Well, January I was written and told to send in my documentation, I completed the application and submitter pay stubs for a month, my kids birth certificates etc. I did all of that. A few weeks later a customer service rep. call me to verify my address and other information and informed me that he received my documents and I qualify for Medicaid me and my 2 kids because of my income. March I called Access Health and was told that my medical cards are on the way. I already had medical cards for my kids so they send me a card under Husky. A few days later another agency called saying they needed citizenship information I gave her my green card information. A few weeks later got a letter saying I was no longer eligible and my medical will be terminated in 30 days which is March 31 because I wasnt a U.S. citizen. My kids are US citizen and I am a US resident. Every 2 days none stop I get correspondence saying they needed income verification and citizenship information for the pass 3 months. I was unemployed February-March. So did not have any pay stubs to send to them not withstanding i already send then the required information January 2015. Finally started doing a few hours as a home health aide a few hours a week. Today, I received a 15 page letter in the mail advising me to read it in its entirety. Letter took me a while to read and I realized that my kids age 7 born in USA no longer have health insurance and coverage will end on June 30, 2015. Reasons: (1) I failed to provide income verification (2) I failed to provide residency status for my kids. I am just wondering what happen to the paperwork that I submitted in January and was informed that they were received Did my documents some how grew legs and walked out of the office

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. IF THERE WAS AN OPTION OF GIVING NO STARS I WOULD DO THAT. FIRST WHEN YOU CALL, YOU TALK TO A MACHINE, (21ST CENTURY) FOR 30 MINUTES JUST TO GET YOU CONNECTED AND THEN AFTER THE PERSON WORKING THERE OR DOING GOD KNOWS WHAT TELLS YOU THAT THEY CANNOT HELP YOU. THAT IS CRAZY!!!!! THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS A COMPUTER ERROR AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. THEY EVEN TOLD ME THAT IT MIGHT BE THE COMPUTER IM USING. MY OWN COMPUTER!!! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF UNEDUCATED PEOPLE THAT GET YOU NO HELP AND CERTAINLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. NOW IM STUCK WITHOUT ANY INSURANCE FOR PAST 2 MONTHS. THANKS TO THEM OF COURSE AND THEIR GREAT SKILLS, THOSE PEOPLE CAN BARELY DO ANYTHING. THERE NEEDS TO BE A CHANGE THERE OR SOMETHING BECAUSE WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THAT PLACE NEEDS TO GET FIRED OR THEY ARE JUST A STRAIGHT UP UNEDUCATED PERSON.

I am a licensed insurance broker in CT and consumers should know that the people at Access Health are competent and do their best but customers should be aware that they can use the services of an independent insurance broker and get a plan for the same price as going direct to either Access Health or an insurance company directly. Why not use a broker who is licensed and trained in this field? Once you get a plan through a broker you will be able to speak with them regarding issues rather than calling an 800 number. Simply click on the "Get help" tab then scroll down and check "I need..." A licensed insurance broker to help me select a health care plan for me and/or my family. You can choose a broker by name or use your zip code if you want to meet with a broker nearby.

I honestly thought i was the only one going through this , my daughter insurance was cancelled apparently since March , i have been trying for about a month with no success, i am constantly being told there is a technical difficulty and when the problem is rectified i will be called. i have called them practically everyday. if an error occurs everything has to start all over again. i went to the insurance section of one of the clinics where access health is done thinking i would have any luck, same story technical problem and nothing can be done. she needed medical attention so she had to go to a clinic and get on the sliding scale to get medical attention. they are a joke.

Impossibly incompetent!! My wife and I were added and dropped no less than 3 times because every time you call in they open a new document trail, and do not move files from the old application numbers. Each time we were dropped it was due to a lack of documentation that THEY THEMSELVES ADMITTED THAT THEY HAD! Because of their failure my family was without healthcare at a critical time. I am very glad to have moved away from Connecticut. Any state that would allow one of their organizations to be run this poorly must certainly be fixing to fall in to the sea. If you value your sanity, look elsewhere, anywhere but here to get your coverage going.

The attention of the people by phone is to treat people as any things do not help and in order to change hadta the names of the parents should do a review and put people more educated and patient to meet xq hra are definitely a haughty people And with an unmistakable respect

I do not have health insurance right now nor prescriptions because the processing dept can not read a form correctly I have done everything they asked for & have been waiting since 4/3/17 for them to correct THEIR problem My ins is in a grace period with no benefits because of their delay in fixing this problem What a shame I am going to contact the health commissioner & report this Today I make another call to find out they are in short supply on help & it may take 1-2 weeks to complete In the mean time no Ins, no prescriptions

I keep getting reminders about how I need to sign up by a certain date. For the last week, I have been unable to sign up because their website is not functioning properly. I have tried different browsers on different days, I am allowing all scripts and cookies. It is unacceptable that the website can be broken for this long at this time of year. And yes, the call center is mind-numbing as well. This is an entity that can only be created when market incentives are removed from the equation. Extremely frustrating.

Appearently incompetence and lack of common sense is a requirement to be a represenitive for access health. After having proof of delivery for verification, they still said they did not receive me documents, so without notification to me they terminated my coverage without letting me know. And now after 4 days on the phone, dealing with clearly incompetent people no answers no resolution no anything, and I have no coverage. Why is this simple issue like rocket science? What a joke and and embarrassment.

I have been battling with access health for a month now about a mistake they made regarding my plan with my insurance provider resulting in me being charged more than double. They refuse to correct the problem and when I did manage to get a supervisor on the phone 2 weeks ago they said they problem was solved on their end only to find out today that my status has not changed in over a month. Incompetent customer service, lying supervisors, outrageous hold times, this whole organization is a disaster

First they gave me incorrect information, which caused more headaches than I have time to go into. Now I am getting billed for my wife, who I have told them several times over the last few months, is no longer covered. they are also billing me double what last years charges are. The last time I called re guarding the same issues, the person had to check with someone before she could answer anything. As with everything else the government gets their hands on, it is now completely screwed up!!!

Access Health CT There should be a negative star scale for Access Health. This organization initiates health coverage without written authorization and has a complaint process that is opaque and unaccountable. The staff are poorly trained. Now they demand that I pay for a month of coverage that I never requested and which was covered by my previous carrier. Dealing with Access Health CT is like crossing into an Alice In Wonderland world but unfortunately is not nearly as entertaining!!

I have had Healthy CT and paid on time every month. I was dropped from insurance for no reason. I learned that it was a computer error. Promised call back. Not called back. Called back a day later and got Chanta (supervisor) and she pushed the issue to "escalation". Promised to be resolved in 5 days. 7 days later now and no resolution. Call center feels totally detached from anyone that can make a decision or has any power. I am blown away by how useless this call center is.

After 6 months of still trying to get the insurance after sending federal tax to them 3 times with proof of mailings--- --no one can give me any reason as to why or what is wrong. Yet I get penalized for no insurance but no help or understanding of what is going on. I agree one star is too much. If other business conducted themselves in this fashion --they would be out of business. This place is to help get affordable health insurance---it does not work.

Total nightmare. I never thought so many incompetant people could be assembled in one organization. They make DMV look like super stars ... i went down in person thinking that would be better .... more incompetance. They were trying to sell me investment products ... "wouldnt like an annuity" ... NO ... u cant properly process my health insurance ... and i am going to give you my retirement money .... not a chance ...

I cannot find the words to describe how incompetent they are. I rather have 100 paper cuts on my actual eyeball and be force to clean the wound with rubbing alcohol than to go through the process of talking to any of their representatives. Access Health CT is a company with piss poor standards on every level. It surely is reflected through the type of incompetent employees they seem to hire. DO BETTER!

i have been trying to contact somebody in accesshealthct for the past 1 month to get a medical insurance but i am getting only the run around and waste hours of my time. NOBODY THERE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I even went to New Haven navigator help. They could not help me. Its really a shame that the gov. is saying lots of things but not helping people.

This must be the worst system ever. I have no idea on how to renew or what next years status is and the voice mail system is about as bad as it gets. Calling will get you nowhere. They also change your password every 90 days and lock you out after that. The amount of staffing to reset passwords must be ridiculous. Your government at work.

Not only do I promote the health insurance within our respective region.. As an ED for a small non-profit, I was able to get my staff enrolled for health coverage.... Understanding that the marketplace is a new system, allowed us to be patient. I am pleased to know that I now have better coverage than in the past.

Very horrible system and customer service very terrible! I have been dealing with them since the end of September and here it is almost December and they still have not resolved the 2nd part of my problem! I have to keep telling my problem every time I call. Never the same person you talk to.

Access Health is AWFUL!! I send in my re-enrollment and I get 2 letters one stating I am no longer enrolled because I did not send in paperwork and one that states they need income verification which was sent in with the paperwork. Then I go on the website and NONE of my information is current.

Every single time I try to log in my account is locked and I have to call to get it unlocked. What a PITA! Also have had to upload the same document every time three years in a row, even though I can still see the exact same document uploaded from the past three years sitting right there.

My review is for a recent phone call. I sat on the phone line on eternal hold for 15 minutes, got disconnected and called back immediately. They had closed and apparently anyone on hold just got disconnected. Bah. Sounds like they should hire more people to help around "open enrollment".

Everything was going fine with my insurance until their system had a "glitch" which terminated my insurance. I notified them of their error on May 30, 2014. As of today 07/17/14, nothing has been done. Terrible customer service. Terrible management. Terrible appeals department.
