When the cold weather hit, it became quite clear that we would be living in extra sweaters and socks all season long thanks to bad insulation throughout my home. The draft coming from my fireplace was especially brutal. I saw on the web site that The Basement Doctor also did home energy exams and not just basement waterproofing. My project manager Ryan Bolin came to my home and did a complete inspection that was free of charge. After that exam, he provided a detailed plan of products and services that would help with my problems. Not only was Ryan extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest and friendly, he was also very accommodating to my budget. He helped my husband and I prioritize the items that needed to be done and what would do us the most good. There was no pressure at all, just straightforward information and suggestions. When it came time to install the eShield attic insulation and spray foam, I was lucky to have Jesse Hall as my foreman. Jesse and his team were very efficient, knowledgeable and respectful of my home and personal items. I don’t think there was one piece of furniture or area of carpet that was left unprotected. The entire installation took less than a day and I can’t wait to see difference this will make in my home. I highly recommend the entire Basement Doctor team, and really appreciate the hard work that both Jesse and his crew, and Ryan put into my project.

Dan Noff and Crew performed a waterproofing and basement wall repair bringing the area up to and better than original condition very substantially. The three men were well trained, experienced and equipped to perform the service easily. They worked very hard steady and finished the job ahead of schedule. I was especially impressed with how very quietly they worked: I did not hear any voices and other than the brief noise of the jack hammer which seemed to be muted, one would not be aware of their presence. I THINK THIS IS EXTRADORDINARY AND WORTHY OF SPECIAL NOTE IN AN OTHERWISE NOISY WORLD WHERE EMPLOYEES SEEM TO BE TALKING ENDLESSLY AND NOT ABOUT WORK. When the job was completed they cleaned up as they withdrew including washing down my newly finished asphalt driveway. They were well mannered and helpful. They do their vocation and company very proud. I commend them and recommend The Basement Doctor to anyone or firm who might benefit from their products and services without hesitation.

My husband and I recently had our crawlspace encapsulated and spray foam insulation installed in the basement. The process went very smoothly from the first meeting with Nathan till the very end. Nathan made sure we understood the benefits and everything about the process and worked with us to make sure we were happy. We were told that our project might not be able to happen until December or January because of how busy the company is right now, but were called and moved in to a much earlier spot which was greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing the energy savings and are grateful that we were able to have our project completed before winter hit. My Name: Randy Michel Crew Foreman: Jesse Hall Jesse and his hardworking crew did a complete basement waterproofing job for me. They were polite, professional and very respectful while they performed the work. They put down protective carpet to keep the mess to a minimum, and cleaned up when they were done. The job was on an 1100 square foot house (basement) that was built in 1952. They ran into some really strong footers, but worked through it and just a few days later, the basement already feels dryer than ever. This crew is hard working and pleasant to be around. We have had the Basement Doctor work on another home and though it was a different crew, the experience was the same. We began searching contractors to come and give us a estimate on our basement repairs. Basement Doctor was one of them. Upon scheduling our estimate, they included a reference list and to my surprise there were many people I knew and also some that were good friends. I called quite a few of the people on the list and not one of them said a bad thing about the Basement Doctor. That impressed me so much I cancelled the other estimates and hired the Basement Doctor. The salesman Nathan presented the company well, and the work Foreman Rich Pomales and his crew did an exceptional job. Rich answered any questions I had and did a thorough job. Ron Greenbaum aka "The Basement Doctor" has provided substantial support to the Capital Area Humane Society over the past year, sponsoring our weekly appearances on NBC4 which helped us adopt out over 2,300 animals in 2011! Ron is an important member of the Capital Area Humane Society family and is always looking for ways to help homeless and abused animals in our community, through participation in our events, donations of food to help feed our shelter animals, and spreading the word to “adopt, don’t shop” for your next pet. The basement job was done perfectly and we had a lot of stuff that had to be done (beams put in, excavate a whole wall, etc.) After they were done they cleaned up more than just the space/area they worked on, they cleaned our whole basement for us and even fixed and checked up on things for us that were not even part of our contract. The situation was BAD! Water was gushing out of the sump pump discharge pipe outside and pooling around the basement wall. I called Basement Doctor and an appointment was set up for the next day. When Mike arrived, he quickly determined the problem and explained what needed to be done. The settling ground had pulled the receiving pipe away from the discharge pipe under the ground. He quickly repaired the situation. Mike was the perfect blend of professional and friendly, explanation and action. I am very grateful for the prompt response and perfect resolution.

The administrative and sales team did everything they could. There is no excuse for the shotty job and poor craftsmanship of the work force. For the money paid, there should have been an exceptional (or at least standard) job. Not only did the work team leave a mess, their overalll reconstruction of the foundation (for the purpose paid) was garbage. They were in and out. The GC addressed the issues after the fact, but even the remedial efforts were minimal
