were any unexpected openings, I received a short grumpy annoyed-sounding response basically whining about how overwhelmed they are. It was clear to me that no one in scheduling was going to hear about the request, and the person on the phone was much more concerned that I had dared to bother her than that there might be a chance to build some customer loyalty. I appreciate they may be busy, and that they may not be able to fulfill the request, but is it too much to expect some common courtesy when responding to reasonable inquiries from long-standing customers?

I would like to thank the team at Metro Gutter for a superb roof repair experience. The flashing on a 20 year old skylight at our home recently failed during a snow storm. The guys from Metro Gutter came out (the same technician is responsible for the whole project from start to finish) to make the repair. Once they started, there was one unexpected item which required them to order a part. While we were waiting for the part there was a forecast for inclement weather. I have used Metro Gutter & Home Services Inc for gutters cleaning over the years and last month for fixing leaking vent pipes on the roof. They were very responsive. Their price was very reasonable and I was able to schedule/perform the work quickly. The technicians that came to do the work were very professional and attentive. They have been at all scheduled appointments on time. They thoroughly explained the problems and what they were fixing. They exceeded my expectations. I was pleased with their services and highly recommend this company.

Buyers beware! This company is a scam! I purchased a Groupon and scheduled service the following day. In addition, I was required to provide my credit card information because my gutters have screens and there was an "extra charge". The company arrived two weeks later and informed me they would/could not clean the gutters because of the screens AND charged me a $75 fee for the service call. In the end, the company stole $125 and never actually performed the work!

The techs did not follow my work order and did the bare minimum of cleaning the gutters rather than repairing them as I requested. I called later and they sent the owner out. He correctly quoted one half of my house and glossed over the other side that is not flowing correctly. A lot of hassle with multiple calls and still no resolution. I will find another company who I trust to correctly identify issues on both sides of the house.

I bought a groupon, which they marked as redeemed without ever scheduling with me. After I called and scheduled for the week, they left a note one day while we were at work that they had cleaned the gutters, but when we got home from work, the gutters were still full of leaves and dirt that we could see from the windows. I have to find and pay another company now to actually complete the work.

I have worked with Metro Gutter on many projects and found them to be very reliable. Metro is the right company to call when you have a roofing/gutter issue. They can handle an entire roof replacement or a small repair. Their workmanship is excellent and they guarantee their work. Keep in mind that if you call right after a big rain they get very busy.

I took advantage of the Livin Social deal for a $39 gutter cleaning. They did the job well on the date scheduled. Pretty simple. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because of a 2-3 day response time after emailing & calling. They said they were swamped from the response to the Living Social deal which is understandable.

I was informed that the outside of my gutters would be cleaned as well when serviced. However, they were not and all of about ten minutes of work cost $135. Metro Gutter is too over priced and they charge almost double what other companies charge.
