When I found myself in a situation where I required family related legal assistance, I asked around and did lots of research. It was very important to me to find legal representation that was fair, honest, and well experienced. This is definitely a time in a person’s life where they feel exposed and vulnerable. I wanted to make sure that whomever I chose to represent me would make me feel at ease with not only their experience but in how they interact on a personal level. I wasn’t looking for someone that was going to be aggressive for the sake of making the other side lose everything, I was looking for someone that would help me to determine what was right and fair for both sides, and then would help to carry that out appropriately and professionally. When researching online, I found the website for Utah Family Law. I was pleasantly surprised with the wealth of information that was available on their website. Many of the questions and answers that were posted on their website were exactly what I was looking to know, prior to making a choice regarding which firm I would place my trust in. I called and talked to one of their associates, McKail Hamilton. I could not have been more pleased with the knowledge that she had, but also the degree of compassion and understanding on a personal level. I made and appointment to go into the office. After meeting McKail and Eric, I was perfectly at ease to hire them to represent me. Although I needed their services for only a short period of time, the interaction I had with Utah Family Law was professional, honest, and fair. I received advice from them covering many different options and angles. They made sure to understand my situation and tailor their services to my exact needs. I always knew where we stood at any moment in time with status, billing, court deadlines, action items, etc.., as the communications were prompt and frequent. I always felt I had compassionate and experienced people working for my best interest, whatever that happened to be. I found everyone in the office to be pleasant, personable, and very reassuring. If I ever needed legal counsel in this area again, (let’s be honest- I hope I don’t), I would not hesitate to hire Utah Family Law. If you are in need of family legal counsel, I highly recommend checking out the website and then making an appointment to discuss your legal needs with them.

I called to ask a couple simple questions and he shouted at me 3 or 4 times how long do you need how long do you need he said people say they only need 5 minutes and they yack and yack. If he could give him NO stars I would he was a complete jackass.

Eric was quick to answer and helped me help my friend. He is having trouble with his ex in getting what was awarded to him. Thanks to Eric he now has a course of action to follow and see if he can get his things from his ex.

Eric was very helpful and gave me great advice. He returned my phone call promptly (a day earlier than our scheduled appointment), and was honest and sincere when answering my many questions.

I did not have good experience with him. I would recommend against hiring him. A divorce is unpleasant enough by itself. Having Eric as my attorney made it so much worse.

Eric K. Johnson took advantage of me. He ripped me off for over $1000.00 dollars and now I’m seeking getting it resolved though the Utah State Bar. Buyer beware!
