I first met Mike and his wife, Sandi, through a recommendation from a mutual friend. The first time I sat down with Mike, I was very nervous about buying my first house. Right from the start, Mike was extremely kind, honest, and patient. He always had answers to my questions. His demeanor did a lot to change my attitude from nervous to excited. Throughout the loan application process, Mike was always available for questions. I always got a response from him within hours of contacting him, not days. I always felt he valued me as a person, not as a client, and was trying to protect my best interests. He was very organized and efficient, specifying the exact information I needed to provide every step of the way. I really came to completely trust his advice, and my trust was never misplaced. If you need a mortgage, I would highly recommend talking to Mike. He was truly a blessing to work with for me. All of my friends who bought houses recently talked about the difficulty they had with their loan, but I never felt my application process was that difficult. To no small degree, that was because of Mike.

April 2014 we started shopping for our very first house.We were so excited once we found our dream home!We began to look for a mortgage.Being first time home buyers we were pretty green to the whole process. My husband and I were in search for a new home. After looking for over a year, we finally found our dream home. While searching to finance this new home we found Mike Durr who helped us with our financing needs. Mike was able to put us in contact with the right people to help us raise our credit scores. With that he was able to find us the lowest interest rate available for our new mortgage. Unlike working with a bank or mortgage company who would hand you an application and say, "fill this out", Mike actually cared about us getting into our new home. He personally gave us updates about the loan processing to help keep us informed and less weary. Mike is like a friend to us now. He is readily available to us when we have questions or need advice. I found Mike through an internet search while trying to find a mortgage for a home purchase. I was new to the Houston area and did not know anyone who could help me. He was not the first person / company I had contacted but he was the one that I eventually chose to use. Why did I go with Mike while pursuing a mortgage? The first thing that Mike did that helped me out was pick up the phone when I called. He answered my questions and we discussed my options. He continued to always be available for my calls. You may find that is not the case with other companies as I did. From day one Mike Durr was great. I referred to Mike Durr by a friend that had a great experience as well. This was my first home buying experience and I was nervous not only about all the paperwork, but also I lived in a different city. We needed to meet a quick deadline due to sellers demands. Mike Durr did not disappoint and exceeded my expectation. He and his colleagues were very quick to respond to all questions and reply back once documents were received. We actually could have closed 4 days early. He continued to follow up with me up to the day of closing and called a couple times after to make sure everything was okay and I was happy. Even though I have never met Mike Durr in person. I sure felt like I had made a new friend. When needing financing for a home be sure to use Mike Durr. You will not be let down. Mike did an amazing job for our family from beginning to end. He was great to work with in every way possible. Mike was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and got us the best interest rate on the market. Mike was very responsive whenever we had any questions, and even called us every week just to check in and give us a status update on our file. He also physically sat at the closing table with us just to make sure everything went smoothly. My wife and I have bought and sold multiple properties, and have never had a lender do either of those things. We absolutely plan to work with Mike again in future mortgage transactions, and highly recommend that anyone who is in the market for a new loan or refi begin and end their search with Mike.

This was my first home purchase and I was skeptical about it since I actually did not met Mike face to face until the day of closing. Great experience for a home buyer, Mike is a very honest and straight forward professional. Which is what you want, need, when it comes to the financial aspect of home buying. He will give you honest and admittedly conservative figuress but also provides more aggressive estimates as you close in on a property ,which will be based on all information that can be provided for the home. He goes out of his professional responsibility to help you make the best possible decision for your situation. He and his team are extremely responsive and very easy to get ahold of.
