I have been a member of Heartland CU in Minnesota for over 25 years. I have utilized a wide range of their services and have always found them to be easy to work with. I have never had any charges appear on my account that were erroneous. Any time I had a question about my account, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have used other credit unions and traditional banks over the years and have been disappointed by the service and fees they charged. I have recommended Heartland Credit Union in Minnesota to many friends and relatives - non of them have anything bad to say and are happy that they made the switch from their old financial institution. I never review anything - this is the first time I have ever felt the need to stick up for an organization due to bad reviews. The earlier reviewers must either be confused about who they are reviewing or have some ax to grind. The bad reviewers should verify that they provided a review for the correct organization and provide a retraction or contact Heartland to resolve their issues. If their comments are meant to be harmful without evidence to support their claims then they need to be prosecuted for liable and slander. This is the type of behavior that makes me not trust these reviews.

This place is a joke. Very unfriendly service all the way to the top of the chain with President Kathy Harrington herself. They boast themselves all over about how they help the community... Pfft what a joke. They will screw you over every single chance they get. Including wanting to get paid for sitting on their high and mighty butts to do absolutely NOTHING. If i could give negative score, I would. Every chance they get they screwed me over... A single mother, who gave detailed instructions about my account.

I really have been unhappy with this bank. I believe they are racially biased. Apparently they use a different "model" for calculating your credit score. Lowering mine by 40 points. Hmmm..poor and very slow customer service.
