Awful, they stuck us in a smokey nasty dirty room, with flies and used toothpicks on the floor. They seemed to have a problem that we used priceline to book the hotel and treated us like crap. They would only switch us into another smoke filled room. The furniture was GROSS with burn marks- not a good way to start our adventure/vacation in NYC. Even worse was the manager Robert was so flustered and useless, he never tried to improve the situation. He was supposed to find us a new room the next day, we got back and the cleaning lady did not clean the room until 8 pm, we walk in and she says i thought you were switching rooms, nice of him to call us and tell us. He said i did call you did not answer (we were in nyc- like we would be in our room all day). He could have left a message or tried our cell phone. What a POS. the only good thing was free happy hour and breakfast, but it was not good enough to make me ever stay here again. i WISH I WOULd have paid more to stay somewhere that did not ruin my vacation. (The fairfield marriott was much nicer) We also had a dirty plate outside our door that nobody picked up in 2 days!! When i mentioend it ROBERT said we have a cleaning crew. He has no control over anything. Its nasty. AND The CONCIERGE is invisible, he is never at the desk, we went at 11:30 ok he was at lunch understandable, but everytime we went after that the sign said be back at 3. be back at 10, be back at 9. The bell hops are weird and charge you to hold your luggage. At the marriott no charge to hold luggagge and there was ALWAYS someone at the concierge desk, ALWAYS.

Loved the Conrad! The Good: The price was Decent, when it comes to New York Hotels its hard to find a “Cheap/Affordable/price friendly” hotel. This one was well worth the price, the entry way was absolutly beautiful the architecture the colors the designs-----> fabulous. The Rooms Amazing, I had the fortune of rooming with my brother who on his free time in the hotel loves to watch the Big Bang Theory, I do not, so I discovered the bedroom and living area can be seperated by a moving wall! I spent most of my time in this hotel discovering other things about it. Throughout my investigation I heard occasional booms whilst in the main entry way, I assumed it was thundering however on closer inspection I found that the building the hotel occupies also holds a Movie Theater, the loud rumbles I heard must have been that. So I sat through my fourth viewing of Wreck It Ralph! I also had the chance to sit in their business center where I made myself at home and got a ton of work done, I also saw that you can bring your dogs, as long as they met the weight requirement. Over all this was one of my favorite hotels that i have been too.

This is my go too place for New York - its reasonably priced and has (relatively) massive rooms (w/ a sitting room, and spacious shower and bedroom). On top of that it feels like a space pod straight out of the future - a cozy, modernist cocoon of tranquility. (The surrounding area also serves to enhance the environment of repose - upper Battery Park City is relatively quiet, clean, and sleepy, at night.) If I may digress for a note on the parent brand: Hilton - I feel that more than any other hotel brand they set them selves apart, not by the service or the amenities (tho those are great too), but by their attention to optimizing the customer experience. This hotel exhibits this in such small ways as lights that turn on automatically when you open the closets (the lights to the rooms also turn on when you open the doors) and pocket doors between all of the regions of the room, which are not strictly necessary, but lend a extra level of privacy while using some of the multi-purpose areas of the room.

This hotel was AWESOME. The bed was comfortable, the rooms very nice and the staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the area was clean and kid friendly. It definitely help make my first New York City trip a wonderful one. However, I am concerned with the fact that I left a couple things in the room and according to hotel security, nothing was found. One of the items was an ear thermometer, no biggy I can buy another one but the other was my daughters birth certificate. That is one thing that isnt easily replaced and I know its my fault for leaving it, however, housekeeping should have turned it in. I know for a fact it was in the room, I put it in a drawer next to the bed the day we arrived and never thought to retrieve it. But other than that, I would give this hotel 5 stars and shame on the people that say New Yorkers are not friendly! I think the staff at this hotel went above and beyond when it came to treating you as a guest!!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around... Visited NYC last week during my birthday and the Conrad New York played such a big part in my overall enjoyment of the trip. Upon check-in, Lori at the front desk noticed it was my birthday, and later on surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate sent to our room. What a nice gesture! The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well appointed. Service is excellent too. I had to get my shoes shined quickly, and despite the normal 2-hour shoe shine turnaround requirement, the staff exceeded my expectations by showing up at my door and immediately polished my shoes, within just 10 minutes. The food at Atrio is also wonderful. This is one of my favorite hotels in North America!

We just returned from a weekend getaway in NYC with our two kids and our stay at the Embassy Suites was perfect. After searching for an affordable hotel with a bit more room in Manhattan, we came up with this gem. Last year, we stayed at a hotel near Times Square and paid quite a bit more for quite a bit less. The Embassy Suites provided a lot more room, a fabulous breakfast, and the location turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Being located in Lower Manhattan enabled us to tour Chinatown, Little Italy, Tribeca, Soho, Greenwich Village,Chelsea, and Little Italy with more convenience than our location last year in Times Square. I was also able to take a very peaceful early morning walk around beautiful Battery Park. The room was clean, well appointed, and incredibly roomy. Overall, a great experience.

Very nice property, beautiful and well kept. Conveniently located without being in all the craziness of other hotels located in the WTC area & financial district. Everything you need is close by, with easy access to the financial district, battery park, etc. super nice staff, very professional without being too stuffy. The lobby restaurant had a fantastic selection of very well prepared food. We had an issue with our room at the DoubleTree so we moved to the Conrad and I am so glad we did the stay here absolutely made our trip.

Our room was ready long before we were there and we were able to check in early. Same thing with checking out. We wanted to check out a little later and they let us stay for another 2 hours with no additional charge. Housekeeping kept everything very clean. The room was very modern looking and the view was great. Would definitely come again!

Nice new rooms but small. No attention to detail. Room service does not answer phone, room, concierge never there so no such service. No bath in suites. No spa, small basic gym, heating in room poor so in freezing temperatures - cant get it right. Loads of school trips staying so teenagers smooching on sofas everywhere. No atmosphere. Food in restaurant quite good - the beef stake was outstanding. Though diamond member no such treatment. Stay in Refinery, Gransevoort or similar cool places for same money.

Came in on a red eye from Las Vegas. Front desk was very friendly and got us into our room for a power nap by 11 am. The room is a beautiful suite with an espresso maker. Got the housekeeper to bring extra pods of the bold. Perfection. We have a nice view of the Hudson River. Bfast is taken care of every morning with vouchers due to my gold Hilton status. Plus free wi-fi. I love this place. Plus it is very close to where Beezy lives so we get to see her and her brilliant dog, Lila.

This is a very nice hotel. Room sizes do vary. Direct experience tells me guests staying for multiple nights are treated well whereas if you are only staying for one night you may not be treated as well. Furthermore, if you book through a third party like Priceline or Expedia, prepare yourself to be treated like a second class citizen upon check in. I have experienced this at most Hilton properties as it seems to be part of their latest front desk training program.

This is a great hotel. It is sparkling clean, provides all the amenities you would need including a great "happy hour" with vouchers for drinks and snacks. The view of the Hudson River is lovely and there is an interesting structure dedicated to the Irish people across the street. It is quiet in this area and will take you probably 20 min. by cab or 1/2 hr. by subway to get midtown, but it is worth it. An all around great experience that I highly recommend.

I have stayed at the Conrad NY twice in 2013, one of which with my children. I was there both times as a tourist. Both stays exceeded expectations. The service was five star. Kudos to the hard work of all the staff we came into contact with. The rooms are large, which means HUGE by NYC standards. I enjoyed the location too. The modern feel was unique. I loved the shower, not typical for a hotel. Keep up the great work Conrad. Highly recommend.

Location is right on the pier with a great view of Jersey City and the river. A few minutes away from the world trade center puts it in a fairly convenient place. The room was a good suite with a separated bedroom and living room each with their own tv so no fighting for what to watch. The only point that bothered me was that the shower and bathroom were separated such that you had to walk in the hallway to reach the other. Overall good experience!

The staff was extremely nice, and the rooftop bar would have been amazing if not so crowded. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower disappointed me... for one thing, no bathtub at a place this nice?? There could at least have been a small seat on the wall or something. Also there was no massage/high pressure option with the shower heads. The little shower room was very nice and attractive though. Overall a very nice place to stay.

I have never stayed at this hotel, visited during the day before though. Our IT firm helped a client that had an event there a few weeks back and the hotel was gracious enough to hold our equipment for us until we picked it up. The pick-up did not come until 2 weeks later. Darwin at the front desk was a big help in tracking it down while he was helping "actual" customers. I will stay here for sure now just based off the service.

The Conrad is a very nice looking hotel located right across the street from the freedom tower in the financial district of NYC. The conference rooms was clean and up to date as well as the dwellings throughout. After our presentation they provided finger food and open bar. The food was good and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would look forward to having more functions there by my company in the future.
