I cannot tell you how much James has been a blessing. It goes beyond the financial straights he helped us to get out of, but also psychologically and emotionally. For years I had been battling my former wife. And through it I had suffered loss after loss, and one impossible demand after another. It was a nightmare. The court orders were so demanding that I could not keep up with any of my obligations (rent, child support, bills, debts, etc.) without generous outside help and stressful financial juggling. On top of that, I had two previous attorneys who only helped to make things worse and get me deeper into debt. Everything of value I had I sold. Anyone living in Florida knows that it is one of the toughest divorce states with a strong anti-father streak. I had given up. It seemed the system was against me. I was broke in pocket and in spirit. Then my wonderful wife found James. At this point I had little hope of change and a dim view of attorneys. Let me tell you: James changed all that! He will not talk to you with a high-and-mighty-professional-in-the-cloud-robotic tone. He will not keep you at a distance so he can drop you at an instant without thinking twice. He will not fleece you of thousands of dollars for worthless service. You are not just another client lost in the stack of paperwork on a desk. You are not a credit card number. He will tell you the truth and lay out everything plainly. I also lived out of state, so 99% of the time I worked with James on the phone. James’s staff is also great (Louise you are a darling!). What James has done for me and my family is beyond words. We found compassion and genuine concern from James and Louise. He treated me and my wife like family! It has been a few years after my divorce, but now I can say it actually feels like it. We are on the road to recovery now, and I can actually make a living, meet my obligations, and move forward. I hired Mr. Cunha to handle an extremely difficult and complicated child custody case. He had to take over from another attorney who excused herself due to the complexity of the issues involved.
