Do not do business with them. Worst mortgage company I have dealt with. I was their customer at the time and wanted to refinance my mortgage. I did my shopping around to see what are the interest rates and lowest fees I could get. I got a few very nice quotes from other mortgage providers, so with these quotes I contacted Sun West to see if they can beat these quotes and retain me as their customer. Aside from two different reps calling me fighting over who is doing my refinancing, which was very unprofessional, here is the main reason I dislike them. Sun West came close to the best competitors quote, but could not even match the offer, saying that the competition provided me with a quote that is formatted differently than their quote, so they can’t offer me the same deal, but if I get a Loan Estimate from them (competition), Sun West will match it. “This doesn’t even makes sense!!!”, is what I told him. The numbers are there on the competition’s quote, why can’t you provide me with the best deal you can give me, with in your means of course? Sun West rep said, they cannot go lower without Loan Estimate, which means they can go lower, it’s just they will not. I told Sun West, “If I get a Loan Estimate with someone else I will go with them”. The same day, I called the competition, but they did not return my phone call in a timely manner, since I was eager to take advantage of the rates at the time and the quote from Sun West was not too bad, I decided to take that offer. I called the Sun West rep back, (4 days later) and told him I will take the quote he made. To my dismay he told me that the quote expired the same day he sent it to me. The lowest interest rate he can offer now, is 0.5% higher than 4 days ago. “Are you kidding me?!?!”, was my reply. After a grueling 2 hour conversation with him and his manager I got nowhere, except giving them the lean payoff and signing contract with another lander a few weeks later. My advice, stay away from this lender.

If I could rate negative I would and they would deserve it. Without wasting much more time on these people let me first just say this has to be the most unethical and poorly run company not only in the mortgage and real estate business but, just business in general that I have ever dealt with. Ricardo Zavelata is a snake and if you are dealing with this idiot then proceed with caution. How companies find guys like this to operate in supervisory roles I will never know. Trust nothing that they say and just assume that if they are moving their lips that they are lying and/or trying to screw you over. After we backed out of the deal that we were trying to get complete with them (they kept upping their price at the 11th hour) they then would not release our earnest money for nearly 8 weeks. Steer clear of these people!!

STAY AWAY!!!! these people are a nightmare to work with literally they will make you feel like you in hell. You go through so much with them to get nowhere and just lose money. They are never satisfied with anything you provide them apparently. They will ask you for the world and you give it to them ,they still be asking for more . The process with them takes centuries seems like. Each person as you go up their "ladder" will be telling you something different they supposedly work at the same company but they are all on a different page and everyone is backing themselves up. They make it sound so good and appealing at the beginning until you sign the papers and realize the nightmare process you got yourself involved in. BEWARE !!!!!

By luck of the draw, SW was the mortgage lender on this house; after a year I was able to refinance the loan and asked specifically that SW be the mortgage lender as they had provided great, friendly, competent service on the first loan. This is my 8th house so I have dealt with many mortgage lenders over the years and SW stands head and shoulders above the larger banks for fast, personal and efficient staff and their ability to respond quickly to specific requests. Never thought I would be saying these things about a mortgage company, but they have earned my respect.

I have never experienced a more unprofessional company before. I almost lost the home I was trying to purchase in the process of trying to get a loan through this company. The lender had made several mistakes through out the entire process. And when all was said and done and I pulled the loan moving it to a different company he went crazy. The man called everyone he could blowing up every ones phone. He told my cosigner that her social would be released to everyone, and tried to blame it on me. DO NOT USE SUN WEST!!!!!!

Would give zero stars if possible. Steer clear of this shady operation. You will not know until closing what your actual closing costs are. Not only do they change multiple times a week but some times multiple times a day. Streamline mortgages are supposed to take 2 to 3 months but it takes these schisters 2 to 3 months. Be careful making payments on their website because they sometimes get lost but you will still be hit with a late fee and then 3 months of harassing phone calls.

The best of all she was available on phone and email any time of the day if I had any questions that can not wait for the next day. Horrible! I could have qualified for a much more expensive mortgage but wanted to downsize. I could not communicate with anyone from the company, was sent paperwork online and could never open up the documents. My broker could not get any assistance either. Customer Service is definitely not state side, i think they are in India. At the eleventh hour i pulled my mortgage, so i could close in a week with another financial institution. Dont waste your time with them!!!

BEWARE. The most unethical company ever. They completely misrepresented their ability to handle an FHA transaction. Their lies and incompetence cost us over $2000 in out-of-pocket expenses and we were unable to close on a deal that they took 4 months "working" on. After saying good-bye to them, another lender closed on our deal in 30 days. Stay away from these guys. They will waste your time and money and you will end up unable to close.

I had a really bad experience. The loan people were clueless. After 3 attempts for them to get the paper work right and 2 closing dates because they never told me I was closing. I final closed and then they never told me when my first payment was. For three weeks they could not tell me. If I had a choice now I would never use them. Hope our government never bails out this company.

I love working with the Staff and Sun West. We really love that we can send in piece mail for the conditions. Other lender will not even look at the conditions until they are complete including 3rd party items. The customer service is really lacking here. I just left another message for someone at Sun west to call me. All I have gotten when I call this number is an auto phone system telling me to leave a message and someone will call me back. They never do. Very disappointed that my mortgage was sold to Sun West.

Overall Comments on Experience: the best of best mortgage company. I had them for a year until my loan sold to other the worst of worst company,CENLAR. I really missed the customer service over at SUN-WEST and thinking to refinance with them and hopefully, they will accept me.

I had difficulties in communicating by phone and email. It seems that everyone is so busy. The only time I get an answer is when I bring it to the attention of the manager. Then, I get the response. There are also errors on the fees. The manager corrected that.

I have had the worst experience with Sun West. I have tried to get a hold of them multiple times and I can never get a hold of anyone. They have raised our mortgage payments multiple times even though we have a fixed rate. I strongly advise NOT using them!
