I really wanted to love our little family get away but it was no where near what we were expecting. I purchased a package deal that included the water park and a tram ride with our room at Hotel Jay. I did the math and it was about what it would cost for me to buy it all separate (certainly not a deal)...I figured I would buy it all at once because that way we didn’t have to worry about buying the tickets for each thing when we got there. To start, the room...for two adults and three children they said the room slept 5 that we got and it was a king size bed and a Murphy bed that was about a full size. I don’t know how they thought that would sleep 5!! We ended up having to put one on the floor...(and they said they would alert us that our room was ready since we arrived early for the water park...they did not). The water park was clean and the kids had fun, however I certainly would have purchased the separate water park pass for $10 to just monitor the kids rather than the $39.99 for the adult pass (again it was included in the hotel room purchase that was hundreds more than the room price itself). When I made the reservation they did not tell me of that option even when I said I couldn’t swim due to an injury. Very disappointing to see that when we got there. Then the next day we went to do the tram ride and it was shut down due to wind! Each tram ride ticket was worth $15 for the two adults and I think $10 for each child so the total value was $60! Well they only gave me $15 dollars refund and the lady at the front desk gave me some attitude. They said that’s all that it was worth since I purchased the package. I questioned it and they refused to even swap the tram ride for something else to do! The kids were very disappointed and I was not about to spend more money on trying to find something else to do there. Overall the trip was very disappointing! And to top it off, all the food in the water park was possibly contaminated with nuts!!! They said that the foods they had all were a risk. My son has peanut and tree nut allergies, I don’t understand how a place can have no options! They told me I could try the convenience store for food that may not have nuts. Again, really not what I would expect from a resort...

We rent the cottage "golf and mountain" for 3 days pleasantly surprised, great accommodation, clean, 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms on 3 floors. Very functional with fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer ... The site is great but in the summer during the week only two restaurants are open. The water park is perfect for the family. Not much around the site so advice for families who come for a longer stay without breaking the bank, bring your food to you room otherwise it is expensive, there is a small general store on site but the prices are quite high.

Surprisingly large indoor park with water slides, a wave pool and a lazy river for tubing. The plentiful, attentive staff on all the water attractions pay close attention to all the guests in the water for any safety issues. As a parent, this is very reassuring if you have children in the water, since it it difficult to keep an eye on them at all times yourself. Also, the entire place is wheelchair accessible, and there are wheelchair lifts into the Lazy River and the hot tub. The staff were accommodating and helpful about helping me get from my wheelchair into the water, and then back to my wheelchair. Thanks!

Poor infrastructure and unresponsive management make this resort challenging. Employees and guests alike completely frustrated with elevators. Waterpark unable to anticipate towel demand (same story four of four days). Beware fine print charges on top of your package price. Unsympathetic hotel manager told me it was to pay for WiFi, shuttle service and other amenities apparently not included in the package price. Unless your a hotel management student looking to learn how not to treat respectful customers, I would seek another luxury resort.

This resort is the most disorganized hotel I have ever dealt with. They do not call you back and are very sneaky when quoting rates!!! Make sure to be extra money as you will need it!!! Nobody knows who quoted what. I had to get them my notes for them to figure it out. This was a group registration and they reserved with my credit card and charged the higher rate. This is clearly a joke and because they were too busy to call back the clients pay extra!! STAY AWAY

This is a great spot year round! Hiking, biking, skiing, hockey, water park, pools, spa, restaurants.. the renovations and new buildings are lovely. The Tram Haus is my favorite for families or foodies., Especially the suites. Restaurants are good, but cooking for yourself is great. Note that the of resort options are sparse so be ready to bring some spending money for on resort options and pricing. Excellent wait staff and customer service!

A bit pricey for late Septemberearly October, but the resort is quite good, with variety of condos, apartments, and hotel accommodation. Canadian visitors benefit from some at par opportunities, including half of accommodation fee at par. At par also for great indoor water park and challenging golf course. Condo was spacious and clean, but the bed and pull-out sofa were not very comfortable. Full kitchen well equipped helped save on meals.

One of my favorite mountains. They have lots of lifts and every type of trail and terrain. You can do backcountry riding on the sides of the mountain and you can even ride down the cliffs on the face of the mountain. The waterpark is nice to spend time in the hot tubs after a day on the slopes. It is a big enough mountain to offer everything you would want, but not so big that it is overwhelming for new riders or families.

housekeeping has their issues in the y of rooms as they are beyond a bed.... they are incredible with helping us in room service, giving us what we request friendliness, and they do have a lot on their plates, each and every day, the rooms are not small, and yet they are friendly, accomadating, service with a smile..... the housekeeping staff makes our time at Hotel Jay even better, friendly, safe.... kudos to the staff

Stayed at the resort 2 years ago for a hockey tournament and had a fabulous time. This year when I called to book my room with our hockey team it seemed both the operator and Wendy LaCourse were annoyed to answer my questions about the group booking. Nice facility but the staff should keep in mind that they are part of the product as well, how they conduct themselves is a reflection on the end product.

Stayed at Tram Haus on an organized trip from Toronto. Room was well kept and was better than I could have expected. Loved locally sources furniture and level of service demonstrated by staff from the resort. Would have been nice if the snow conditions were better but some things are just outside of our control. Would definitely come back in years to come.

Jay Peak is a gem. My favorite Vermont ski resort, now with hockey, cross country skiing, a water-park, and several good bars and restaurants. The mountain is great, not as big as Stowe but it gets a lot of snow and has many good trails. The water-park gets busy on the weekend, consider going on a weekday to avoid crazy crowds.

Spent the weekend up their with a college ski club and I would definitely come back to ski. The condos were very clean, comfortable, and well suited for multiple people. The slopes and covered in a lot of powder (well it did snow one of the nights, the previous day was a little icy). And the views, the views are amazing.

Great experience, the room we got which was a one bedroom suite was much bigger than expected, the staff was great. The hotel is centrally located to get to the slopes, water park, ice skating and restaurants. Rooms are also given access to lockers to store ski equipment.

The best skiing and boarding on the east...Great snow and great terrain. They have everything from beginner skiing to steep technical woods. Amazing lodging options at the tramhaus, Jay hotel, and stateside. They have all you need right there for food and beverage.

We stayed here for a weekend to enjoy the Pump House. The cottage was nice and clean, well equipped and comfortable. More dining options would make the place excellent but we made do with what was available on the property. The free WiFi is extremely slow...

Great family atmosphere, more than enough to keep everyone occupied (from a 14 month old to a 12, 14 & 18 year olds). This is our second time here, and we still have yet to get all there is to do done before we leave tomorrow! #guesswearecomingback

This is an incredible resort. Everything on-site that might be needed. Rooms are spectacular, the personnel are very accommodating and some of the most friendly people you will ever meet! I look forward every year to my retreat at this location!

Totally awesome. Miles and miles of slopes and lifts. Hard to get to, but definitely worth the extra time to get here. They have indoor water park, ice skating rink. So many different things to do! Skiing was incredible! Definitely coming back!

Great resort. The skiing was awesome with lots of fresh snow. Lots of variety of trails with great glade skiing options. After a soak in the outdoor hot tub then a good dinner and the Foundry Pub & Grille. Affordable ski and stay packages.

Abundance of ammenities and extra things to do, at extra cost though. The big red waterslide in excellent new waterpark will scrape your back if you dont arch your back up off the surface of slide, then its just a silight shoulder burn.

Recent and very nicely build just at the bottom of the mountain. We mostly went to the waterpark but there is anything you need to have a nice moment there. Check the opening time as it may not be open during weekdays in low season !

Real mountain! Beautiful views! Check for cheaper deals on liftopia. I suggest to take trump only once and early in the morning - the line was 40+ minutes. There are coffe shop, bar, restaurant, cafeteria + waffle stand outside.

I grew up right down the road and could have stayed free at home but had to stay up at Jay. Phenomenal, take the tram, eat the food and enjoy the people. Bus will take you anywhere you need to go. Awesome military discounts!

Great location for ski-in ski-out condos. Be wary about taking the tram, though, since the lines can become prohibitively long at certain times for only a marginal increase in elevation over the two main quad lifts.

Amazing resort for snow fun! I snowboard here and apart from the really long drive...this place is amazing fun! Trails are well kept, staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurants were good. Love this place!

Good water park, kids enjoyed it. Four fun water slides, lazy river and surfing pool. Stayed in a newly built cabin, construction was not the best, very cheap feeling. Hotel itself seemed very nice though.

Our preferred ski resort in New England. Try to forget that humongous / ridiculous water park and focus on the exceptional runs and glades. Oh, and did I mention the snow quality?

Skiing is pretty good, conditions at the mountain were pretty bad when I was visiting, but the conditions this year were terrible everywhere this year in the Northeast.

"Ski the East" as the say, I love Jay Peak with his many challenging runs. The mountain is as well quite snow save, but can be exposed to strong winds at times.
