Awful... do not do business with these people. Customer service is terrible and never have up to date information. Please save your time and frustration and use a bank that is reputable. I took out an auto loan from SSCU because they beat my local credit union which I love (UFCU) by 0.01%. After getting the loan I was unable to make my first payment on the due date because they had the wrong loan information on file and wanted an additional $50.00. I was told that the information was incorrect and that I had to get the dealership to update the information. As far as they were concerned i owed the additional 50 and it was up to me to get the information straightened out. I ended up having to go to the dealership and hand them a check to make the first payment without penalty. We are now trying to make the second payment and are unable to do so through the automated system because again the system is not yet updated. I was told I would have to pay the phone teller fee to get the payment done. My only option to avoid any fees would be to drive 1.5hrs and go to a banking location in San Antonio. I feel this is not an issue of a single mistake but a very poor banking system that uses these excuses to charge a premium on any and all transactions. Please by all means spend the extra 0.01% and save yourself all the fees, aggravation and hold time. I will be doing whatever I can to switch my loan to a local bank or credit union.

They put you on hold for 5 to 10 minutes and longer, it is a pile crap, going to close the accounts and go to a service that will not put you on hold for forever. Give it one star because I had too, I would not give it any stars for except negative stars. Going on ten minutes this time what crap. Just hung up, will go it and close out accounts.

would not brag about your phone service. also when I received a call back the person could not read the security names or items very well so I failed. I came home to get my account number so I could get the help I needed. hung up will call back in the morning.

This is the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. It takes forever to get a real person on the line and then they are rude and inefficient. I would not recommend SSFCU to anyone under any circumstances.
