I had never even had a speeding ticket and live in Southern California when I got in trouble driving through Utah. I was arrested on charges of possession and was represented by a public defender at trial due to having a low income and being self employed. With the public defender, I was found guilty on the possession charge and served jail time along with 6 months private probation. However, when I falsely failed an initial intake drug test, the prosecutor later filed a motion to revoke the probation at the end of the 6 months and sentence me to jail time anyways. I was served an order to show cause and I looked everywhere online to find someone who would work with my low income as I have a child and wife I fully support on my fixed income. I heard good things about Mr Altman through reviews and after an initial consultation, he said he would work with my budget and so I hired Attorney David Altman to represent me. Not only did he work with me on the attorney fees but he also made all of the court appearances for me so I never had to travel back to Utah from California for court (which was a big worry with a kid). He also was able to get my violation of probation completely dismissed which was the best possible outcome. Mr. Altman was very professional but never too busy to talk to me or answer my questions and concerns. He was the best decision I could have made and I highly recommend him to anyone needing the best defense attorney in Utah who actually cares about you and your familys well-being. I was involved in a fight with the State of Utah and the Department of Child and Family Services over false charges of substance abuse, child endangerment and child neglect. I hired a very well-known lawyer in Southern Utah to represent me. Not only did that lawyer never explain what was going on, he convinced me to agree to a stipulation in court that I later learned admitted I was guilty of all of the charges. When I was ordered to be forcibly confined in a residential treatment facility long term for substance abuse and neglect that did not exist, I called Attorney David Altman. Mr. Altman took the time to explain exactly what had happened and why. I was in a very difficult situation because the court had already found me guilty of the charges. Even though the time to object to the court orders had already passed, Attorney Altman was able to persuade the judge to reopen the case and listen to our evidence. Mr. Altman aggressively challenged all of the court findings and fought the State and Department Child and Family Services at every turn. He was very effective in disproving all of the lies and false allegations against me. In the end Mr. Altman was able to save me from confinement that would have lasted between six months to one year. The way he handled my case was outstanding and he is an absolutely awesome attorney that I would recommend for anyone having a problem with the DCFS or needing any other legal matter.

CATALINA’S REVIEW I hired David Altman as my attorney for my divorce case after trying to do it myself online to save money. The online thing didn’t work so I found Mr. Altman and hiring him was the best decision I ever made. You always hear about lawyers taking your money and not doing any work or returning your calls but that was not my experience with attorney Altman. Attorney Altman was very attentive and always on top of my case from day one. My calls and emails were always returned in timely manner and I really appreciated his realistic advice about my case. He did everything he promised me. I was able to reach a full settlement of custody and child support at mediation. That was a relief because I didn’t have to spend lots of time and money in court. I thought my bill was going to be much higher but many of his services were marked “no charge”. Awesome attorney. Got charges dropped. I live in Arizona and I hiered Mr. Altman after my brother got pulled over in Utah for a traffic ticket and was facing jail time because it turned out that the vichle he had borrowed from a friends was reported stolen. It was a total mess and i hated to see my brother in a situation where he was innocent so i decided to hier an attorney . Out off all the attorneys i called i chose to hier because Mr. Altman was the only one who not only had answers to all my questions but gave me that trust and right off the bat i new he was the right one. Mr. Altman went beyond my expectations. He new my money situation and agreed to a payment plan. Despite the distance i not once had to drive to Utah because Mr. Alman had things under control. Mr. Altman will be my attorney for life. He represented me in civil and criminal matters and both times I was very happy with the results. In my civil case attorney Altman recovered over $35,000 when the insurance denied my claim and refused to pay anything. Mr. David Altman got me everything I asked for and I couldn’t be happier. I also had a criminal case in St. George and was facing jail time. Attorney Altman represented me again and his fee was very reasonable. He got my misdemeanor charges reduced to a single infraction which wouldn’t appear as a conviction on my record. Mr. Altman handled all my court dates without my going to court except for the first court date. This was a big deal because I moved to California and couldn’t go back to Utah court. I hired attorney Altman after I learned that a warrant had been issued for my arrest for probation violations in a St. George, Utah case from 2006. I had contacted both the court clerk and the judge and explained that I lived thousands of miles away and was unable to appear in court, but no one would listen. I was told that I had no choice but to return to Utah to answer charges. I was facing a fine, extended probation and the possibility of a jail time.Mr. Altman accepted my case for a very reasonable fee and allowed me to make monthly payments. Mr. Altman handled a couple of cases for me, both criminal. I moved out of state and he was able to get these cases handled for me with out my presence ever needed in Utah. Although the prosecutor was insisting on jail time, Mr. Altman was able to convince the judge that I did not deserve to go to jail. He was able to get the warrants for my arrest recalled and the suspention of my driver license removed. The resolution of these cases could not have been better for me! Mr. Altman was always available to answer my questions (and I had a lot of them) and always kept me informed of the status of my cases at all times. I could not have expected a better outcome or received better legal services, especially for the financial investment, which was more than reasonable. I had two big auto accidents one right after the other. I lost control of my car in the second accident so it was my fault. My car was totaled in the second accident.
