We had an energy audit done by Green Improvement Consulting last June.The whole crew from GIC were very polite and professional throughout the whole process.They sent us a comprehensive energy report outlining and explaining all areas that needed some attention to improve the energy efficiency in our house. They left it up to us to decide if we wanted them to make any of the improvements to our house. They also gave us many tips on things we could do ourselves. We live in a small raised ranch house that is about 40 years old. We knew we had some issues but we had no idea that we would see such a dramatic improvement in our electric bill and overall comfort in our house in less than a year. We are on a level plan with our electricity provider, so once a year the amount is refigured reflecting our electricity usage for the previous 12 mo. We just received our bill with the new level payment for the next 12 mo. It was $30.00 less per month! Needless to say, we are very pleased with the overall weatherproofing GIC did for us. We highly recommend this company and their services.

I was the Program Manager (2011-2012) for Housewarmings, a program of Bridging the Gap in Kansas City, that helped homeowners achieve higher energy efficiency with professional energy audits, professional installation of attic insulation and air sealing combined with my direct work with family members to seal basements and wall/floor penetrations. Green Improvement Consulting acted as my professional partners providing quality audits and coordinating all the professional services and material acquisition. Together, we serviced 32 homes in the inner city of Kansas City MO at no cost to the homeowners. GIC worked with the homeowners to provide guidance and paperwork necessary for the families to qualify for EWKC and Home Performance with Energy Star rebates. This program in partnership with GIC achieved an average of 23% increase in energy efficiency with several homes achieving over 30% energy savings.

Once we found our new home our first priority was to schedule an Energy Audit on our new home. We had Green Improvement Consulting come out to our home last November to do an energy audit. They were professional, friendly, on time and very thorough throughout the entire process. They were at our house for about an hour the first time when they ran the audit. In about a week we received the audit report and learned where our home was leaking and what we could do to seal up everything. We scheduled an appointment about a week later for them to come out and do the work. We have been very pleased with the results and the lower energy costs! Working with Green Improvement was a very positive experience from my initial contact with the company throughout the completion of the project. Luke was very helpful and informative and seemed to be very knowledgeable concerning any and all rebates available. We were in need of more insulation in our attic and we found GIC. From the initial phone call, to the installation, GIC was second to none. They are very responsive to email and phone calls and were patient with all the questions we had. They worked quickly and efficiently. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of an energy audit or insulation addition. We can feel a huge difference with the temperatures in our home and could feel the difference no more than 2 hours after they left. The decision to hire them was a great choice. Green Improvement Consulting came to my house for an energy audit. They were very thorough in gathering all the information they needed. They measured every aspect of my home, tested my furnace and water heater for carbon monoxide and correct flu draft, observed all the insulation levels, did a thermal scan with an infrared camera, and answered all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend GIC to anyone needing an energy audit. They also qualified me for rebates for the insulation i put in my attic. The infrared camera was pretty cool and now my home feels much more comfortable.

I called this company last year because I was tired of my heating and cooling bills being so high. After their very thorough inspection I was told my attic was lacking insulation and my house needed to more air tight. Since the improvements they recommended were done to my house I have already seen a huge drop in my cooling bill and hope to see the same with heating in the winter. They even helped me save a little money on the upfront cost by getting me rebates through my utility companies. These guys did a wonderful job and I recommend anyone in KC to give these guys a shout!

They came out to do the initial inspection/estimate completely at my convenience since both my wife and I work full time M-F. Their recommendations were fairly comprehensive and they explained everything. Beyond that, they came when the said they would come, they charged what they said they would charge, and they did what they said they would do. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to improve the efficiency of their home.

A friend recommended I contact Green Improvement Consulting about setting up an appointment for an Energy Audit. I was renting an older home and the utility bills were RIDICULOUS. They were very accommodating to my schedule and completed an Energy Audit. They sent a detailed report on ways I could save money on my utility bills and educated me on rebates available. They also came back and air-sealed all the problems areas. I am extremely appreciative for the services provided by this company.

House was seriously drafty and January was coming around. We had cold air coming in and the heater seemed to be running 24/7. Called Green Improvement consulting and spoke with Luke. They did some testing and afterwards were able to completely seal up the house. Drafts were gone and heater was not running 24/7 anymore. The test they do can actually measure how drafty the house is. They also submitted the rebate information for me to the electric company. Would definitely recommend.

They did a really thorough job of locating energy loss within my house. My home is only 5 years old so I thought the house would be good.
