The legal experience can be very daunting, especially when you are afraid and unsure! I am so very thankful, grateful and blessed that my daughter found Kathy Ongert to help her maneuver a very scary situation with her ex and the children over the Christmas holidays several years ago. Even though it was during the holidays Kathy immediately sprang into action handling the situation with restraining orders, counseling for the children and a command of the situation from the get-go! Even though I am the grandmother, I was welcomed into the fold and my feelings and concerns were always addressed. I appreciated this so much because my daughter was the client. This woman genuinely cares for the parents and children she represents. Her staff are well informed and get questions answered promptly. No need to dread getting involved with the legal system when you have someone like Kathy Ongert who is smart, honest, caring, professional and unafraid of tackling the seemingly hopeless situations. Nothing is hopeless once she gets involved. Thank you, Kathy, for peace of mind for me, a daughter who has a restored sense of hope and emotionally healthy grandchildren. Priceless!

would give a lower rating if possible. I wish I had read reviews on her before my mediation with her practice. She failed to protect me in fact she put me in the way of harm by telling me to have repairs made and charge to a community credit card. Not only did she do that she then failed to include in the settlement. Only good thing is I have in emails between myself and my attorney and notarized affidavit that I was told to do this. As I am now being sued by the other party for following her directive to do so.When I called and asked about this was given the run around for several months by her office. Finally she called and said I do not recall doing so when I told her I had witness who agrees and emails stating that she said conversation was over I would be very careful using this mediator there are many others out there that have better reputations and hopefully better memories if you are going to ok an expense you should make sure you have the authority to do so and that if you do not what you are recommending does not have legal ramifications on someone else who is relying on you and your firms work and paid hundreds of dollars for it .

If Mrs. Ongert was half as good as she thought of herself, we might have done better in our mediation. She misled us and refused to take responsibility when she was in the wrong. It cost us several thousand dollars which she could care less about. She even gave us a lower rate because it was Veterans Day, and my husband is in the military. After confronting her about her mistake, she said she should have never given us the lower rate. Guess the Great Kathy Ongert has never been questioned. How she sleeps at night we will never know. Instead of patting herself on the back so much, she needs to focus more on her clients and giving their case the care and attention it deserves. We have tried to tell everyone we know about her. We have had at least 2 friends stop going to her, and we hope there are more we can convince.

I often mention Kathy when someone asks for a great divorce attorney. I am more than pleased with how well she and her staff assisted me. Horrible experience dealing with this firm! Absolute crooks. I obtained their services for an uncontested divorce for which I paid a $5000 retainer fee. After reconciliation with my wife i received an invoice for $1800 for the services but was told I would not receive a refund for the remainder of the retainer fee. Use another firm! Absolute worst experience ever!!!!
