I am currently stuck in this firm and trying to get out. I have been waiting for an appeal hearing over a year and the last time I checked with the disability office they had not sent in ANY of my medical records ALL of which I had to obtain and send to them. Everytime I try to call I am put on hold for hours at a time, before I finally get through. I filed myself and I am regreting ever talking with this firm. I am really beginning to get nervous. I have doctors backing me up and when they sent this firm the paperwork they did not even forward to SS. I have a new doctor now with new diagnosis and they have yet to even send in a request to him to retrieve records. I am not in the process of FIRING them and hiring a new firm. I have been a paralegal for nearly 30 years in other areas of law and even with my experience I was smooth talked by these folks and now nearly 3 years later and nothing has happened and I have lost my home and nearly everything!

I have never worked with a law firm that has multiple people handling one client. Working with this firm, I feel like I am on an assembly line, and when I come to one station, they do what they need to do, write it in my file via the computer, then I go to the next station. This in my opinion is a very poor way to handle cases. I worked in law firms for over 15 years prior to my disability and I worked on one case from the start to the finish. Did other employees know the status on my file, YES, we documented everything in the computer, and we had weekly group meetings. Next time I need an attorney, I will not be using this firm.

This past December I was awarded back pay and started receiving my benefit checks.... at first I was hesitant but they assured me I had a good case and I am very pleased with the outcome.....it did not take long at all with very little effort on my part. After reading some of the negative responses it seems these clients are lashing out because they did not qualify for the benefit.... in all fairness not everyone who assumes they are actually do, otherwise it would work in your favor.. very simple.

this firm hacked into my social security account - changed my password and home address TO THEIR ADDRESS. ALL MY SS NOTICES INCLUDING THE NEW 1099 HAS BEEN SENT TO THEM. THEY FILED SOMETHING WITH SS WITHOUT ME KNOWING IT AND TOOK $2000 FROM SS CHECK THIS MONTH!!!!! I FILED THE IDENTITY THEFT AND APPEAL WITH SS IMMEDIATELY - 30 TO 60 DAYS.... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE OFF OF!!!!! Calling our Maryland State Police to see if i can report this fraud.

do not use this firm unless you want to be strung along.They do nothing with info given to them.I called and was told not to call anymore "we will call you in two years"!!! I have a broken neck with spinal cord injurys,with an extensive list of problems.As soon as I find someone else to take my case I will be firing these clowns.As someone who is actively fighting our broken system,DO NOT HIRE ANY LAW FIRM WITHOUT RESEARCHING THEM FIRST!!!

Heard and Smith suck! Heard and Smith suck they dragged my case on for over a year trying to rack up commissions and dropped my case two months before my SSI administration hearing date. Fortunately I received representation by my local social services building won my case and am waiting for my benefits.

Don’t waste your time! This law firm will DROP YOU IN A HEARTBEAT Right before a hearing too! They NEVER return calls. Very RUDE. They will string you along for months or even a year and DROP you in a heart beat right before a court hearing!
