Contact Amanda Simpson a Boomer Benefits. Don’t repeat my mistakes. I was certain that my education and experience would enable me to find the right Medicare supplement and drug insurance online. My initial contact with an insurance broker I found online convinced me that I couldn’t trust brokers and would be better off selecting the right carrier and coverage myself. I WAS WRONG. After hundreds of hours of online research of an amazing quantity of both government and independent information sources and guides, I could not find definitive answers to questions critical to making the right insurance selection. Remember that you only get one opportunity for guaranteed issue of supplemental insurance when you lose your work insurance at retirement. This also means you will not be able to switch to a different supplemental insurance carrier later on, if you have a pre-existing condition. Many supplemental insurance companies will draw you in with low rates, then institute a series of very high increases, until they are almost unaffordable, but if you have a pre-existing condition, other carriers with lower rates have no obligation to accept you. The critical question is which insurance carrier is more likely to be the most economical and reliable choice over the long term (the rest of your life)? I am now convinced it is not possible to make that selection without the help of a trustworthy supplemental insurance broker. Having come to this conclusion, I focused on finding a trustworthy broker, not an easy task. After looking at numerous rating sites that clearly showed unwarranted bias favoring one broker over another, I began looking at public review sites for brokers specializing in Medicare supplemental insurance and began to see Boomer Benefits in the lead. I contacted Boomer Benefits and was assigned to Amanda Simpson who spent all the time I needed to simply and accurately (based on my previous research) explain the selection process and to help find appropriate coverage for my wife and for me. Interestingly, our situation was such that the supplemental plan and carrier for my wife is different than the plan and carrier for me. Selecting the right supplemental plan is not as important as selecting the right spouse, but it can impact you for the rest of your life. You can feel confident in answering the questions she asks to be able to make the right choice for you, or you can work with her every step of the way to get the guidance you need to make your own choices. My only regret is that I didn’t find Amanda and Boomer Benefits earlier.

Boomer Benefits has been a God-Send for me. Wading through the confusion of Medicare information was quite beyond my comprehension and the various promoters of plans and programs was dogging me daily. Some were nice and seemingly genuine and helpful but so many gave me the sense of self interest on their end without the integrity of truly helping me. Shortly after my 65th birthday I spoke with either Valerie or Paulette at Boomer Benefits and they explained the options for me in detail and clearly without any pressure to purchase. I found out the initial sign-up requirement being within 6 months of my birthday, we decided on a plan for me and that they would contact me in time for me to get enrolled. It was very reassuring that I had made my decision and it would come into effect without any further pressures and investigation. About 4 months later I received the reminder call to arrange my policy and establish the automatic payments, which were about 15% lower than any other plans I had looked at and I was so pleased to realize I even had coverage for foreign travel! In my second month I had a hiccup with my payment, which was my own misunderstanding when the funds would be withdrawn. I called Boomer Benefits and met Allison Manning who took up my cause immediately handling all the requirements to shift my payment date to what I preferred and double checking with my provider to assure everything was accomplished and in order. I could not be more pleased with the efforts and professionalism Boomer Benefits has shown me and it is such a relief to have complete faith they are always there to make sure everything goes smoothly for me. My experience with Boomer Benefits was above my expectations. Their website contains an incredible amount of up-to-date Medicare information. Of course, you will also find that “form” requesting your phone number, etc……… you know the dread here—I personally hate filling those out!!! Do not hesitate to leave your contact information! (These folks will not drive your crazy – I admit testing them!) If it is time for you to “shake hands” with Medicare with all their do’s, don’ts and forms……….Boomer Benefits will make that process easy! And it really is “free”!! Darla Fowler was my contact and resource with Boomer Benefits. Throughout this process, Darla provided me with supporting literature so I could make informed decision regarding best medical coverage for me. Then she went shopping for the best price in my area. Once I decided on a company the paperwork commenced. Without Darla’s support and guidance I would have been overwhelmed. And I could tell, I was not alone. Sometimes I felt she was reading my thoughts when in reality she anticipated my concerns and questions. Why? Because she has been asked before. Furthermore, I will not hesitate to reach out to Darla (or any other agent at Boomer Benefits) in the future. I know I will feel welcomed and my need important. This was my first year on Medicare and all the choices were overwhelming. The short and sweet information is that EVERYONE should use this service. I found Boomer Benefits while doing my on line research. First Justin helped me go over my options. And we were complicated - we had to figure out what worked for the state where we currently live. Then we had to figure out what would work for the state we will be moving to later this year. Justin was patient and always took time to go over things with me and answer all of my millions of questions. I was so grateful for the assist. And I am a detail freak and I did all the backup research and found that every piece of advice Justin gave me proved true and correct. Little did I realize that was only the beginning of what Boomer Benefits would do for us. . We had a problem with billing and called BB and I worked with Nicole. She had to call Medicare and the provider many times to get everything cleared up. It was wonderful to have an advocate who would handle issues and I did not have to do any follow up. Every steps of the way she called and kept us informed of what was happening. You can trust their information an staff. and they take great care of you after you choose your plan and help if there are any issues with coverage. Bottom line I will always go through Boomer Benefits for my medicare supplemental coverage.

I like to think that I am research savvy, but I also recognize my limits and, in the case of Medigap coverage, I quickly realized that I was in “over my head”. I am so happy that I made the decision to seek the expertise of Amanda Simpson and Boomer Benefits. Honestly, I was very reluctant to enter my phone number on the website because I was expecting a hard core and annoying salesperson to call me. I was so relieved when Amanda called – I knew I had nothing to fear! From that very first phone call, I felt extremely comfortable with her. She was knowledgeable, as well as friendly and caring, and I was made to feel confident that the process would be smooth and painless – and she definitely delivered!! Justin Karch was the agent that assisted me in my journey through the medicare supplement options. He was recommended to me by a friend of many years who had also worked with Justin for her husband and has now also worked with him on her own medicare supplement plan. He was very informative on the various plans. I had done a lot of research into medicare supplement plans and thought I had made a final decision but decided to work with Justin to make sure I had the best of what I needed. He provided me with various options and some were less expensive than what I ultimately decided upon. I appreciate the fact that no matter what question I had, he was always prompt with a response and believe me I have had many questions and I am sure that there may have been times that Justin would have preferred to throw up his hands and say "lady just decide", but he did not, he was gracious and patient with all the questions I had. Husband and I had same HMO health insurance plan for over 40 years which covered us through raising our family and continued into our retirement Medicare years. We relocated to Texas January 2016. Previous HMO plan was not an option here in Texas. Found Boomer Benefits phone number, called and spoke to Linda H. who listened to our needs, did the research and found us the right Supplemental F and prescription drug coverage that we needed. Have had two occasions thus far where I have received bills from medical providers that should have been 100% covered by our Supplemental F policy. Called Customer Service, Kateland or Erin. Explained the problem, scanned copies of the bills and emailed to them. Within a short period of time received calls from one of them letting me know the billing issue was resolved. Everyone that I have spoken to at Boomer Benefits has been professional, courteous and there was no hesitation in their helping me and handling the problem, eliminating my stress over the situation. Boomer Benefits employees care and it shows.

Need help with Medicare, call Justin Karch at Boomer Benefits. A friend had recommended Justin to my husband and myself as we worked our way through the Medicare maze. Justin helped us make decisions regarding both Medicare Supplemental (Medigap) and Plan D (prescription plan). As one size does not fit all when dealing with Medicare, Justin patiently answered questions that individually applied to my husband and myself. He found plans that meet our individual needs. Upon completion of our discussions on the phone, Justin immediately followed up with an email with the appropriate information attached. Justin walked us through the application process. When plans were processed, Justin followed up with a phone call to make sure we received our insurance cards. We have been assured that any future questions are only a phone call way. After doing hours of research on my own, I recommend that you save time and call Boomer Benefits and ask for Justin. You will be happy that you did.

I found Boomer Benefits by accident while searching the web for all types of Medicare info (most sites were just adding to my confusion). I was new to Medicare and your site answered almost all of my questions in a very easy to understand and follow format. This impressed me, so I decided to contact your agency and was very pleased with the quick e-mail response given. Justin has been my contact person since that time. He informed me that everything we needed to do could be taken care of via e-mail or over the phone, as I was not wanting to travel from Dallas to Fort Worth. He was so pleasant, answered any outstanding questions I had or just helped me clear the "fog" and put me at ease as we proceeded. Each year Medicare benefits change. Boomer Benefits group is my first stop for my health care information. They are always so very helpful. I had a horrible experience one year with a benefit group choice that I could not wait to get out of. When I called David Kunkle to make sure he was reminded to give me a call when open enrollment would start I was already on his calendar. That is the kind of forward thinking that you get with this group. Always very helpful, thorough and so completely accurate! They gave me some choices that would fit my situation and always followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied. The more confusing health benefits get the more I am so thankful that I have Boomer Benefits group to turn to.
