I have been suffering the consequence from the bad job the plumber did 5 years ago. My water pipeline had a little leak not far away from the water tank. A guy from Greco & Haines came to my house to fix it. It took him two hours to solder the leak area with running upstairs and downstairs many times. Unfortunately in the 2nd evening, we learned that he did not fix the leak, in a hard way. After we came back from work, we found there was flooding in our basement. The area the guy fixed a day earlier leaked even faster. We called the company immediately and they sent another guy. It took the second plumber about 10 minutes to fix the leak. When I observed the 2nd plumber, I immediately realized why the first guy failed. He tried to solder with all faucets in the house open but the local high temperature generates high pressure steam. The pressure from the steam cannot release so fast from other faucets which are far away from the location he tried to fix. He cannot seal the crack and instead, he generated a lot of black particles from solders inside our water pipeline. Since then, we have to clean up every faucet once a while. For washing machine, sometime the water flow totally stop and I need to take the inlet line from the washing machine to clean. How bad the company trained their plumbers!!!

I have used Greco & Haines at different locations over the last 44 years-both at my homes in Shelton and also for rental property in Newtown (house), Harwinton (Harwinton Shopping Center), Old Lyme, Ct. (office building) and have always been very happy with them. I have NEVER had a call back. I trusted them enough to give them keys to the shopping center and the office building. Just a note- when I first bought the property in Harwinton I used a local supposedly water conditioning outfit. I got plenty of bills from them and plenty of tenant complaints. It turned out that they were charging me for services never done. Then I got Greco & Haines within six months and everything got straightened out. They had to repair some of the equipment and thereafter (for the next 15 years) I received no tenant complaints concerning the water. I really cannot say enough good things about Greco & Haines- With them in charge I do not have to worry about my water systems. When I had an emergency one weekend (a tank started leaking in the office building) I had a new tank by 8:00 p.m. Saturday night without overtime charges. Where else can you get this service without being robbed.

Both my wife and I would like to thank Greco and Haines for the job they did in evaluating and implementing our service request last month. As with the new water softener that they handled last year, they were extremely professional in all aspects – on time, quality of work, politeness, fair, and above all honest. We do not often give written praise, but when satisfaction is this high, we feel obligated to respond. Keep it up! We expect to be very loyal customers from here on out.

We needed to upgrade our well pump due to expanding the size of our home. Greco & Haines was our first choice, they arrived promptly with a marked vehicle and workers were in uniforms. All work was completed on time. I had a small issue with chlorine levels, notified the office and they immediately rectified the situation. We were very pleased with our service and quality of goods. We would use Greco & Haines again and we have also recommended them to others.

I have been using Greco & Haines for the past 25 years to service my well water system. When I call they come - with no after hour charges. The service technician are very polite and helpful. They charge a fair price and the fact that they have been in business for over 50 years says a lot. I would recommend them to everyone.

Greco and Haines converted my 110volt jet pump system to a 220volt submersible pump and installed a well casing extension and a new tank. The work was done promptly and professionally. The system has been flawless. The quoted price was competitive. We would not think of calling anyone else if the need should arise.

The worst well water company ever! The woman who answer the phone was really rude!!! They charged me $210 for doing nothing, and told me the problems was the exactly I told them before they diagnosed. They are not even deserved 1 star.
