I could write about a few bad experiences of my own (some of them already been formally reported) at the LIJH, but this time I will write something that I witness today (12-5-2016) at the Dental Department. Front desk receptionist (her name begins a T) was yelling like a maniac, verbally offending, barking like a dog over the phone to someone who seemed to be a patient. Her boss (her name begins with an S and she also speaks Spanish) was standing next to her listening, smiling and celebrating her subordinate attacking verbally the person on the other side of the line. The boss (S) saw me approaching at the front desk. She made an eye signal to the receptionist (T) took the phone away from her and she (S) continued the talking in very extra nice way. Her actions (S) was even more repulsive, inmoral, unethical, unscrupulous, wrongdoing than her employee. She covered the other up..... They cover each other. For this and more experiences of mine 1 star is too much for the Dental department at LIJH.

absolutely HORRIBLE L&D is... they are very uncaring and unprofessional. took them hours of me screaming my head off in pain to realize they put the epidural in the wrong place. they never gave me any of my information your supposed to get when you first get admitted. my baby had to go to the NICU and they said he should be good to go in 5 days. there is nothing wrong with my son. they dont give you any information, they dont answer your questions, they are making up every little excuse to keep him there longer than he needs. they are just pulling my leg and milking me for money i will NEVER have another baby in this hospital again!!!

Horrible .Katz women hospital emergency sucks.took my wife to emergency on 08/07/2016 leaving three other hospitals on the way.took almost 3 hrs to get admitted.nurse were not only rude but replied to my every question was "I DONT KNOW".my wife had complications .their nurses on duty were careless,unprofessional and created potentially dangerous situation for my wife and baby.in short I will never suggest them.if management reads my comment plz take this issue seriously.ur staff has no right to play with some ones life.

Labor and delivery and postnatal care. Hospital is not as it was in the past. PCAs have an attitude and speak to you as if they are doing you a favor. Some of the nurses are still great. The lack of care was clearly visible from the moment I reached the hospital. Had I known I would have chosen to deliver elsewhere especially being that we have to come out of pocket thousands of dollars.

My last experience was terrible. We wanted 5 hours to be seen only to be given a pepcid ac and basically sent home. They did not AT ALL help me with the reason I came there in the first place....which in a sense was a life threatening issue. I have to now pick up the pieces and find help else. Dr. SILVER WAS NOT COMPASSIONATE OR HELPFUL AT ALL TO ME.

Gave birth (5/1/16) at North Shore LIJ "Katz Womens" Labor and Delivery tower 3 and tower 4 lets not forget the amazing nursery nurses doctors aids and students xoxoxoxo The best care for myself and my daughter! The best bedside manner towards myself my baby and my family! No issues here, I would come here for all my medical emergency needs!

Very very kind professional staff and thorough pre-care, duration care, post care. All procedures, administered medicines, and team care were fully explained and patiently answered all and any questions asked. Every staff member gives very professional care and patience with every treatment given.

No matter where we are we make sure we take our daughter here. The treatment here is the best around. Doctors and staff are very supportive and helpful. They made the experience as comfortable as it can be for us.
