I moved into a two-bedroom condo in San Francisco and our designer recommended Kanler Construction general contractor for our major renovation projects. It was such a stress reliever not to interview and talk to a million GCs, and knowing a good one right off the bat. Jose, the project manager, came in, listened to all our needs and specificity notated our request. We had a complete estimate for everything within only a few days including cost and time frames for: hardwood floor install in both rooms; hardwood floor repair for the rest of the apartment; tile install for the foyer; fireplace tile surround plus fireplace repainted; entire condo repainting, including ceilings and; complete kitchen remodel. We also needed help with furniture and other finishes after the remodeling, and Kanler interior design department came in really handy for that! Kanler was able to accommodate with all architect’s drawings, all subcontractors and permit running service. They are a one-stop service. Literally anything and everything related to construction, they can handle it for you. I have heard horror stories about people’s GCs. But in my case, the work was done on time and within budget, even with the inevitable surprises that always come up during renovation. Kanler crew was punctual, always respectful and very neat. Maloos came to help to manage our tile projects, both she & Jose were obsessive about details. And honestly, when it comes to high-end remodeling, the devil is in the details like they say.

They claim to be general contractors but I am not sure they can read a plans. I had a large renovation. Renovating the kitchen, adding 600sqft, remodeling 2 bathroom and the garage. Multiple bids but different companies and Kanler came in the low middle. Approximately $480-590k including materials. My experience with them was bad!!!. I felt that they were trying to cut corners. They bid the work out to subcontractors with the lowest bids. Their whole goal was generate maximum profit. without any quality control over the subcontractors that came to do the work. Small example we failed inspection twice. first was for safety reasons. Instead of doing the plumbing correctly and safely they ran plumbing through most of the studs in a bottom floor 2/3 which weakened entire structure. The city inspector made them do the joists which was an additional $12000 cost to me. Even though it was their mistake. We failed the second inspection because unsafe electrical work. Their plumber was so dumb that he left a hole in my roof that had to be patched after water leak. There were many other problems that at are too many to mention. After they were done I had to hire someone else to go through and fix all the little details and problems they left. Fyi my pm was Richard so be careful

We hired Kanler to remodel our kitchen and are very happy with the outcome. Kanler was the only company that gave us the kind of confidence we needed for the success of our project given the crazy busy schedules my husband and I have given our jobs and two kids. They follow an Uber-like model where they put together a team for our project - electrician, plumber, granite-guy, tile-guy, etc. Everyone chosen for our project was a specialist and ONLY did that; not a generalist like some of the other GCs we spoke to would have provided. This approach also helped us get the best cost because a lot of professionals were contacted by Kanler for our project and only the reasonably priced ones were finally selected by Kanler. To top it all off, given their dashboard on their website, we were able to follow along the progress of our project, given comments/inputs for the choice of our faucets, appliances and other items we wanted to choose. Overall, the experience was so painless and so rewarding at the end. We would highly recommend Kanler to anybody!

We hired Kanler immediately after buying our new house. We shopped around for a general contractor quite a lot, and Kanler was an obvious choice pretty much right off the bat. Their price were not the lowest, but their customer service was exceptional. Very responsive, very available and eager to please. I expect these from a service company and was pleased that they excelled at it. Rajiv, the owner, makes sure that the company follows through on all promises it makes. We had a very tight timeline to move into our house because our rental lease was expiring. Despite several unforeseen things that came up during construction, Kanler was able to almost get the project done within our timeline (within a week of the deadline). We were very pleased with their work and hired them again for doing our landscaping project. We also recommended Kanler to several of our friends and we plan to continue to use them for all of our future projects.

I hired Kanler to completely remodel one of the rental units in the building that I own. I was impressed by their 21st Century approach towards construction. They had a unique way of estimating my construction cost. Given that I had no urgency to renovate the apartment, Kanler was able to put together a team of construction professionals to this complete remodel for me for $16,000. Including materials! Just for references my other bids came around 72,000 for the same work. I was amazed beyond belief. Skeptical at first, I ended up being extremely please by their service. The owner Rajiv Agarwal was always available, even when I texted him at midnight sometimes to discuss last minute changes I made to my bathroom tiles. Overall, the result came out to be fantastic and I was able to rent the apartment for twice as much as before. I would highly recommend Kanler to anybody. Great quality, super cool business model, and great service!

After a horrible contractor experience in the past, I was really careful in picking the next contractor. The work was left unfinished and there was construction debris all over my house. After a second process of evaluating contractors for my job I decided to go with Kanler because of the quality of their previous work and the great people they had on their team.
