Unscrupulous group of financiers who are completely incompetent and dishonest. They cannot get their billing right and they do too stupid a job of negotiating with providers on payments. I used to work in health care finance and know for a fact that many of these bills are grossly inflated and have screamed at BCBS about working with me in lowering them and they are too incompetent and stupid to do so. In fact, I am quite sure that they do not even have the staff negotiate effectively on behalf of their members. Also, the premiums are too high. I estimated that my annual medical expenses are much less than all of the insurance that I pay out and so will be going to an HSA with catastrophic coverage soon. I do not have the budget for this nonsense nor the time and energy to deal with their bull. Interestingly they made blatant attempts to kick me off my insurance despite the fact that I have honored all my payments and am a healthy 27-year old male with no medical problems. I do not know their logic behind their reasoning, but it seems that they obtained some information that I did not voluntarily provide that might undermine my ability to pay, despite the fact that I have done so accordingly. I have tried to be reasonable with them, despite being very rightfully upset about this matter ,and ask why and they would not tell me. So, in conclusion be very careful what you provide any insurance company but more importantly what you provide anyone because with all the sophisticated algorithms out there, they are most likely able to obtain a sundry of information about you that you do not even know is out there. Also, these bastard are cheap and assigned me a PCP who has questionable qualifications, experience, and did not even do my physical properly. I have already considered talking with an attorney about this matter and might go ahead and do so, if I deem it worth my time. I have heard all sorts of treacherous things about BCBS from family members and others who had them and so was skeptical when I signed on and now, after dealing with these idiots for over 6 months, I can tell you that they are true.

It is a serious company that to capture customers lie in all the information they give a customer, then they are sorry for what has been said by them. I personally inform me of the insurance they offer and offered me everything I needed them but at the moment of asking for their support they are made backwards saying that they do not cover it.

I see nothing but negatives in the reviews, yet in every dealing I have had with them over the past 10 years, it has been absolutely amazing how efficient, and well informed they have been. Any time I have needed surgery or anything, I simply call in and make sure all the doctors, anesthesiologists, or whatever participate, and there has never been a single issue. Maybe I am just lucky, but I doubt it considering my track record with previous insurance companies.

It took 4-months for BXBSTX to say they received my claim, after my provider submitted it 5-times. BXBSTX then denied the claim because the provider did not submit it to the Blue Cross of Wyoming, where the procedure happened, even though they told me before each of the 5x claim submissions that the claim needed to go to Texas. Every time you call them, they will tell you something different. Absolutely the worst.

Trying to get a prescription filled and BCBS says I have no coverage which is not the case as I can login to their website and see my plan and coverage start date plain as day. Now I am on fourth phone number and sitting here on hold. IF I do ever get someone on the phone I really doubt they will have a clue. I liked my insurance I had 7 1/2 years ago thank you very much. Update...I was just transferred! LOL

Been on the phone as a provider for about an hour to help a patient out by getting her the medicine she needs. Talked with two ladies that could not help only gave me other numbers to call to possibly get the help I needed for the poor patient in need...... tried not to rate the company but could not post without at least giving them one star. Pathetic forced to give them what they do not deserve.

Using the number on the card, I cannot get through to ask or tell anything. All of the supposed PCPs that I call for an appointment are not accepting new clients, even though it is stated on the website that they are. This is nuts! They assign doctors, as PCPs on the member card, that have bad online reviews. Try to change to a better doctor and no one is available to take a new client.

Absolutely the WORST major medical insurance coverage. Ridiculously high premiums, deductibles and out of pocket expenses. Deny EVERY single claim initially and then fight to get anything covered. Impossible to find a decent doctor that accepts BCBS. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! And before you say "well find another insurance", we have TRIED.....without success - they are all terrible.

Simply awful! I liked my Kaiser HMO better. List of providers is outdated as many no longer accept Blue Cross (I see why). Contact information is also inaccurate so I spent hours Googling and calling doctors to try and find their office location, contact information. Once I finally found a doctor I like, I got a letter from BCBS saying this provider is no longer in network.

Terrible automated phone systems. Forces ypu through an automated system that transfers you to the incorrect place. Tried to get pharmacy information through them, and they transfer you to a pharmacy insurance from years ago. Then you need to call back, go through the whole thing again and wait over an hour to reach a representative.

I just learned that BCBCTX does not except any credit card payment form. So, I got a 70% increase and I can not even pay with a cc to get points back. Its my highest bill I pay each month. When I called I was told its a BCBCTX thing. They have you coming and going! WORST PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON EARTH!One star is too much

They are terrible. Worst coverage ever. They have denied so many charges that are supposed to be covered under the affordable health care act for reasons that are totally ridiculous, ie....labs tests for daughters checkup were not coded correctly. The consumer is paying for the insurance companies disdain for Obama care.

I am super disappointing- we pay a lot of medical insurance $500 + a month- my son happen to get the Flu twice this season, the doctor prescribed him TamiFlu but since he had it before- he had to pay the full price of the medicine. They told him that his allow to get TamiFlu once a year only:(

I have a skin disorder. I got my referral to go see the specialist from my PCP but there is no specialist, dermatologist that will see me in my area. Not even up to two hours away. What do I do? How can there not be a dermatologist that will see me?

Worst EXPERIENCE EVER! My son sent his application and MONEY on time. His agent, failed to submit it on time. They will not honor his application. He has been in contact with his agent via email. Today, March 21, 2017, he was told he was declined.

Our company plan includes massages, but when you call BCBS they say it can be done only through a physical therapist. Good luck in finding one who offers massages. This insurer is a scam. Paying a lot of money extra for not getting anything.
