I just wanted to mention, that State Farm in Watertown NY is the best insurance company in the world, Laura Whitney greets all of us customers with a cheerful smile, offers coffee or even a soda she is a wonderful person and I am happy to go in to the office to pay my bill to get her wonderful help and greetings, she is a very helpful person, also Amanda A. Bush is another agent that helped me out with my insurance check she greeted me with a cheerful greeting also, every time I go in there to get help they are all there to help us, many other customers that are friends of mine say that Laura Whitney and Amanda A. Bush are great agents to deal with and this is why I have had State farm as my insurance company for so many years. Thanks for being there for us Laura and Amanda keep them cheerful smiles and greeting going. Robert M. Morris a very highly satisfied customer.

STAY AWAY! I have been with STATE FARM for over a year and I called to cancel my policy because I did not like the new rate after a renewal. A girl named Tina told me that it was not that simple and that I needed to show them that I either surrendered my plates or send them my new insurance policy binder. (Last time I checked yes it is that simple TINA. Just cancel the policy effective when I say so.) Option 1 - Surrender my plates to the DMV and show them the receipt. (Ehhh yeah, Im not surrendering my out of state plates to switch insurance companies) Option 2 - Mail them my insurance binder for my next POLICY. (No way! A simple notice to cancel should be more then enough to cancel. This place is a joke. I should not have to prove anything to them. They are not a DMV. simply trying to delay me from canceling to suck some more cash out of me.

Ive been with State Farm since i started driving so every time the Army moved us I dutifully switched my policy but not anymore. My policy price doubled when we moved to New York and whenever i called to ask for the reason I was told that there were fees for switching. Alright, well that goes on for 3 months and in this time i call multiple times trying to figure out why and I either get the tired your rates will level out or they take my name and number and never call back. After 3 months of double payments (!!!!) I see a ten dollar drop and nope! Im out. I call to cancel and explain why and get immediate attitude. I was fine with paying a bit more to have a local office and an insurance i was used to but it was both obscenely priced and rude.

I switched my auto insurance over to State Farm a few years ago and I wish I had started with them from the beginning! They are so helpful and actually care about their customers. I called today with a question on my policy, being a new home owner I was completely baffled, but Laura far exceeded all expectations and made sure I understood everything. She was patient and friendly the whole time. Not once did I feel I was irritating her like you get with a lot of call centers. Thank you for all your help!!

This place is absolutely awful! My husband and I called about insuring a rental house we had and they never called back. We called them 3 times in 3 weeks and I finally had to go in in person to get anything accomplished! Then after everything was taken care of, finally, they tried to sell me life insurance for every member of our family.

Laura and her office have the worse ever bunch of attitudes. I have been in there several times to handle insurance business and they would answer the phone, put the person on hold to look up the information and be talking about the person while they had them on hold. Very unproffesional
