So EZ Mortgage
I have just closed my first loan with UWM. They came highly recommended and these days you have to be skeptical even when they are highly recommended. However I checked lenders to see who I should put my client with and UWM was not only No.1 on the price sheet, they were beating the second place lender out of 101 by 5,000 in credit to my borrower. My client was already locked in with another lender for 1/8th% higher rate and they wanted to charge him $500.00 in closing cost. UWM allowed me to fund his loan at the par rate, cover ALL of his closing cost and still NET him -$1,650.00 in extra credit above and beyond the closing cost. Simply amazing, at this point I am extremely concerned about their ability to fund the loan quickly and smoothly. I am thinking there must be some kind of catch, I have been in wholesale lending for 5 years and there is normally only one lender with that kind of pricing and they are super strict so you better know their system or you loan may not fund at all let alone on time. Long story short, I registered the loan and locked it in minutes, first time around no problems. I submitted the loan and to my surprise it was EZ, they had my approval in three days. Every time we uploaded a condition, they reviewed it and gave a response within 24 hrs every single time. The clients insurance company made so many errors and each time they corrected one, they created another one, but UWM was there to save the day and always got back to us quickly to make corrections. They always answer their phones and they lived up to every word they spoke. I have to say its the first for me. To the other reviewers before me, it could have been your account executive, mine was Steve Cook.
So my refi process has been ongoing since the last 2 months now. I have received almost 10 CDs. Every time i get one there is some errors and have to have it re verified by UW. I was initially qouted an interest rate of 4% with LPMI, 20 days later when i was told my loan is supposed to close my broker calls me and informs me that there is a hold up from the lender side, god knows what. He comes back a day later and says that it may take a couple of weeks more but good news is that we have got you a lower interest rate of 3.75%. so i am all happy and dont mind waiting. 2 weeks go by and when i get back to my broker he says that there was a mistake, and the 3.75% is without LPMI. so now my rate goes up to 4.375%. Which i was still ok with as i just wanted to get done and close. Then i receive multiple wrong CDs with wrong pay off information, wrong impound amounts, etc. I tried calling UWM directly but they refuse to talk to the borrower citing some federal law. I do not know what else i should do to get my loan closed. It has been extremely frustrating to say the least. I have returned any requested docs within a few hours of it being request, however even typo errors on the CD takes over 2-3 days to get fixed. Very inefficient. Update on 8/4/16. Now it seems we are waiting on the 4506-T to return. I fail to understand why this was not requested earlier and waited till the last minute. It has been 3 days since i signed the 4506-T and sent it but they say it has not been received yet. This is extremely upsetting. I dont have any hopes that this will be done anymore.
We have had a terrible experience doing business with this company. Last month we received a new escrow accounting...with the insurance fees being deducted 2 times in the same month. 10 calls later...no resolution beyond several customer service members stating they saw the issue and they would alert their insurance department. Nothing was done. In addition, a supervisor promised to call when he was able to get the problem resolved, same day. No return call. And 2 additional messages were left for this supervisor -- no return call to either of those messages. Today we received a letter stating they did not have record of the Master Insurance policy, so if we did not prove insurance, they were going to buy a policy for us and charge it to us. So, yet another call was placed. But, in fact, they do have the policy and all information required. In addition, our mortgage has been sold and the new company is to be paid beginning 4/1. But, the new company has incorrect information from UWM - their information shows and an increased payment amount. However, in talking with customer service agent at UWM today -- we actually have an overage in escrow and they owe us money and a payment amount which is less than our current amount.. Very frustraing! Very time consuming. We would not recommend this company to anyone!
Good afternoon, I need to give kudos to George today. I have closed many loans with UWM and the closing process between the title company and closer can be tedious at times. I can say this was the easiest, most efficient, professional closer I have had at UWM. George immediately acknowledged the closer and introduced himself. I sent a request for closing instructions at 8:30 am at 10AM title did not understand the upload to portal and George immediately responded and guided through. He then responded to title he had the package and would review shortly. In an hour he reviewed had title make corrections communicating the entire time and by 12:45 had balanced and was finished. This is how all closers should work I understand not always this fast but the difference with George and a few of my past experiences was his communication, patience and professionalism to all of us. I am so pleased with George and would love to have him on all my closings he is a UWN ROCKSTAR and I do not give compliments lightly. Thank you George. Kimber White RE FINANCIAL Services
I am writing to describe my experience working with Anthony Schlemon and the whole team at United Wholesale Mortgage. I avoided working with them for a long time because, even though they told me their website was easier, I knew it was different from what I was used to. A couple of months ago I took the plunge and I was amazed. First of all - the most important thing - when you call them they ANSWER THE PHONE. No phone tag. If you email them they ANSWER THE EMAIL. No email tag. If you leave a voice mail they actually CALL YOU BACK PROMPTLY. And they never give up on you - no matter how confused or unsure you get about what you are doing. EVERYONE I have worked with their has been kind and helpful to me and they close their loans FAST. No BS conditions - to tag on when you think you are ready to close conditions. Just a great company with great people. And whoever is reading this - give Anthony a congratulations because he is getting married next weekend!!!
I love the recent pricing adjustment for conventional loans with credit scores down to 680. This was an added benefit to our business because we were able to submit these loans to UWM as to where previously we had to submit them to our 2nd tiered lenders because the pricing difference was so far off. Now with the pricing adjustments for the better we are able to place those loans with UWM. This is a huge win for us. Also, our Account Executive Christina Cella has always been there for us and she allows us to bounce ideas off of her in terms of how to grow our team, business and be successful. We also love how we can ask Christina Cells questions and if she does not know the answer right away so is always using her resources to find them out. Thanks so much and we look forward to the continued success with UWM as our partner.

I wanted to take moment to share my deepest appreciation for Jessica! I so enjoy working with her she is so helpful and and goes above and beyond. Yesterday for example working with me all day on getting a CD balanced and the DOCS were able to be released so the borrower could sign last night. This was very important to be signed yesterday as it was a refinance and beating the EOM funding. Anyway I am not real sure who I am sharing with but I thought it would be great if Jessica received some praise for her dedication and awesomeness!!! I have worked with several other closers that are also great however it seems with Jessica we click and she has never made me feel like she never had time to help me or communicate via email or phone. I appreciate you UWM and Jessica!!!!!
United Wholesale Mortgage is trying to steal our house from us. We have automatic payments deducted from our account every month. They take the money and send a notice of payment received every month. This September they took payment and sent a thank you for payment received yet in the October they claimed we did not pay. They have destroyed our credit ratings and are in the process of trying to foreclose our house. We have even given them extra payments through November yet we still are getting letters from them trying to short sale or foreclose on us. No person at UWM that we have talked to can see any reason for the problem. They tell us not to worry. Too trust them yet every few days we het another more threatening letter. Never do business with this company!!!
The United Wholesale Mortgage website is NOT user friendly. I have tried multiple times to login online. I have been able to once to pay my July 1st payment and after that it has not allowed me to login. I have tried resetting my password but the website does not recognize my email address, even though its the correct email address. I have called into the number provided and have been told the rep has reset my information but havent been able to reset password. I just got off the phone with a rep telling me that I need to have my account deleted and then reactivated. He asked for my telephone number, SS# and the three questions and answers to set up my account... Where is the security in that??? This is unacceptable and would steer clear of this company..

Awful and upsetting. These guys dropped the ball on our loan as we approached closing. Everything with the buyers, loan officer, escrow, realtors were moving so well. Though, when it came for UWM to take the baton and get us to close - they dropped it and have us paying for several thousands of dollars, $ wasted because they will not handle fees incurred due to scheduled movers having to cancel last minute. Our closing has been pushed over a week causing huge pitfalls for ourselves and the sellers of the home. Wish we had taken a different path with another lender, as these guys have put a stain on our first home buying experience.
