Greene Solutions installed vapor barrier material over three basement crawl spaces, sprayed foam insulation along the foundation walls in the crawl spaces and sprayed the rim joists with insulation along the entire house perimeter. In the attic, the company properly vented two bathroom exhaust fans thru the roof and blew in additional insulation. Details: This past winter is my second one in my new home so I’ve been able to really identify issues. I knew that the family room on one side of my house was cold in the winter (brrr blanket & sweaters required) and whew hot in the summer (ceiling fan plus another fan). The other side of the house was tolerable; both areas were over crawl spaces. It was now time to do something. Nancy, a certified energy auditor conducted an energy audit in my home. Wow what an eye-opener! She set up a blower door test and I followed her around looking over her shoulder, asking question after question. She was very receptive and offered recommendations of what I could do myself to help conserve energy and save money. The blower door test revealed where air leakage was occurring and Nancy with a sensor measured each room. She climbed fearlessly into three crawl spaces and up into the attic discovering and identifying issues that I had no awareness of. She found the exhaust fans from two bathrooms were just free flowing into the attic space and took pictures of the developing mold from the warm moist air being pumped into the space. Nancy and I discussed possible solutions and timing. Together we contacted the owner of Greene Solutions and began working out a plan of action to resolve the problems. The Greene Solutions company crew, Duck, Tommy and team leader, Tyler worked at my home. Additional technicians Jason and Owen came on site to provide materials and additional labor. All the guys on the crew were professional, courteous and respectful. They welcomed questions from me and offered insight and information about what they were doing and why. The crew covered the crawl spaces with vapor barrier material, sprayed the rim joists with foam insulation along the house perimeter and sidewalls. In the attic two bathroom fans were just blowing into the attic space the moist air creating mold growth. The crew properly vented these fans through the roof. Additionally, they blew in 12 inches of additional attic insulation. At the conclusion of the work, Tyler conducted a second blower door test. I followed Tyler around during the blower test and saw for myself room by room the difference from the initial testing shown by the sensor. That post insulation test provided a quantifiable 30% reduction in air loss. And I no longer feel the need to bundle up the little ones to play with their toys in the family room! I would highly recommend this company.

Our energy bills were out of control so we had Greene Solutions come out and preform an Energy Audit. Rick Green preformed our audit. He was very through, professional, and took time to explain everything! After the audit he said down with us and provided us with some things we can work on to make our home more energy efficient. One of his suggestions was getting insulation in our home since were were well below the standard. Rick provided us with an estimate on the day of our audit and he was not pushy at all. Like most homeowners I called 2 other companies to compare the estimates and Greene Solutions was the best price- over $2,000 less than the first estimate and more than $1,800 less than the second estimate we got. The day before the appointment I received a reminder call. The day of the installation the team arrived on time, very professional and explained each step of the process. As the install progressed they let me check the progress to get my approval before they moved to the next area. At the end of the day Thomas Greene assisted me with the rebate offer from AEP - which I signed over to them and in return they gave me the $200 dollar discount up front off of my total! The entire process was seamless from beginning to end. I highly recommend Green Solutions LLC to anyone looking for an energy audit and/ or insulation installation! I actually work directly with Greene Solutions doing energy audits and sales. Aeroseal is a relatively new product, and I wanted to make sure it works the way it is supposed to. So I had aeroseal technology applied to my duct work which is flex duct in the attic. Since I work in the industry, I first measured the air coming out of each supply register before aeroseal and then after. After I added up all the registers, I calculated a 26% increase in air coming out of registers. Some of this are was escaping in the attic, and some of the air was escaping around the furnace cabinet (which is in the garage in my house, weird right). So the air is now captured inside the duct work and happily travels to the rooms it is intended to go. The installers did a great job in that they were very careful in removing each supply and return register, and placing them back when done while the other technician was in the garage monitoring the aeroseal blower equipment. All was cleaned up well with no sign up any mess or debris after they left. They also discovered a return duct that was completely disconnected from the return boot in one of the bedrooms which was a significant loss of heat during winter and gain of heat during summer. So this is one more important step in making my home more efficient and more comfortable, and a good feeling knowing I am not losing expensive heat or cooled air into the attic.

Last spring, we contacted Greene Solutions to conduct an energy audit on our 30-year-old, all electric home located nearly 2 hours from Columbus. The experience was eye opening. The team brought in many energy gadgets and paraphernalia to test, and then reveal, the numerous leakages within our home. In addition, they analyzed our AEP bills to detect patterns of usage. Although it was fascinating to watch the process, the best part of the experience was the educational component. We learned so much on how to save energy in an attempt to eradicate the "letters of shame" that we receive from our electricity provider. Throughout the process, the energy team was the epitome of professionalism. Because we were undergoing much construction, with visits from eight contractors before it was time for the foam insulation, Greene Solutions patiently and professionally waited for nearly four months for the treatment phase. They followed up appropriately, when needed. During the actual application phase, they kindly dealt with our quirks, preferences, and changes, spending more time than anticipated to assure customer satisfaction. Although it has been less than two months since the "treatment," we have experienced a notable reduction in our usage. My experience with Green Solution can only be described as wonderful. The entire staff, from the girl who picked up the phone when I called to schedule quote (Devon?), to the installing crew, was amazing. Thomas ( the owner) came to my house promptly on time to do a walk through and provide me with a quote and suggestions on what was best for us. He was incredibly personable, and right away I knew we wanted to work with them over other companies we had talked to (USA insulation especially). This company does not sub-out employees from other companies or temp agencies, so you will get someone hired and trained by them for your install. This is very important to me, especially since the work is being done inside my house. The crew arrived exactly on time and introduced themselves. After walking through the house with me to confirm the scope of work, they went to work and finished ahead of schedule. The also cleaned up very nicely and asked me several times if everything met my expectations before packing up. I would recommend this crew (Duck, Luke and T2) to friends and family without hesitation. I was so comfortable with them, we actually left the house to run errands for a few hours while they worked. I wish these guys did more than insulation, as we would hire them for everything if we could!

I live in a town home next to an elderly set of neighbors who are retired and do nothing but sit inside the house and smoke all day long. Unfortunately for me, their second-hand smoke filled unit spreads into my unit via the basement at the top of the adjoining wall where the floor joists run through and therefore is spread throughout my entire place. I have lived with this problem for several years thinking there was no way to fix the problem. One day out of desperation, I was searching on google and came across Greene Solutions and thought it was worth giving them a call. They agreed to come out and evaluate the situation and see what could be done. Greene Solutions was able to use their spray foam system to seal up the gaps in the floor joists which much to my surprise eliminated the problem completely! The procedure was non-invasive, much less expensive than I anticipated, and did not take very long to perform at all. The technicians were very friendly and also mindful about keeping the work area clean as they worked.When they left, it was as if they hadn’t even been there, except for my second-hand smoke problem was finally solved. Anyone having similar trouble I highly recommend having this procedure done and using Greene Solutions to do it.

I had first contacted Greene solutions back in September to get an estimate on insulating my attic. From their great website I knew my house was greatly lacking insulation up there. Tom came out and we did a walk around my house and he took a look at my attic. We agreed on getting the insulation done and they were out about a month later to get it done. When they came back out we did the blower door test on my house and while that went on we did a walk through all around my house to spot any additional problem areas. I was amazed when i found out how inefficient my house really was. They did a great job with the insulation kept the area very clean and made sure that I had an opportunity to check their work before they left. Overall in the last month i have noticed the much more comfort. Last winter my 2nd floor was always at least 5 degrees colder than the first floor, now it is the same if not a little warmer. But BEST OF ALL my furnace is not running nearly as much. After the work Greene Solutions did and the ideas Tom gave, looking at my first energy bill it looks like i used 10% less

We contacted Greene Solutions to help us with a very cold master bathroom. Temps dropped drastically in that room this winter, over 20 degrees colder than the rest of our house at times. Thomas came to our house and did a walkthrough identifying all of the problem areas, especially those affecting the temperature in the master bathroom. He provided a detailed quote broken down into all of the individual projects he recommended. He also recommended other projects we could complete ourselves to help our overall energy efficiency. We decided to go for the whole package which included closing off significant air leaks in that bathroom, adding to our inadequate attic insulation, foaming our crawlspace, replacing the vapor seal in our crawlspace, and a few other minor projects. He and his team were able to come out a few weeks later to complete the work. They were all very professional, friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and clean. They took pictures to show us their work as it was being completed. Most importantly our master bathroom is no longer the extra freezer it had become! Thank you Greene Team!

From beginning to end, Greene Solutions did an awesome job!  After I had a recent home energy audit conducted through Columbia Gas, I had four local companies out for an estimate.  Tom Greene was by far the most thorough and detailed of the four representatives that provided me with estimates.  He answered any and all questions that I had during and after the estimate. Duck, T2 (Thomas), Pearse, and J came to do the work and did a great job!  They communicated with me throughout the process and went about things very professionally.  They did quite a lot and was very efficient in getting their work done. --Added R60 insulation to the attic. --Installed all new baffles at the soffit vents. --Weatherized attic access to R38, weather stripped, and caulked. --Air sealed over the garage and pipes, gaps, and holes. --Replaced the fiberglass insulation in the basement rim joists and sprayed foam to seal up. My wife and I are considering additional work in the future at our house and will definitely use Greene Solutions again.
