Today I have a big SMILE! So, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation and happiness to Mr. Kenneth Bouton. I start with identifying that I am a federal retiree and for about six (6) years, I’ve tried unsuccessfully to refinance my mortgage. Consequently, two years ago, I ventured into retirement with an enormous mortgage payment that I was unable to get modified by any organization. Circumstances turned in my favor this year because I had the ultimate pleasure to connect via phone with Mr. Kenneth Bouton. NationStar came recommended to me by CENLAR. However, Mr. Bouton didn’t know Renee Murphy from Jane Doe but after a brief introduction, immediately offered to review my situation and details. Within twenty minutes Mr. Bouton indicated that his findings looked pretty good and asked if I wanted to proceed with processing a new loan. I expressed my apprehensions to him because of the many nightmares I experienced with a forced into - Countrywide high interest loan, but then I agreed to the terms. The rest is history! I found in Mr. Bouton a professional who did not solely approach supporting the loan mission with the mindset of a good businessman but equally; with the heart of one intending to help me with honesty, integrity, and genuine caring. I can say, that the caring and constant encouraging comments given throughout the process are rare attributes which set Mr. Bouton as outstanding amongst all others I’ve talked with on this matter. I believe that you can never say the words “Thank You” enough so I hope you share my appreciation with Mr. Bouton again; because, all of my fears surrounding this process were diminished as we communicated. On several occasions Ken reiterated that he would stay in touch with me for the duration of the process; and without hesitation, he continued to ensure me that all would go well. He seemed to work 24/7 to keep me encouraged through completion. For me, Ken is a God send and I’m very grateful to have had his support with finalizing my loan. His professionalism is outstanding and he truly represents NationStar well. Again, please thank Mr. Bouton for all of his excellent support and for a job well done, in my opinion. Know too, that I appreciate that "NationStar" has given me this opportunity to share these comments about Ken on-line who is truly a jewel. Sincerely, Renee Murphy

I am also one of those unlucky families whose mortgage was sold from Bank of America to Nationstar. I have been paying my monthly mortgage payments on time for 10 years to Bank of America and to an average of 7 credit cards for 15 years. Recently on Nov 1, 2013, Bank of America sold my loan to Nationstar Mortgage. My payments were programmed to be paid automatically inside of Bank of America Billpay system. Starting on Nov 1, 2013, Bank of America stopped processing my payments and I was not aware of this decision until I read a letter from Nationstar which I received at the middle of November. After being diligent of making my payments on time with Bank of America for 10 years, I firmly believe that is unfair that my credit history and score gets enormously affected due to this internal decision agreed between Bank of America and Nationstar. My credit score was affected with the argument that I was 2 months behind my payment. This is extremely unfair due to the following reasons: 1.-My monthly payments were programmed to be paid on time inside of Bank of America. I had the necessary funds in my bank of account to support the programmed payments. Based on this, I firmly believe that I am showing responsibility and my intention to have the payments to be paid on time. 2.-The letter sent by Nationstar gives an opportunity to many misinterpretations: a) Letter said I had a window of 60 days to start making the payments directly to Nationstar. I always pay on the 5th of every month so if the loan was transferred on November, I thought I had until January 5, 2014 for making a payment. This is the reason why I paid on January 3rd the payment for November and December. I hope that someone can help me by determining that a report of being 2 months behind my mortgage payments is an enormously unfair judgment based on my credit history and for the reasons that I am describing above. Please help me to delete this unfair report which is greatly affecting my business. If anyone who can open my report, he/she will be able to see my behavior on making payments on time for so many years. And if I maintain a high ratio of using most of the credit lines available, that is because I use that credit to operate my business in real estate.

Nationstart disgusts me, is a business where only think about how to get the money to people. Only payable online require more than $ 9.00 and the last payment I could not do online that have put another barrier as an excuse to get more money on technical ways those who have accounts with them. I made a payment through the automated system and was charged $ 14.00 payable only. He made me want to vomit and I loathe this fact to charge only for pay should better decirnnos to give away without them diniero for nothing. I suggest you do the menera single payment to them. In any store charge for buying, unlike the store thanks us when we buy. From now start looking for another bank. To be more aware and really help your users. I say to all, Hispanics and other culture that does not do business with Nationsart. or a quarter of a star not deserve. naada,

I have been trying to receive a payoff balance for a loan. Between my loan officer and myself I have contacted them more than six times and 12hours. This loan is in my deceased grandmother’s name. I am the executor of the estate and have filed the paperwork with Nation Star the first time on August 2012 Since then I have had to provide this paper on three other occasions. In April 2013, I started a refinance process with another loan company. As of July 15, 2013 my new loan has been ready to go all I needed was a payoff about. I and my loan officer have been trying to receive that document for over two weeks. I have been told by customer service that I will receive it within 24 to 48hrs on three separate occasions and so has my loan officer. I’m at the point now that I may lose my fixed rate for my new loan which will cause my loan payment and interest payment to increase ~1/2%. This may not seem like a lot to you but it is to me. Not only has this been a trying time in my family with the loss of my grandmother but it has been made more frustrating dealing with this company. At one point, while my loan officer was on the phone with a CSR she was told that it doesn’t matter where the money comes from as long as they keep on getting it. To me this sounds like they are giving me the run around in order not to lose my business. Also after the last payoff inquires, I was contacted by one of their loan officers to ask why I didn’t refinance with them. Please help. I need to get a payoff so I can sign my loan documents. Sincerely, Lonna Kinney

Greg, As a Mortgage servicer, I am sure you get tons of emails with unhappy stories from unhappy customers. I feel it is equally important for people like you and Caitlin to recieve letters from happy ones as well. My family was put in a bad position through no fault of our own. We didnt buy more than we could afford. We didnt take out risky ARM loans or interest only loans. When my wife lost her job, we kept paying our mortgage because that is the right thing to do. When the economy tanked and we became underwater over 50% my wife got a job pretty far from our home so we had to move and buy another home. Unable to sell the house due to the negative equity, we kept it, rented it out for a loss and STILL continued to pay our mortgage on time. With everyone around us, walking away from thier houses, destroying the properties and actually getting paid from banks to walk away, we stuck by our principles and decided to not contribute to the problems plagueing our country. With all that being said I wanted to thank you and more specifically Caitlin, for working with us to get our payment closer to where it needs to be in order to rent out this "investment" home (this has certainly NOT been an investment for us). Today you made a difference in a families life. I write this because I am guessing all the correspondence you normally get is probably negative and that isnt fair. Thank you for your help and good work! Sincerely, The Krakowski Family

I like talking to human beings. Nothing against robots, but humans are much more genuine. So after going through a recent refinance process with Greenlight Loans, I have to give them a shout out for giving me convenient, timely access to the two loan coordinators I worked with: Wesley Ogrodowicz and Elaine Juezan. In 2014, when automation is dominating so many facets of our lives I found comfort in the fact that I could talk with real-life human beings during this process. And let’s be honest, dealing with loan applications, signing a zillion papers, waiting, waiting, waiting, etc., is not typically a fun activity. But being able to talk with humans based in the U.S.A. (California still counts, right? I kid, I kid) who have LinkedIn and Facebook accounts and families just like me made a HUGE difference for me. As for the process, it was pretty smooth considering the significant (to me) amount of money involved, and that was refreshing, too. But again, it was the real person on the other end of the phone that really impressed me. And frankly, it restored some faith in humanity for me during an era when paying your cable bill over the phone is like dealing with the lifeless computers from some weird sci-fi movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bottom line: Kudos to the Greenlight Team.
