Recently, I overhead the following bits and pieces of a conversation not long ago. Person A: “…such a slime ball… he’s an attorney.” Person B: “Oh, that explains it.” Why is it that we readily associate “slime ball” with attorney, especially a personal injury attorney? I think it’s because we have heard so much about the ambulance chasers, those who fake injury and the attorneys who represent them, and have seen those in-your-face commercials about getting what is “rightfully” yours on TV. I am so grateful that my recent experiences with a personal injury attorney were completely at the positive end of the spectrum. Not long ago, I was involved in a serious cycling accident which left me hospitalized for a total of 10 days. After an examination of my bike, it was believed the accident could have been the result of an assembly issue. I sought the services of John McCabe and his law firm. Not because I thought I had a chance to “get rich” but because I believed, as a person, I deserved the right to be made whole. It was a chance decision to select John. I had nothing to go by but the firms webpage which I found professional and sensible….nothing sensational, vulgar, or vengeful. It was the right decision. From initial consultation to settlement, John and his staff were professional, conscientious, detailed, open, caring, patient, and honest in regards to my case. Not just with me but with all the individuals and entities involved. I was treated as a person who, having been grievously injured as a result of serious negligence, rightfully deserved to be made whole. Together, John’s and my goals were twofold: 1) to ensure processes and procedures were changed to prevent such negligence in the future and 2) to recoup my lost wages, used sick leave, damaged equipment, and medical bills. John and staff conducted extensive research in the gathering of pertinent information and the building of a succinct case; no stone was left unturned. I was never led astray with ridiculous thoughts of getting rich or getting back. The sole intent of John and his staff was to right the wrong and they did so in a respectful and professional manner. I am so thankful to John and his staff and am providing this review as a way of showing my gratitude. I would strongly, and without a doubt, recommend their services to anyone who found themselves in the (undesirable) position of needing a personal injury attorney.

On December 4th 2013 I was hit while riding my motorcycle to work. The other driver was at fault and I was hospitalized for 2 weeks with severe injuries to my leg. I was struggling with bills and out of work for 5 months. Another lawyer took my case immediately and informed me she would take care of all the paperwork and seek restitution for my injuries and lost wages. However I was frustrated with the lack of attention to my case and the ineptitude of the firm. The case dragged on for 14 months with little to no communication from her or her unprofessional staff. At the recommendation of a friend I contacted John. He got more done with my case in the 45 minute initial phone conversation than my attorney had in over a year. I was very excited to work with him and his knowledgeable staff. His assistant Gloria was extremely helpful and kind. She kept me informed and answered all my questions. When I met with John he was friendly and easy to talk to. He was very compassionate and empathetic to my ordeal. He worked with me through the process and was able to get me the FULL PAYOUT from the insurance company. From the first meeting to the date he handed me my check- the entire process took exactly one month. After nearly a year and a half of dealing with receipts and paperwork and documentation I was finally able to move on and close this traumatic chapter in my life. I cannot thank John Mccabe enough for his persistence, understanding and consideration. I am so grateful he was recommended to me.

WOW is all I can say!!! If you are ever in need of an attorney that is professional, brilliant and truly cares about you and your case, you only need to call John McCabe! John was recommended by a friend who happens to also be an attorney. When I asked my friend for a personal injury attorney reference, he advised that if he needed an attorney for personal injury, the only person he would call would be John McCabe! I thought that was high praise coming from another attorney, so I called John. I don’ think anyone could have represented us better or left our family feeling more satisfied with the final outcome! My son was involved in an automobile accident and received very serious head injuries that will have lifelong effects he will have to deal with. The defendant’s insurance company took a very hardline stance regarding payment. John was masterful in working through all of the issues we were presented with. He was always upbeat, caring and kept everyone confident and calm through a very stressful time. In the end, he was able to obtain a very favorable and satisfactory settlement that will help my son through life. A Five Star rating does not do him credit. He is absolutely the best in my opinion!

A year ago, I was in a frightening and serious car accident. A good friend highly recommended Mr. McCabe, encouraging me to seek legal advice due to the circumstances and nature of the accident. I have to admit that I was hesitant because of my own preconceived ideas of post-accident legal advice having been negatively influenced by TV ads. At the first meeting, Mr. McCabe put me at ease. The injuries that resulted from the accident required a long period of recovery, treatment and therapy. Being a blue-collar worker and never dealt with a attorney before I had already had a negative attitude about attorneys. Mr. McCabe quickly changed my attitude. He answered all my questions, and I did have a lot of questions, in simple layman terms. Mr. McCabe was very upfront. He quickly responded to all of my messages which is very important to me. Because I am impatient when I am waiting for answers to questions that I feel are important to me. He was professional but also had a friendly personality that made me feel comfortable. Contacted Mr. McCabe in regard to a case of neglect. Met with him and his assistant to go over the case. Provided him everything he requested to get the case started. I had to contact them each time for any communication. Mainly had to send 2 emails to get 1 back from assistant. A couple of months went by and he had not even done hardly anything with case. I was told he had large case he was handling a few times so I got bumped down the line. After feeling like my "little" case was not of importance, I took my business else where. Wont recommend any cases to them.
