I have worked in the 1st and 3rd party collections since 1998. I just wanted to let some people know exactly what FDCPA covers. An agent can yell as long as not threatening, and they can end the call. It is discouraged but in all fairness Debtors are considered the "least sophisticated consumer", I did not make up this term this is in the FDCPA teachings... I personally do not think that every person is rude and I am not rude to each person. However these agents have a job and they have to collect the debt. It does not matter if you are unemployed, the economy is in a recession; whereas I personally understand and have been there but this does not stop my personal bill collectors from calling me also. These agents are trying to maintain their jobs and feed their families too. So in the future either you are going to pay it or not. Do not make false payment arrangements ....Try and make fair deals with the agents and do not seek to pay 15-25% of debts not going to happen... Here is a list of what FDCPA covers ,,, just because you found the call unprofessional does not mean a lawsuit they have to break one of the following: The FDCPA restricts debt collectors from engaging in conduct including the following: * Contacting a third party who does not owe the debt, such as a relative, neighbor, or your employer. Co-signers to the debt, however, may be contacted by the debt collector; * Threatening to refer your account to an attorney, harm your credit rating, repossession or garnishment, without actual intention of action on the threat. Please note that a debt collector may warn you of an actual impending intention to refer your case to an attorney or to report your debt to a credit agency. What they cannot do is use a false threat to try to intimidate you into paying; * Making repeated telephone calls or telephone calls at unreasonable times. The act defines unreasonable times as contat before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM, unless you have given the debt collector permission to contact you during those hours; * Placing telephone calls to an inconvenient place. For example, contacting you at work in violation of a policy by your employer that is known to the debt collector or following a request by you that they not contact you at work; * When placing a telephone call to you at work, informing your employer of the purpose of the call, unless first asked by the employer; * Using obscenity, racial slurs or insults; * Sending letters which appear to have come from a court; * Seeking collection fees or interest charges not permitted by your contract or by state law; * Requesting post-dated checks with the intention to prosecute if they bounce; * Suing in courts far removed from your place of residence; * Making certain false representations in association with efforts to collect the debt, including the false claim that the person contacting you in relation to the debt is an attorney, falsely claiming to have started a lawsuit, using a false name, or using stationery that is designed to look like an official court or government communication; * Using false claims to collect information about the debtor, such as pretending to be conducting a survey; * Threatening you with arrest if you do not pay the debt.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This is the most disrespectful and rude debit collecting company that I have ever encountered. With an exception to one lady who was actually nice enough to help me resolve an issue that was not my fault. In short, a housing company tried to charge me and my sorority sister for the same room which is against the law. My father and I had $8,000 on our credit which of course put a huge dent in my credit score. Which happened just before I needed to sign another lease with someone else. All in all, the service was piss poor and although the debt was adjusted they still could careless about this inconvenience.

funny, i have asked and asked for proof of the debt, and all i get is people saying they will call me back. they record the calls, but never give me answers. i have tried to call the apartment complex where the debt is supposed to originate from and they jsut refer me back to these people. I guess the only way to try to deal with them is to take them to court, their practices are the worst. I also looked them up on rip off report and they are really, bad. maybe there is an attorney out there that would like to do a class action law suit, maybe there could be some money in it for you.

Although I was sent to them by an apartment I broke the lease with due to job moving to another state, I HAVE made payment arrangement with them. they might tell you cant but they are just trying to collect the debt, that is there Job, I have never been harassed or any one been rude to me, I make my payments faithfully every month and I am almost done paying, I accidentally missed one month and they called me to offer a pay off, I explained I had just forgot to make my payment and they were very nice about is. I have no negative comments about them,

Rude employees and unprofessional. I was not willing to settle any debt with them because of their attitude and their unwillingness to change my account representative (she was super condescending and just a flat out jerk). I just called the company in which I had been in debted too and told them I would settle with them since I owe them and they told me they will contact SMS in regards to the agreed payments. This is probably a better route to settling your debt, just make sure everything is in writing and that you get copies of all your payments.

What a rip-off outfit. Made a deposit, receded it same day. (Stopped payment on CC also). Got calls from So. Management. Demanded their $200. I actually went to the complex and offered them the money - that I did not owe. They refused to take it. There is a law firm ( look on You Tube) who will take cases against So. Systems. Actually the company is owned by the owners of the apartments. When trying to get the matter solved - every call I made to them, I was hung up on. These crooks must feel the heavy hand of a judge.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE, BY NO MEANS WILL THEY MAKE THIS ANY EASIER ON YOU EITHER. IN THE PROCESS OF A DISPUTE THE ONLY WAY THE WILL ACCEPT IT IS IF YOU MAIL IT TO THEM! ITS 2017 FAX, EMAIL SOMETHING ELSE. STOP BEING SO RUDE TO PEOPLE AND MAKING THINGS IMPOSSIBLE ON WORKING CITIZENS THAT TRY TO DO RIGHT. NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS LOOKING FOR THEIR NEXT DOLLAR.

Absolutely the most rudest company. Call to settle a debit, and see if there is anything i can do to settle the amount. Robert was complete nasty and hung up on me when i asked to settle for a lesser amount. They will not listen to you. I was cut off numberous times. Settlement was never made

If they call you RECORD the conversation. Look up the Fair Debt Collection and Practices Act. If this collection agency evens RAISES THEIR VOICE to you ...cal the Better Business Bureau and report them. Enough complaints to the BBB will generate an Attorney General complaint.

They called my house for my boyfriend. The lady was very rude and unprofessional. When I called back and asked for a supervisor I was told that there was no way for me to be transferred to one. REALLY? However they could get a message to them.

The worst customer service ever. After refusing to provide a validation of debt paperwork I asked to speak to Manager or whomever was above the rep and was hung up on. I will be doing a formal complaint as well.
