Crawlspace Ninja just finished up with the second project I’ve had them complete at my house and I’m completely happy with my decision to have them back. The first project they did for me was to seal all my crawlspace vents and install a dehumidifier with drain and crawlspace fan to keep bring the moisture level down and keep it down. It has worked really well. When I open my crawlspace door I no longer have that crawlspace smell (damp, musty, or however you describe it) and the air in my home feels different to the point that I am comfortable with my thermostat set at two degrees higher than it used to be. I wasn’t expecting a change in how my house felt, it was just an unexpected bonus. I had this work completed only because the damp smell had me curious if I had a moisture problem. On the initial visit for them to check out the space Jamie explained to me exactly what was going on (no sky is falling sales pitch) and explained what I needed to do and other options that would make the space even better but were not needed right away. I scheduled the work to be done and it was completed on time for the exact price we discussed and the crew was very professional, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves. And last, the price was very reasonable. I was so satisfied with the work in my crawlspace I had them come back to do some work in my attic. My home has a loft bedroom that has always been warmer than the downstairs of the home. After some looking around I noticed the two knee walls between the loft and attic were not insulated. To see how much temperature difference, I had I used an infrared thermometer to check some temperatures in my house. I did these checks multiple times over the course of a week or so. I checked the temperature of the wall beside my thermostat downstairs and found the wall to always be within 1 degree +/- the temperature my thermostat was set to. In addition, every downstairs wall in my house was always within 2 degrees +/- the temperature of my thermostat. But the knee walls between the loft and attic were consistently between 10 and 12 degrees hotter that my thermostat temperature. Crawlspace Ninja came out and insulated my knee walls with fiberglass bats covered with foam board insulation and air sealed the wall. Since the work has been completed the knee walls have stayed within 1 to 2 degrees +/- the temperature my thermostat is set to and the upstairs is now just as comfortable as the rest of my house. They also sealed all of my HVAC registers to the floor both from the crawlspace and living space and relocated my dryer vent that had been venting under a low deck to a wall that was free of obstructions. Again, Jamie showed up on time to take a look, make a recommendation and give me a quote. The work was scheduled and the crew showed up on time, did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves then made sure I was satisfied with the work. The price on this job was so reasonable I actually questioned Jamie about the price because it seemed to low and I wanted to ensure we were on the same page with what all I wanted done. I’ve got several of the projects I want to get done in time and I’ll definitely be having the Ninjas back to do them. I give them my highest recommendation. If you have a project that needs completed in your crawlspace or attic, give them a call and see what they have to say. I suspect you won’t be disappointed. Also check out their YouTube channel. They have lots of videos that will likely provide some answers to questions you might have about the type of work they do.

We purchased a new (to us) home 2 years ago that had a rather large and funky crawl space. The gutters had been clogged for a good while and caused much water to enter the space, which ruined all of the under-floor fiberglass insulation and led to mold problems. The door to the crawl space had also been left open and animals had gotten inside, exacerbating the problems. It was pretty ugly down there! Michael suggested fully enclosing the crawl space. This meant removing all of the insulation and treating the mold. Mold was also found in the living space and was treated. The crawl space was sealed and the walls insulated (versus leaving open vents + floor insulation). A Horizon dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity at 50% and thus prevent new mold. I sincerely believe this is the best way to utilize a crawl space ( we considered inside foundation water drainage and new fiberglass, but decided to go with Michael. The space is odor-free and much cleaner than any other I have seen. It stays from 65-75 degrees in the crawl space year-round. The floors are not cold......something we wondered about when all of the floor insulation is gone. The dehumidifier runs a lot when the humidity is above 50% outdoors, but it keeps us at or below 50% in the crawl space-so no mold. So, seal your crawl space! Thanks, Michael

We recently purchased an older home in Fountain City and needed some basement/crawlspace work done. CrawlSpace Ninja was selected for the work. From beginning to end they were most excellent! Jamie assessed the situation and did not oversell what was needed. And was very thorough in answering our questions. A few days later Michael the owner came by to verify the situation and was very helpful and honest. Then the Ninjas arrived a few days later to start the work process. Alex, Nick and Ben are terrific ninjas indeed! They are extremely courteous, thorough and efficient. They laid down vapor barrier, sealed some vent openings, installed a dehumidifier, installed a support post and added nails to a ledger board for additional strength as per engineer report. And actually they did a few extra things at no additional cost. We primarily interacted with Alex ninja and he was a delight as he explained everything they were doing and addressed all of our concerns in a clear and simple manner. And all of them were very speedy and efficient in their work. The total cost was also quite reasonable and acceptable. From our experience with CrawlSpace Ninja we highly recommend their services. Many thanks Ninjas, well done. Sincerely, John and Tina

Michael is easy to talk with, no pressure. We discussed a variety of projects to get the heat in the attic and bonus room reduced. I have a friend, who is an architect and was at the house looking at some other things, so I asked him to look at the attic situation while he was here. Based on some of the things that Michael and I had discussed, he made some suggestions. I talked to Michael about his input. We ended up raising the insulation in the attic to R49, and we installed two 25-watt solar attic fans to move the air. There is zero question that it made a difference. The two gentlemen who installed the insulation and the attic fans were easy to talk with as well. They were careful and cleaned up as well. I did find one small piece of a shingle that was cut away for the fans, which had fallen off the deck, so they did not see it, and I only saw it because I was mowing. Michael came back by and looked at the work completed about five days later, and he agreed that it had made a difference in the temperature in the bonus room, as well as in the attic itself. Based on my experience, Michael and the team can be trusted to do what they say they will do, when they say they will and with a quality finished product.

We purchased a new home with high humidity concerns in the crawlspace along with elevated levels of radon. Michael Church along with individuals from his company installed a dehumidification system as well as a radon mitigation system (EPA recommended design) in the crawl space. The quality of the products: dehumidifier, 12 mil vapor barrier, centrifugal fan, piping (painted to perfectly match the downspouts from the gutters) was outstanding! The quality of the work was excellent and all the wiring, sealing, and mounts were perfectly done! I have never had a more pleasurable experience with contractors than I had with Michael and all those that work with him; from the office personnel to the crew at the jobsite. They are all very courteous and worked so hard to please their customers! I highly recommend them to anyone that needs the type of services their company offers. We have additional projects planned for the home and look forward to having them do additional work for us as well.

This company was one of four I considered and I CERTAINLY chose the correct one. I did a lot of research and each company had a different approach so that was helpful. From the beginning when I met Jamie I felt very comfortable. He was willing to put together a solution that I was happy with using the materials I wanted. Once the job started the owner Michael personally came to the job site to check on things several times. Mulu and Alex who did the majority of the work were absolutely incredible. Not only did they work so hard that I was just blown away but they were both just super people. All in all this company far surpassed my expectations and I feel the job was done right!

The initial meeting with Michael went very well. He listened to my concerns about my crawlspace, and followed up with questions about exactly what I wanted to achieve. He then went into the crawlspace to evaluate the situation and take pictures. He used these to backup his recommendations. Michael was very concerned about only doing work that aligned with what I was hoping to accomplish, and stayed within my budget. He was extremely courteous and professional during our meeting. They came out to do the work and I must say they did an excellent job! His crew completed the work ahead of schedule and kept us informed of what was going on under the house.

We are very pleased with the work CrawlSpaceNinja did in our home. We had multiple companies give quotes but chose CrawlSpaceNinja right away after speaking with Jamie. Wish we would have called them first! Jamie was very informative and educated us on what work was best for our home. The work was done in a timely manner with polite staff. After months of being sick, it was discovered we had mold in our crawlspace with standing water. It has been a couple weeks since the work was completed and my entire family is now getting well and our home feels like a safe place again. Thank you to all the staff for being there every step of the way.

We are pleased so far with the work done in our Crawlspace. Michael and Jamie seemed knowledgeable and responded in a timely manner to calls and e-mails. The work was performed earlier and faster than anticipated. We had one minor concern afterward which both Michael and Jamie attempted to address and Michael made it right. Our goal for the work was to only address some issues in our Crawlspace, but after the work was done I noticed that the damp musty feeling in several areas of our house had cleared up. A nice surprise. We are considering CrawlspaceNinjas again later this year or next year for some work in our attic.

After purchasing an older home we had Indoor Air Quality Specialists add extra insulation to that which had compressed and shifted over the years. In the process they added baffles and containments systems where needed. They also built safely shields to cover pot lights which were mounted through the ceiling. They were able to blow the insulation in through an upstairs windows which reduced the need to have door and windows open in our living area. Afterwards they vacuumed and left everything neat. We will be calling them soon for a crawl space containment system.

We were recently privileged to work with this company, they have completed two jobs for us in our home....attic space and crawl space...both jobs were carried out in a very professional manner and with expertise. The company arrived on time and we experienced trouble free work which was completed in a timely manner. They quoted and stuck to the price another plus for them as so many contractors these days think a quote is an options to charge anything they feel like at the end of the job. We would recommend this company to any of our friends. Joan and Jim McCulloch

Michael and his team are awesome and a delight to work with! They are very genuine, trustworthy, professional and go the extra mile. Our crawl space was rather complicated but they worked tirelessly until they figured out what was going on and got it fixed. Jaimie came on a Sunday to drop off an air purifier to clean our air until they could get us on the schedule to fix it. We appreciated their kindness to help us. They did an excellent job and took exceptional care. I strongly recommend you call them for your crawl space needs. You can trust them.
