This is another good review. Unknown to us, we had a hot water line junction point leak for days inside the ceiling between the first and second floor. It ruined brand new engineered hardwood flooring in several rooms. UPC contracted out for water remediation to prevent and further damage. We had the pipe fixed which was not covered by either UPC or an aftermarket home warranty plan. After a few weeks, we received a check for all damages (a whole new floor throughout the ground floor, walls of sheetrock, trim pieces). Once funds were received, repairs were completed and the house looks like the event never happened. BTW: out of my pocket, I had the plumber replace all water fittings he could get his hands on to prevent this from happening again. I am very pleased with UPC.

My experience while going to seek service on site was horrible. I was approached by a security guard that continued to place his hand on his holster multiple times as I opposed no threat, windows were down in the vehicle and my hands were completely visible nor was I combative by any means. It was very obvious to me I was being racially profiled. The person pulling in prior to me faced no oppisition from the security guard but was a white individual. I then made contact with this company shortly after leaving the premises and they made no effort to acknowledge or even apologize for my encounter. If this is the type of experience you want go for it, otherwise place your business elsewhere.

After waiting for more than a month UPC denied the claim saying it is not covered. I knew the leak was not accidental and I had told them so. After 6 weeks they denied the claim saying "the leak was not accidental" . This is my first time calling a home insurance company and I am disappointed not because the claim is denied but because it took 6 weeks for them to tell me what I told them on the first day.

I had a great experience in filing a Claim on my Roof. Despite being backed up in Claims due to storms in Florida, Independent Adjusters worked with my Roofer and approved my Claim. Did my Insurance skyrocket after the claim? No it did not, it do go $100-200 which was the typical Inflation Adjustment rate.

UPC Insurance told me 48 hours to get something done on a leak at my house, been going on over TWO WEEKS and all they are doing is avoiding me and my calls. What a waste of time and money. Avoid UPC Insurance at all cost. Unreliable and completely unprofessional.
