Let’s talk about my case: My company moved me from California to Texas, my girlfriend was living in Arizona with plans to move to Texas in about half a year, and we planned to buy a house together in Texas. We both graduated from college less than a year ago with not-so sufficient income history. My credit score was not excellent but good. Underwriting was take place early 2014, when all the new guidelines just got implemented. When my case hit underwriting, I was certain that many officers would give up on me. However, my lender Craig Perry did an excellent job on keeping both agents and me in the loop. I fully understand that underwriting is a tough and tiring process, and I do have to say that People’s mortgage at Salt Lake branch does have pickier-than-normal underwriters. I ended up spent about 45 days to close. My coworkers were telling me that they are tough probably because of my age. I couldn’t tell if that was true, but one thing I knew is that people in my age not only talks to others but also uses the internet to compare experience. I know if it is not Craig, I probably had switched to another lender. Craig is beyond hardworking, and he is available to you AT ALL TIMES, Sundays, long weekends, late nights, any day, anytime. He is very happy to answer my questions no matter when and why I bother him, and he knows I love doing extensive research, so he spent the time with me almost everyday for hours to explain things in a very detailed way. He is very knowledgeable in what he’s doing. He really has a heart in what he’s doing. If he is in the business solely because of money, I don’t think he can stand my annoyance at all. I highly recommended Craig. There is a drawback with the underwriting department; I heard they are reforming, so I will give them another chance as long as Craig is still working there. He will definitely be my choice of lender next time I get a loan.

I Just closed on my home refinance which is now the second opportunity that I have had to work personally with Tarik. Although Tarik switched companies there was no question in my mind of who I wanted to help me get through this process, I did not hesitate in the slightest. The reasoning behind this is because although very professional he doesn’t treat you like a client he takes interest in you as an individual and will never pressure you into a situation that is better for him. He does a terrific job of looking out for the client and their best interest. I would strongly recommend working with Tarik and his team for any refinance or purchase he will make sure that you meet your deadline and will make it as easy and painless for you as it possibly can be. As far as I’m concerned there is no other route or option when dealing with a home mortgage with his experience he can offer many options and will take the time to explain everything so that you can make an educated decision on whats best for you and your situation. On top of that his team is very friendly and a joy to work with. It was a great pleasure to with Tarik and Alisa and everyone else at Peoples Mortgage. Its safe to say they have at the very least one client for life!

As a first time home buyer, I could not be more impressed with People’s Mortgage and my loan experience. Jason Reid worked extremely hard to make sure my wife and I understood each step of the loan process and was extremely thorough in explaining the differences between all of the many loan options. We got an FHA loan with a 30 year fixed interest rate and feel confident it was the right loan for us. Not only did Jason Reid provide excellent service, but he was more of a home buying consultant than just a loan officer. His knowledge of the Salt Lake City housing market and Utah real estate trends made him a valuable resource. I have already recommended Jason Reid and People’s Mortgage to family and friends. My advice would be to select your loan officer early in the home buying process, because they can help make the purchase smooth and eliminate surprises. We bought our home from a relative’s estate. I knew this could be a lengthy process and that there might be difficulties with probate courts, and other heirs involved and I was right. David Rosen of Peoples Mortgage took on the task of telling us not to worry that that was his job and there weren’t going to be any problems he couldn’t figure out and handle. That wasn’t just a sales pitch, it was how Dave works. When there were hurtles in the road he jumped them, if mountains got in the way he climbed them. He always explained everything to us and was prompt with answering our calls or emails even after hours. Thanks to John Fricke, I was able to get a VA loan, 30 year fixed, from Peoples Mortgage. August 2010 my ex husband and I had a short sale due to our divorce.
