For most homeowners, replacing the air conditioning / heating system is not something accomplished without some informed decision-making and some economic stress. New systems are more expensive and when you purchase timing is important. Do you wait for the old system to fail first, evaluate the repair cost, and then decide to repair or replace? Do you replace only that part of the system that failed? Or, do you take a more pro-active approach and replace ahead of a major failure? In our case, our system (air conditioning / heating) was purchased and installed by San Antonio Air Conditioning some 16 years ago. At that time a significant rebate allowed us to upgrade to a more efficient system and advance into the Puron era. The old system was regularly maintained over the years by the same company. And during one of these recent maintenance visits, Adrian, the service technician, pointed out that more coolant was leaking in the coil itself and in the outside unit. We knew from earlier maintenance / tune up visits this was occurring. Over the years we experienced some repairs but the system proved itself to be very reliable. Of course, south Texas weather does not get any cooler starting in June so Adrian arranged for their residential representative, John, to visit and discuss our options. In the end we decided to replace now, not later, based on systems available and rebate options. On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, two trucks and three technicians arrived at our home. By mid-afternoon, our new, more efficient, and quieter system was installed and ready to go with the professional and technical assistance of Ray, James, and David. We were also were connected between the computer and thermostat. and registered with Lennox. Not only did they dismantle our old system and clear it away, they also sealed up duct-vent connections in the attic. Looking back on our customer experience, we found it rewarding, informative, and very customer oriented. It was also very team oriented, starting with Adrian, continuing to John, then onto to Ray, James, and David. Mary assisted in setting up the alerts and then called from the office to arrange John’s visit after the installation. His visit only enhanced the experience. It is also an experience that will continue with planned maintenance and tune ups, as we had done previously with San Antonio Air Conditioning. So when Darlene or Mary calls from the office, we know we are due. The experience continues as we enjoy reduced energy costs, less repairs, and a sustained environment in the house as summers pass, winters linger, and seasons come and go. And, we rest assured, that if anything is not working properly or if we have questions, all we have do is call and it will be taken care of professionally and promptly. We continue to learn about the advanced technology of our new solar ready system as it becomes an integral part of the household. And, since the installation, we are quite pleased to report that both rebates, one from Lennox and the other from CPS have been received and applied. We will be having our first check up of the new system soon now that cooler weather is finally approaching. Thanks and appreciation to all for your valued and continuing support and assistance. Had a complete new air/heat plus two damper zone system installed in my home by San Antonio Air. My experience with San Antonio Air stated with the sales consultant "Mike Y." Mike was able to examine my current system, then make replacement recommendations to me. There was no hard sales push. Mike explained, in understandable terms, which system options were available, and all details concerning each systems performance specifications. Once I selected the system I desired, Mike provided me with a complete cost for my installation, not an estimate, but the final complete price, regardless of what if any additional unexpected work may need to be completed. During the installation, there were some additional work issues that needed to be completed, but as Mike had advised me, there was no change to the final bill. Final bill was exactly as stated in my contract (no hidden fees what so ever). Also the technicians that came to my house were fantastic. David, Larry, & Carlos were very knowledgeable and professional. First thing they did after introducing themselves to me, was to lay drop cloths from the front door all the way upstairs and to my attic, to keep the house as clean as possible during the installation. Work was completed efficiently and properly. All completed work was explained by the technicians, and they physically reviewed each major component of my new ac/heat/zone system with me. Additional clean up work was performed after work was completed, and they left the house clean. Great job David, Larry, & Carlos. Finally, the sales representative Mike did not just sell me a system and disappear. Mike was at my house several times during the two day installation, to ensure all work was being performed as promised, and to make sure I was completely satisfied. Thanks again Mike for all your assistance. I would highly recommend San Antonio Air to other individuals looking to have a older system replaced or an existing system repaired.
As a Military Veteran, I expect performance at the highest level. I did an extensive amount of research on reprable A/C companies who have the best price for the services they offer in a asap basis that benefits me. After talking to many other known companies and using process of elimination, I finally came across Service Experts. Called, spoke to Mary who was very welcoming, nice and squared me away with Adrian the technician that showed up at my door within 3 hours. No other company could come close to providing service as soon and for what Service Experts offered. Adrian is professional, extremely educated and skilled in his profession. He found the capacitor to be the issue easily under 5 minutes. He was thorough, very informative, explained everything, gave me recommendations, options. Asked what I would like to do without using forceful sales tactics. Not my first rodeo. I felt like i had known him for much longer then I actually have. So I made my decision, ended up recieving more bang for my buck. He fixed the problem, performed maintenance and along the way talked me through it and educating me on my system. Showed me DIY maintenance, troubleshooting which was extremely helpful. Also may come in handy. I will see Adrian in 6 months or so for a check up/maintenance visit. First, our A/C went out at 8:30 pm. We have a service plan with SA A/C so called them right away. Although the night tech did not contact us, when we called at 8 am Nicole got someone on it right away and the repair (although temporary) was completed by Carlos before 11 am. When we asked to speak to a sales person about a replacement system, Enrique was at our home within an hour. We knew generally what we needed and he provided thorough data for us to decide on the system we wanted. The financing application was painless and speedy and allowed us to go with a two-stage 18 seer system: a great upgrade of our 15-year old system. Today the installation team (David, Juan, and Hector) worked diligently for somewhat more than eight hours to get the old system out and the new one in. All three of them were professional, polite, and hard-working. Our new system had the environment in our home stabilized (and Cool!) within an hour, and we just know we are saving money every minute it runs. Thank you!
Carlos was the technician that came by today for my annual air condition maintenance. He was on time, courteous and explained everything to me as he worked. The work was completed timely. Excellent service was provided today!!!!This company has always been top notch-- from the office staff that answer the phone to the technicians that come out to service the unit. Update -- Carlos came out this week on 4/10/17 to make a repair. Again, I received excellent service. He was able to work around my work schedule and was timely making the repair. I had a problem with my system late Saturday night and received a call right away from Carlos. He came out early Sunday to check out the system and had to order the part. The part was under warranty . Returned on Monday and completed the work. Appreciate everything that was done!!! Great company !!!!
Wow! Highly recommend this company. When our 25 year old AC unit bit the dust, their service tech confirmed we needed a replacement unit. After the service tech gave us his evaluation we met with sales rep. Mike Y. who took lots of time to explain many options and recommendations. He visited with us a long time (after normal working hours) and answered all our questions. The prices were very reasonable and we felt very confident in our decision. After making our decision, they initiated financing and scheduled the install all within a 24 hour period. Super fast, super easy and we are super happy. The install crew was awesome! After our a/c gave up after 30 some years and we tried fixing it again but it was not feasible. It was costing too much money and repairs so we opted to get a new one. We talked with other a/c companies but decided on San Antonio Air we talked with Mike Yetman Residential Advisor and discussed different a/c and prices. Mike walked us thru the process and checked out our home and then we decided on our best option. We are very pleased with the work done by the two workers Larry and his companion, professional and a great job. We had duct work done too and the house feels cool and comfortable and now we feel the air in all the rooms. Mike is a friendly guy and he will get you set up and answer all your questions and check to make sure the work is done and done right. Thank you San Antonio Air!
September 12, 2013 Thank You does not even scratch the surface when it comes to what San Antonio Air Conditioning Service Experts did for me today… WOW - AMAZING!!! I called and within an hour had a service technician knocking at my door. It is so refreshing to encounter a company with someone who is technically competent, personable and professional, thank you Lenny! Lenny was very helpful in describing to me how the system works, what I need to do to maintain it, how to get the most form the system and rectify a potentially serious problem. In this day and age it is very refreshing to encounter someone who would go above and beyond for customer service and his work, work ethic and genuine interest in satisfying customer service needs are definitely an asset and credit to your company…
My wife and I have only lived in the area for a little over a year and were in desperate need of assistance. Our HVAC system was on the fritz...again. As it was the original to our 20-year-old home, we knew inevitably we would need to have it replaced. My wife found San Antonio Air online and was blown away by the good reviews. She called the office and on the same day, Edgar and Mike came to our house and promptly diagnosed the problem. They took time and care explaining all of our options. Both men were very knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. They were extremely kind and courteous and went above and beyond to help us make the best decision for US. In triple digit heat, the A/C went out in the middle of the day. My father in law who is on Hospice was in the home and I need help fast. I called several companies and Mischleane @ San Antonio Air was on it and was able to get me a technician; with in the hour Roland was on his way. When I met Roland I can not express his professionalism and quick thinking in a critical situation. Once assessing my problem he had called the parts company and they were not responding to his calls. Instead of sitting and waiting he went there to pick it up before they closed. We have been using San Antonio A/C Service Experts for years and have never encountered a problem. They are always timely and professional. This time was no exception. Joe came out Monday and did a great job of discovering the problems with the system. It was getting age and time to replace. He took pictures and showed me all of the trouble parts and the cost of replacement. . It was the first time Joe had been here and I was very impressed. I decided on a new system , William and David came out this morning and did a wonderful job. The new unit is in and they explained all the new features. This company will continue to get my business, they have excellent, well trained and professional employees.
