I wish there was an option for no stars. I was pre approved for a USDA loan in July of 2015 for a new home build. I work with a Garret who for over six months told me the loan was fine. Three days before we were set to close and move into our new house, I received a phone call from Garret saying the loan was denied. Garret had over six months to work on this loan and waited until three days before we close to start to do his job. He never responded to my phone calls or emails in a timely manor on top of all this. PLEASE look at other Mortgage Companies before working with Vinson Mortgage. I found another lender and was able to save our house and we were able to close with a new lender in less than three weeks. I would hate to know that another family almost became homeless like me thanks to an incompetent loan officer. There is more to how awful this " experience" than I can write on a Google review, but I hope I got my point across.

I have a rental property that I needed to refinance as my previous mortgage had been moved around quite a bit due to banks being bought and sold and was running into some issues. I tried several other local mortgage companies and banks, but no one seemed to think I was going to be able to make it work. I wanted to give it one last effort before taking the banks absurd offer of almost 8% financing and called Vinson Mortgage. Within about 2 weeks, the loan that no one else told me was possible was signed, sealed, and delivered, at a great rate. Being able to refinance saves me a few hundred dollars per month, and also was able to give me a little cash back to put back into my property. Vinson Mortgage made the process fast and easy, not only will I go back to them next time I need mortgage related services, but I highly recommend them to anyone in need of financing.

Worked with Mr. Jim Lyle at Vinson Mortgage Group on financing a Condo as a self employed individual. I thought it would be a tough process but Jim made it easy for me and cost effective. He took the extra time to explain every last detail of what would save me the most money and provide the better bank for my buck. In the end, the deal was better than I could have imagined. You truly need to take the time and work with him. you will not regret it. I am very happy now and will continue to do business with Vinson Mortgage for years to come.

HORRIBLE!!! They dont follow through with their work. We were supposed to be closing 2 different times now and now they are saying we cant close.this has been goin on for 2 months..we are about to be homeless due to their bs..if your smart you will find a different company.even the lenders boss was no help
