it was awful! I had my distributor replaced only after they tried to force me to pay $99.00 to tell me what was wrong with my car. I had been promised a "free check" from the customer service rep who arranged my tow. Then as soon as I left the lot, I started having electrical problems. I called them back and was told to bring my car back for them to look at it. Well, Mr.Lewis came back and started to speak to me as if I was stupid! trying to tell me it was my high performace wires causing the trouble! How could that be, I had those before I got the distrubutor changed. He was very rude and condescending to me as a woman. I finally left upset and dissatisfied. Got to my next stop and my car wouldnt crank at ALL! Finally determined that it was caused by the battery cables not being tightened after the distributor replacement! Mr. Lewis would have seen this had the done a cursory look at my situation! They had no interest in trying to figure it out at all! And they treated me very badly, telling me " I was a problem " fromt he beginning! Woman do not take your car there! They treat woman very badly.

I recently took my 2006 F150 in to AAA after breaking down on the bridge on the way out of Charleston. AAA Carolina was able to get a tow truck there within the hour, offered me a ride, and were able to fit me in that day to look at my truck. Customer Service at the center was absolutely unbelievable and they provided constant updates and assistance throughout the process. While my truck needed tons of work they were able to quickly assess the damages and with my approval began the work. In just under 48 hours they were able to get my truck up and running and even offered me a ride to their shop. This is by far the best auto repair shop I have had the pleasure of doing business with and that is with over 4 other trips to different shops regarding the same truck. Without a doubt anytime my truck or friends car needs repair or assistance I will be referring them to AAA mount pleasant for the best customer service and auto repair.

Recently AAA Mt Pleasant gave my wife an estimate of over $900 to change spark plugs and an ignition coil on her 2004 Lexus. Strangely, when I looked under the hood there was no evidence that the engine cover had been removed to see the ignition wires. Took it to a reputable repair shop in Mt Pleasant and they quoted me a price of $380 to change the plugs. When they removed the engine cover they discovered that the plugs had been recently changed and that there were no cracked ignition coils. Total charge $31.80. A few months earlier my wife came home from having AAA service her car and she said they also had changed the cabin and engine air filters because they were extremely dirty. Interestingly again, I had personally replaced those two air filters less than a month earlier. I believe AAA was taking advantage of my wife in both cases and I believe them to be a rip off place to stay away from.

I was recently travelling through SC for work and my car broke down on the side of the road outside of Mt. Pleasant. There was nothing around and I know NOTHING about cars and was really scared being alone and very upset. I let my AAA membership run out months ago but saw on Google that the AAA center was the closest car care center to me, so I called. Jennifer Crank, a service consultant, answered and was so kind! She really calmed me down and made me feel so much better. When I finally got to the car care center, she was so helpful and understanding. The problem ended up being such a quick fix that they fixed it at no charge! Jennifer gave me a big hug before I left. I was so touched by the service I received here. I re-instated my membership and will NEVER let it run out again.

I took my car to aaa in mt pleasent for an oil change. They were extremly busy, and i was told that an oil change may be an extended wait. Amy offered to get me a ride to and from my house so that I would not have to wait at the shop. I accepted and my car was taken care of in the amount of time quoted. I was picked up promptly by Deb the driver. Upon arrival back at the shop they fully went over what my car needed to be kept up to date. I did not know before hand that these services were needed. I feel like i was well taken care of and also i learned a little bit about my cars needs. Amy was very helpfull in explaining the tlc pkg to me. I will definatly be retuning to this shop for further oil changes and repairs.

While visiting From Maryland, our ten year old Lexus developed a strange rattle like noise in the left front at highway speeds. Ms. Jennifer Crank was extremely pleasant in addition to being very helpful. She had the front end checked out.There was no problem found and the noise seemed to have abated. A few days later I returned along with the rattle. Once again I could not have been better served or more pleasantly treated. Ms. Crank had the car test driven and the service mechanic diagnosed and solved my problem. Fast, efficient and extremely friendly. Cheers to the entire staff and especially to Jennifer Crank.

Just got my car back from AAA. I was blown away by the service Daniel and Amanda provided.. Although my car, a Mazda Miata, was difficult to find parts for, Daniel kept in touch and even provided a rental car when we found out the repairs were going to take longer than we originally planned. I can only say that I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I knew how it was going and when it would be done because Daniel made a point of letting me know. And my car now blows cold air! the oil leaks are fixed and I am prepared for my visit back to Wisconsin. Thank you Daniel, and Amanda.

I had broken down on the interstate and AAA emergency services came and towed my vehicle to AAA Car Care in Mount Pleasant. Upon arrival at the car care center, I met Deron, the service consultant and Ray, the service manager. They assured me that because I was a stranded traveller, they would make my vehicle a priority. They shuttled me to a hotel and came and got me the next morning. They discovered that my water pump had went out on the vehicle and had repaired it quickly. I was back on the road in 24 hours. The pricing was fair and the customer service was incredible. Thank you AAA.

We arrived at the MP AAA last Saturday afternoon with a Honda Odyssey that had an overheated radiator. My husband spoke to Dove and immediately knew he was very knowledgeable. We left our van and by that following Monday it had a new radiator installed. We are totally satisfied with the excellent service we received. On a side note, we have been members of AAA since 1997 and have been totally satisfied and pleased with the service we have received, especially the towing (over the years). Highly recommend!!

At first I was a little suprised, you dont expect a shop to look as nice as this one did. I had a A tech named Joey I think he said his last name was Nicholson, I have never had someone exceed all my expectations as he did. I have had my tahoe in multiple other shops for the same complaint. Joey spent 20 min tops with no diag charg and a smile on his face saying my vehicle is ready. its ben over 4000 miles and the problem has not shown its face again. Thank you Joe.

I have read the reviews and the commentaries sound like two different places are being reported on. Here is my experience and I am a woman. Always, as soon as I enter the place, I am acknowledged. The service up to now has been excellent and reasonable. The place is comfortable and clean. There is a place for everything and everything in its place. Bonus: the travel agency is right there and they are attentive and the service is excellent.

Outstanding, this was my second trip and second vehicle at this shop. At my first visit the replaced the front transaxles on my VW Passat for less than my former mechanic had been charging me for boot replacements on about once a year for 6 years. Second visit they fixed an oil leak problem that a mechanic in NY caused by overtightening the filter. Great servcie and great prices, espceially for AAA members.

I had my car towed by AAA. Spoke with the manager Ray. They let a guy claiming to be an insurance agent take it off the lot with no questions asked. They had no idea what happened to my car or who the guy was that took the car. It was moved literally across the parking lot to a body shop. Will never do buisness with people so unaccountable and aloof again.

Had to take my truck in to have the brakes looked at. Turned out I needed way more work than just pads and rotors. The work took longer than I expected so Stephanie said no problem and sen Laura to pick me up and take me to collect my dogs from the groomers and drop them off at home!!! REALLY? Who does this?! Very professional and upfront crew. I take all my vehicles there. Automobile maintenance is often a stressful experience since you are not sure if you are being ripped off. These guys are straight shooters. Rarity in the business. I just wish their waiting area was a little bigger (it looks a little run down).

I arrived for my appointment during a power outage and was willing to wait. They were back up in 25 minutes and communicated throughout. I had the rear brake pads and rotors replaced and an oil change and was out in less than 90 minutes. Amanda and Daniel are friendly and run the place well.
