Interest rates are the best around on loans! They are known for working with people when they are down on their luck. I had a friend who lost his job and he contacted them before missing a payment. Achieva worked with him to adjust the mortgage installments until he was back on his feet. That is customer service! I have been a customer for over a decade and my only complaint is the lack of convenient locations to make deposits. Great service most of the time (I had to escalate a few issues, but they were eventually resolved) and reasonable fees compared to banks. Overall, they are a 1st class outfit and I am never going back to a bank. Note on debit fees: when I found out about the 25¢ fee last year, I called and was told that if I get cash back, the fee is waived.

In July of 2010 Achieva started charging $.25 for each time you use your debit PIN number at any merchant. They have no way to contact management, and do not care if their customers (supposedly bank owners) are unhappy. After doing some research, no other banks have this charge. It is simply a way for them to make more money nickle and diming people. I was an account holder for over 10 years and fairly satisfied, even though it seemed Achieva kept adding new fees to everything. The $.25 was the final insult.

Online banking is a disaster, horrible experience. Format has changed to involve MULTIPLE page changes to eventually gather the information that was previously formated concisely on "1" page and easy to scroll through.
