I am giving them a two because after the work was actually done properly, it appears to be good. The problems all came before that. We got estimates from two different companies. We chose this one because of the presentation and promises. We gave them a substantial deposit and they showed up to begin the work. Two men worked while two played on their phones. After two partial days work, they showed up at the door to tell us the work was finished and handed us a piece of paper to rate our experience. Really? We realized they had not built the "custom" wall (ended up being plywood nailed to the existing framework) which would properly seal the front porch from the crawlspace. So....they would send someone two days later. We couldnt figure out why it took so long to build a short wall but okay. Our mistake came in handing them a check and not inspecting the work. After they left, my husband crawled under the house to see that a good portion of the crawlspace and not been sealed. He immediately called and we stopped payment on a large check for the balance. We were told that the owner would call back in 30 minutes. 5 days later, we got a call from a scheduler telling us they were sending a different crew to fix the area. If we had not inspected the area, we would have never known. Keep in mind, a second crew had been sent and they never reported that it was not done properly. So, over a week after the call, the same crew chief is sent. I could go on for days about what was supposed to be done that was not, including spraying for mold, a custom wall, securing underpinning....blah blah blah. Anyway, my husband crawls under again to find that it is indeed fully encapsulated. We shall see. The funny part is, 8,000 dollars later, we get paperwork in mail with a promise to pay us 50 dollars to recommend them. I have no words. We shall see how followup customer service is and I will add footnotes.

Horrible Experience I’m going to shorten this story because if I go through all of it then I will be writing a novel. My roommate and I had a terrible experience with this company. We were renting a house and there was a split (like a hair-line fracture) in some tiles in the kitchen floor that we believed was due to the foundation and we needed proof for our rental company. My roommate told them we were renting and I met one of the guys at the house. After reviewing he said it was “definitely the foundation sinking” and that he “sees this all the time with houses on concrete slabs”; he even showed me a video of what they would do to fix it. He said he’d have the report done that day (which a report is promised on their website). A couple of days later (and a HORRIBLE experience with their receptionist who was incredibly rude) we still had no report and instead they emailed our rental company and told them “the problem is not a structural issue”! So our rental company used that to accuse us of causing the split in the tiles (because it’s so easy to cause a hair-line fracture on a tile that’s GLUED to the concrete under it….ok….). Skip (a lot) to a couple of months later and we’re moving out of the house and discover 3 ADDITIONAL splits in more tiles (total: 3 separate in the kitchen and 1 in the bathroom) and a crack in the wall, all on the same side of the house. Also we took a level and discovered the floor was sloping outward where all the cracks were by a little over a ¼ inch. Still believe it’s not a “structural issue” guys? I don’t understand why they lied because they had no reason to and now I’m questioning the integrity of their business because of it. Not to mention the fact that their lie made our issues with the rental company so much worse because they used their email (not even a report but just an email) against us with every opportunity they had.

We have had issues with moisture ever since we bought our house. For 20 years we have had repairs done which were like putting Band-Aids on a broken leg. Finally, I called Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair. My Husband and I were thoroughly impressed right from the beginning. The salesman listened to our concerns, showed us pictures of our problems, and didn’t try to sell us something we didn’t need. We agreed to install a French Ditch and Sump pump to see if that would take care of the problem. Later we decided we still needed a dehumidifier. Along with that, most of our wood had to be replaced. I don’t know how they did it in and the 24” crawlspace, but they did it in record time! The workers were all very professional, respectful, and always left the area clean and orderly. With the new wood, super strong moisture barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier our crawl space is bone dry! We would highly recommend Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair to anyone who wants the job done right from the start.

We had our annual service on our crawl space, June 24, 2016, at 107 Collingwood Dr. NW Pikeville, NC. Jason Hines was the technician, and I have to say what a pleasant experience. Jason called when he was 30 minutes out, how considerate. Jason also explained how your company can fix a terrible crack in our driveway. We have been thinking about how we could repair it, and bam, Jason was there. Jason also explained everything he did under our house, which was very comforting. Thank you for having such a wonderful staff.

Both Larry and Eric showed up every day promptly and started work without interruptions the entire day. They even had to deal with unwanted "guests" in our crawlspace and came out without injuries! Always pleasant and courteous. Cleanup was great, they left no evidence that they were there except for the GREAT NEW encapsulation/dehumidifier! Bravo guys, GREAT JOB! You two are always welcome back to visit the "guests"!

The job they was not without problems. They rushed the job, had to come back twicee, broke my main irrigation pressure line and flooded the crawlspace. Reimbursed me for half of what it cost to repair. Shabby workmanship and I would not recommend.
