I am truly disgusted and disappointed with the treatment received from Nice Plumbing, I will make sure never to work with them again, and will warn other potential customers before contacting them. They showed no respect for me or my family after almost three weeks with no AC, with the temperature rising to 90 degrees inside my house. The issue started on the Thursday before Memorial Day, when my AC stopped working. I called my home warranty company who placed a work order with Nice Plumbing, who was supposed to call me within 48 hours to schedule a site visit. After 5 days of waiting, I called Nice Plumbing only to find out that they hadn’t booked me on their schedule yet, and I was to keep waiting for their call. Approximately two and a half weeks later, one of their technicians Daniel Moore, comes to my house, and apparently nothing was broken, just some maintenance and cleaning was needed for my AC unit, for which he charged me $300 ($75 for the deductible + $225 for the cleaning). The AC unit worked properly for about 7 hours, and that same night, the problem recurred. Dan had given me his business card with his direct number, in case anything happened. So the next morning, I called Dan directly and left him a message saying that the problem hadn’t been resolved yet, to see if he could stop by again. Nothing, I got no return call, no acknowledgement of my voicemail. My home warranty company calls me again to tell me if the problem had been fixed, I told them what happened, and they said they would be placing a “recall” work order with Nice Plumbing to have them return to my home. I was to wait another 48 hours to get the call to schedule the technician. Five days later, the home warranty company calls me again saying that they will need to transfer my work order to another company, as Nice Plumbing is not responding to their work order. Truly lack of professionalism and their only interest was to come home to charge me for their maintenance fee, I was duped for $225 and the AC remained broken until I call a technician directly and had to pay yet another $300 to get the problem solved. Will never, ever call Nice Plumbing again.

First let me state I have been using this firm for several years having followed this owner, Craig Elliot from Parrish Services where he was in service. My home system was a hybrid with heat pump and oil furnace back-up requiring a certain degree of expertise that is demanding and in this day and is almost impossible to consistently find. Initially the company was excellent but with each subsequent six-month service calls, however, there was more and more emphasis put on the bottom line, with much effort being made to promote additional charges. Recently I was offered one of their specials where for both of my units I could essentially just pay for one in the service contract. Agreeing to this in November 2014 I sent my check in and assumed that this enrolled me. I was contacted in late January with a new special offering the HVAC service biannually and plumbing. I was informed my check was not received and the old offer was no longer available. For a service contract I would have to pay more for the plumbing which I did not want and have an automatic monthly withdrawal from my checking account which I found intrusive and also did not care for. When I offered to pay a year in advance for the service I was told that it was not an option. It must be only their way or nothing. It was the later! This company is very inflexible and therefore should be avoided.

I contacted Nice Home Services to fix my gas fireplace. The whole experience was superb. I was offered several convenient appointment time options. On the day of service, both the technician and the dispatcher kept me updated on the ETA, so I was able comfortable leave the house and get shores done without fear that the technician would show up at my house unexpectedly and me not be home to receive him. The company also sent me an email with the picture of the technician, which tells me that the company values customer safety. The technician was very courteous and communicated very well. He put on shoe covers and kept the working area neat and clean. He made it a priority to respect my home. During conversation he told me that the company holds daily "morning reports" where technicians receive continued education. This is similar to what is done in the health care industry. The company followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the service. I definitely would do business with Nice Home Services in the future.

Technician George Kerr was promptly at my town house today at 3 p.m. I was not able to make it at 2 p.m appointment due to office meeting. George agreed to meet me at 3 p.m. He was waiting outside when I arrived. He explained the entire procedure of Heat Pump Tune-Up & inspection. He took care of the $90 rebate from Virginia Power by filling out the rebate form on his own. All I provided was our VA Power account number. The heat pump Tune-up is not a real tune up as he did not perfomr any cleaning inside the Air handler or the heat pump outside. Mostly inspected the units & checked the output of my current 18 year old Trane/Goodman system. George is polite, friendly & knowledgeable. He provided all answer on how long my system is going to last as long as I continued to do the necessary maintenance. He also did a energy evaluation which is paid ($250) through VA Power. I was able to also get a quote from George on a new system by Trane or Lennox.

We had Nice Home Services come to our house as a vendor from our Home Warranty company to fix what presented as a broken thermostat and a leaking AC unit. The problems ended up being a burned out motor on the furnace caused by the water leak from the AC unit - caused by a backed up drainage pipe. "Nice" describes every part of our experience. The staff on the phones before and after were professional, attentive, and friendly. Our actual service appointment was on time and thorough. It took several steps to determine the problem behind the broken thermostat. Our technicians Mike and Cody were thorough and careful to diagnose each step of the way, explain what was going on each step of the way. We had a different service company in our previous house (who we liked) but I had such a great experience with these guys that I will probably use Nice as my service provider for the new house.

Our experience with Nice was as good as any contractor we have ever dealt with. They were all (everyone we spoke with) courteous, knowledgeable, and every detail of their work they went the extra mile to do a first class job. We asked a lot of questions and did a lot of research before choosing Nice, and they checked out in every way - and then our own installation confirmed everything we had learned in our research. I even spoke to the owner Craig Elliott who personally called me and took time to answer all my questions and give me his personal assurance of quality. And PS - if you get referred to Nice by your Home Warranty have no fear - that is how we met them and were at first wary of a company who depends on HW work - but Nice uses it as a marketing tool, and they have gained a lot of new business - like us - by taking on HW work. I strongly endorse this company.

NiCE Home Services has the best service for all your heating and air conditioning needs. They came out recently to service my air conditioning unit. In the past other companies were at my home and gone in 20 minutes. The NICE technician dedicated at least 2 hours or more of his time to disassemble, inspect and clean my unit. He also made suggestions regarding my water heater and blower fan, and took photos along the way to show me. He was courteous, professional and respectful of my home. He explained in detail everything he was doing along with any concerns. NICE is thorough and reasonably priced. I used them for my dryer vent cleaning in the past as well and referred them to my neighbors . We are all going to have them clean our dryer vents again.

I was having an AC problem and left a frustrated review about the wait time! However I got a call from Sherri almost immediately and she explained to me what was going on and why my process was stalled. Seems like the company is very busy because of the weather but Is trying their hardest to get everyone quick service, and a lot of the wait issues are out of their control. In fact, people even came in on Memorial Day to help serve loyal customers! Sherri is trying to help me out and I really appreciate the attention to customer service . Still crossing my fingers I get the AC fixed soon though

I called Nice to come to get the fireplace insert working again. Although they arrived later than expected, I was kept informed by their Home office as to why they were running late and when I could expect them. When Freddie and Mike arrived they put on shoe coverings to protect my floors. They inspected the insert, removed it and cleaned it. They had it back up and running in 30 minutes. Both Freddie and Mike were polite, professional and respectful. If needed, I will use their services again and recommend the Nice company. Thank you,

On the positive side they were professional about showing up on time! However service is terrible! I would definitely NOT get services through this company, they were not knowledgable they reported the wrong information to my warranty company (which I would never get again either 2-10 home warranty) and they denied my claim but the companies kept the deductible and left me with the problem. Too many times people get bad service and do to write a review to warn people, DONT DO IT!

Our current HVAC system in the home we bought was not working as it should. Called and had a guy out to our house within a few hours. Chatted with him as we already knew what needed to be done based off a friend in the business. Looked at various options for what we need picked one and got financed immediately. Today the unit is being installed! This is wonderful being we have 2 young children and having heat is clearly important. Everyone has been so kind and helpful.

These guys are amazing. Tried Michael and Sons, they are the worst. They could not fix our fireplace and are simply not experts in servicing fireplaces. Chris made a service call within a day of reporting problems through my home warranty. The problem ended up being a simple fuse but he also did a complete system check to make sure everything was functioning. My system was installed in ~94 and has seen better days so its due for an upgrade. Chris gave me his honest opinion and is providing quotes for servicing plans as well as replacement.

I highly recommend N.I.C.E. for any gas fireplace repair or service. Nelson repaired my gas fireplace; I decided to get an annual maintenance contract--and he came back and thoroughly cleaned and serviced it. With the lava rocks and embers added by employee Jesus, the fireplace looks so authentic and is working well. All staff have been efficient, cooperative and pleasant to work with.
