Redtail is an absolutely amazing place. When you are sitting around thinking about your dream mountain, golf, or culinary vacation, this is the place you are seeing. I have played golf all over the world and Redtail is the most scenic and best laid out golf course I have ever played. The Front nine of the course starts out with 5 gorgeous mountain holes that lead into the valley for the last four holes. The scenery, elevation changes, and challenging makable shots of the first five holes will leave you speechless. Then you get into the valley where it is all but impossible to lose a ball. The valley is equally as beautiful as the mountain and you can really let it rip. After the turn you have 5 more holes in the valley and then finish off in the mountains for priceless view after priceless view. The greens were cut perfect all three times we played and they have PGA sand. Wow!!! The restaurant at Redtail is truly exceptional. I would actually give five stars to every meal that we had for the five days we were there. We must have eaten there eight times. Everything that Chef Pete sent out was to die for. His quality and creativity are world class. The prices are VERY reasonable. This is fine dining at everyday restaurant prices.

The room was perfect with breathtaking views and plenty of space. The Cathedral ceilings and field stone fireplace was a perfect touch. The bathrooms were newly renovated and the multi spray showers were a pleasant surprise! Such a great retreat for your family or just a quick getaway with the wife. The restaurant was amazing. We attended the Sunday brunch and everything on the menu was absolutely perfect!! The chef Craig even came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Only in Tennessee!

If you are looking for one of the best experiences of your life, you need to go to Red Tail Mountain. I can only echo the words of other reviewers about the quality, condition and lay-out of the golf course. The ownership, management and entire staff are truly customer service oriented and do everything to make the stay something wonderful to remember. I played golf here with friends and the course is amazing! I loved the shots from up high looking down into the valley. The course was very well maintained and can be played for fun by most golfers if you can consistently break 100 at your home course. Even if you can just ride the course, do it for the beauty!

They golf course is beautiful and fun to play. The staff takes good care of the course. The owners have made a lot of great upgrades to the resort...the new pro shop, the swimming pool, tennis courts, and the driving range is almost complete. I love coming here.
