I used John Gilroy with Gilroy & Napoli to represent me in a very complex and multi-faceted case after a bad experience with a different lawyer/law firm (whom I dismissed). I travelled from Hawaii to deal with my case and made a point to interview several different firms. I felt instantly comfortable with John and his staff and never felt judged or looked down upon. Since I live across the Pacific Ocean and am not in state to deal with this legal matter, finding the right lawyer and firm was essential. My requirements were the following: knowledge of the law, loads of experience, amicable connections, excellent communication, likability, cost and ability to think outside the box. John Gilroy far exceeded my expectations on all accounts. His resume, experience and knowledge of the legal system are outstanding and his contacts and connections saved me both time and money. The amount I saved from his thinking outside of the box and directing me clearly on what to do covered more than his fees; I ended up saving money by using Gilroy and Napoli. He’s also a very nice guy. This may not seem important; however, having a lawyer who has a good reputation among his peers and colleagues is necessary. Many lawyers will reference that they know everyone in the system, but he genuinely does. His professional history outlines it and my experience proves it. I highly recommend John Gilroy and Gilroy & Napoli.

John Gilroy…the name I’d recommend. He represented me on a domestic violence and harassment case. John told me what I needed to hear…not necessarily what I wanted to hear. John knows the process inside and out, and the people who participate. I was assured when I walked into the courtroom and it was obvious John had great rapport with everyone (law enforcement, DA’s, Judges and staff). John’s investment of time in the legal system has developed great relationships throughout the courthouse so that I felt that my best interests were always addressed. John’s communication was impeccable. He seemed to anticipate my questions and provided clear outlines of potential outcomes so that I understood the risk and reward scenarios for each step. John provided clear instructions that gave me the assurance that I knew that I was prepared for anything that could happen. My wife and I were referred to Gilroy & Napoli to assist our son who was facing serious criminal charges in Clackamas County. We met and hired attorney John Gilroy. After consulting with other criminal attorneys in Clackamas County, we were immediately struck by John’s real, no “b.s.” approach. John was encouraging, but realistic. It was clear from the outset that John knew his way around the Clackamas County Courthouse and had excellent contacts and experience. I highly recommend Gilroy & Napoli. Being represented by John Gilroy was the smartest and biggest decision I have ever made. Without the help and guidance that was provided, I would have a very different life today. Mr. John Gilroy represented me in my possession charge case in Multnomah County and it was the best decision I had made. John helped me every step of the way in fighting my case and was extremely knowledgeable. He was very easy to reach and communicate with at any time. His assistant Ashley who was in court with me at my hearing was also amazing. She was very nice and professional and did a great job in court. I selected Jeff Napoli as my attorney for a complex criminal matter after interviewing two other local Lake Oswego/Clackamas County attorneys. Jeff had relationships with the prosecutors as well as the judge and did an excellent job guiding me through the legal proceedings. He even took time to meet with my very concerned wife to explain to her what was happening. In the end we got the best possible outcome, and I really appreciate him going the extra mile. I would highly recommend Jeff and will use him in the future. He’s extremely professional and efficient.

I am very impressed with this firm and will definatly refer other people there. I know they do criminal law but also family law as well.
