This is a short part of a longer review I wrote to the company: "Comfort First sells, uses, and installs superior products with incomparable warranties. Whilst disassembling our old ductwork, the team noted that a component of our cooling system, although still functional, was very aged and in poor condition. They showed us the part and we all consulted together on how to proceed. Ultimately, we decided to replace the entire system. We are very happy with our new Amana Air Conditioner and Polarized Media air filters. When our installation was complete, Joel walked with us through the house to assess airflow. Ultimately, we needed to exchange one of our new ducts for one of a larger caliber and that was done the following day. Finally, a blast test was performed which showed that our new system was sealed very, VERY well. I cannot say enough about the office manager, Beth. She helped us set up and schedule each of our appointments and also established our installation timing. She is who I spoke with to make my payment over the phone. She is so congenial and helpful; she is such an asset to the company. Additionally, Krysta, in the office, filled out all of the necessary paperwork for us to receive the maximum rebates possible for our newly installed systems. She was very helpful for us." You will be very, very well cared for and very, very satisfied if you choose Comfort First.

Scheduled a service with this company. I was told they would arrive between 8-12, which is an awfully large window of time. Took the day off work to be available. After noon none once had called so I contacted them. I was informed that the technician was running behind and I was next on the list and he would be by soon. Around 1 pm I get a phone call from the company saying they realized that I had an 8-12 appointment and no one had been by. They went through the whole song and dance again about how the technician was on a call that lasted longer than expected. This is the point where I realize they are so disorganized they have no idea that I have already contacted them that day. I am then informed that not to worry “they are almost done with the job and only have one more person ahead of me”. Trying to be understanding I say okay and hang up the phone. Now at 2 pm no one has called so I contact the company again and they say that they do not know how much longer the technician will be at his current call but he is a 30 minute drive away from me. After they said they would try to “fit me in next week” I contacted another HVAC company. I have no faith they would have shown up the next time.

My husband and I have been having problems with our Heating System. It will shut off for hours at a time, sometimes the entire day, and once it shuts off there is nothing we can do to get it to turn back on. Comfort First Heating and Cooling was the company hired by our Home Warranty Company to come out and fix the problem. They came out three times to figure out what the problem was, and each time the problem still persisted. The last time, the technician told my husband that the problem was electrical, and told my husband that he would relay that information to the Warranty company to see what they would cover. Instead, he told the warranty company that there was nothing wrong with our heat. When my husband called to find out why the technician told him one thing and told the Warranty Company another, the lady he dealt with was very rude to him and basically accused him of making up the part about the error being electrical. We are extremely frustrated and now have to find another company to come and fix our heat, which is still shutting off.

Very disappointed. The tech said that the condenser coil was totally clogged with dirt and reported that to American Home Shield, creating problems. It turns out the tech never even pulled the fan and looked inside the condenser housing, but rather only took off the panel where the compressor is to check the head pressure. Although that small area behind the compressor was pretty dirty, the rest of the coil was clean when I opened the unit up to clean it. FWIW, the unit had been serviced and cleaned less than 12 months ago. The bottom line is the tech did a shoddy job of inspecting the problem and then submit an inaccurate report to my warranty company. They seemed more interested in selling me a cleaning that I did not need, at a price that was twice what other companies charge for the same service. I will not use again, and I would not recommend them.

To Art Harmon We would like to take this opportunity to express our thoughts on Comfort First. Your excellent work up on what our house would need for comfort and health issues. We ad the complete dollar amount we would need to purchase the unit for both furnace and cooling systems before you left. You explained every questions we had, sepdning many hours with us on issues that concerned us. We were so pleased with the workers who installed the unit. They explained each day what they would be doing, when they would be leaving and returning the next day. On the day of completions we had a commitment and had to leave. Wow! What service! I can not say enough great things about Art, Ricky & Josh. After learning we needed a new HVAC unit we did like most and shopped around for what we believed to be the best unit, best price, best service, etc. We were on the fence until Art came out and talked with us about what Comfort First could do for us. We signed the paperwork that night and 2 business days later we have a new HVAC unit that goes beyond any expectations I might have had. Ricky & Josh installed our unit and were the utmost in professionalism, knowledge and customer service. Call Art and his team for any heating/air conditioning issues you may have, I promise you will not go wrong!

Very impressed!! My home warranty company contacted Comfort First at 11 PM last night when we notified them our AC had stopped working. They called us this morning and set an appointment for today! My window was noon to 4, and the technician, Daniel, showed up at the early end of that. He was very polite and professional. Daniel checked out the HVAC and advised that the motor had died. He tried repairing it but it was beyond hope. I was expecting some long delay to order parts, but he had one on his truck. He replaced it and was thanking me with a handshake in less than two hours. Overall, a very impressive experience.

My initial contact with Renee McFadden Project Manager for picking a new air conditioner was great. Renee was a true professional at her job. Her mission was to make me comfortable in picking the right HVAC for my home. Renee covered every aspect of the process from beginning to end. Always insuring to help me pick out the right unit for for my comfort level. When all is said and done I have the right unit for my home. Along with the protection that comes with the unit. All I can say is thanks Renee for your professionalism and dedication to your customer satisfaction. Making sure I made the right decision for my comfort level.

During a late evening conversation with my elderly retired parents I found out that they had scheduled an installation of a new AC unit at a price which I felt they were being taken advantage of. My internet search connected me with Mr. Art Harmon who immediately and personally inspected my parents home and presented them with the best system based on their situation. They are completely satisfied with the work done and the employees who did the job. Comfort First is staffed by the nicest, most compliant people in the heating/air field--and I did a lot of shopping before contracting with them. They take extra steps to ensure that their customers are satisfied. Overall, working with this company has been a rewarding experience. I did have some initial installation problems. Fortunately, Comfort First took these issues seriously. They sent one of their top engineers to troubleshoot my system and to locate and fix the problem. Clearly, they take pride in their work. All things considered, I would recommend Comfort First.

Our home warranty company dispatched this company, so I started calling them on a holiday weekend constantly. Despite claiming 24/7 service, they never returned my multiple requests to tell me why they could not service our furnace. We ended up getting our furnace repaired 2 days later, and shivered the night away in our own home twice. Turns out my warranty company cancelled the call , but that does not explain why they never returned no fewer than 3 page hours through their dispatch company. We will avoid this contractor in the future.

I had a choice between choosing Comfort First and ARS. I chose Comfort First to install my new unit, and I am very glad that I did. They had patience with me as I asked questions that led to my decision, they were very professional with my installation experience and follow up. They even loaned me a space heater as I was waiting to have the installation done. And when I had follow up questions regarding the charges they addressed them immediately to my satisfaction! I would definitely recommend them to someone who needs HVAC work.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM! they are out to there to milk you! Tech told me that induce motor is bad and need to be replace so he order one. Came back to install the motor then told me heat exchange needs to be replaced as well. He left w/o giving any invoice/documents and told me part is in back order and will take 4 weeks. I immediately knew he is Little shady on his job so i call for second opinion and tech told me that motor was not replaced and heat exchange has no issue. Bottom line do you research and get second opinion if needed.

when visiting our summer home in North Carolina we noticed a noise from one of our heat pumps. Our next door neighbor recommended Comfort First. I shut the unit off as we had to return to New York.I called from New York, set up an appointment and returned the following week. The technician arrived on time. His name is Steve and is and a real gentleman. The unit needed a new motor. This was a Monday afternoon and after ordering the part we were up and running Thursday morning. This is great service. Thank you so much.

Absolutely horrible! Stay away! We were told our A/C motor would be ordered and shipped within 2-3 business days. It has been 10 days and the woman who answers the phone cannot even find the tracking number? She originally said it would be delivered this past Monday, yesterday, and scheduled to install today. Now they are saying possibly Wednesday, but cannot even find the item. We are getting the run around, and with an elderly person living here, it is very difficult. I hope to God she is okay. NO STAR AT ALL!

I would just like to commend technician Brandon on his professionalism and care for servicing my air conditioning unit. He is very humble and respectful and really got on a personal level with me when diagnosing the problem I was having. He took the time to explain what was going on and answered any questions I had. My first experience with this company was with another tech and was not as positive as I had hoped, which in turn questioned my trust in them, but Brandon helped change my perspective.

David was my technician. He came out and I have been having problems with my unit for a month or so. He came in and fixed all the problems it was having. He was very polite and when I would leave him and he would come back in the house he always announced before entering. He wore shoe covers over his feet so not to get the carpet dirty, and when he was done he put things back as they were. Thank you Comfort First. I asked for some of David’s cards to give them to my co-workers.

This is the first time using Comfort First. I called AHS because I had a problem with my heating system. Comfort First responded to this service order and took care of the problem. Before departing, the technician advised me of their warranty program. After reviewing the information, I call and got a warranty plan and the first visit was just outstanding. Now we feel like we have the complete package for our cooling and heating systems, AHS and Comfort First.
