I had funded one loan with citadel back couple of years ago! it was a true nightmare!!! between the A/E and File Manager and UW was just going around the circle and took forever and long and tedious process, frustration and endless conditions. I must admit though the borrower had many properties and one foreclosure! Nevertheless, after visiting with one of the managers, we got all the non-sense conditions straighten out and we funded. It was one of the hardest loan I did in 23 years. Just to warn you, its not easy doc. loan with Citadel. I have another loan now and thinking to send it to Citadel or not due the the unique program they have for my borrower. Worried about the same lengthy process and nonsense underwriting conditions. So I rather to shop for while.

This company is by far the worst lender I have ever worked with. They have a highly unusual process for starters as they require either the title commitment or the appraisal at the time of loan submission. They do not return emails or phone calls and if you have questions or need assistance with your loan file you are out of luck. You will never close a loan on time. If you send a loan there you should warn everyone in the transaction that you have no control over the loan process and to anticipate closing 30 - 60 days after the anticipated closing date. They are that bad!!! One star because i had to otherwise there would be no stars.

Horrible experience ran in circles to meet their 20 ridiculous conditions to be declined for reason that made no sense. I moved on approved somewhere else better rate close in 3 weeks less hassle. Horrible Horrible experience beware!!!! If i could give 0 stars i would!

Terrible company to work with. Have people handling loan process with no experience and keep making excuses during process taking 60 days to close a loan. Avoid at all costs.
