NEVER buy a battery from AAA! I purchased a battery less than a year ago and it stopped holding a charge the other day. I had the AAA driver come to my house to jump my car and test the battery. He said the battery test came back good and told me to leave the car running 20 minutes to charge the car. I ran the car for 30 minutes and after work the battery was completely dead. I then had to get my car jumped again and dropped it off at my mechanic. My mechanic charged and tested the battery and told me it was not holding a charge. He tested my alternator and said it was fine and it is just a faulty battery. I then had to call AAA again to meet them at my mechanic and they tested the battery again and told me it was good and would not replace it with the warranty. He said he would have to call and have it towed to a AAA service center to charge the battery and test it more. After wasting two half days off of work, I decided to just purchase a new battery from my mechanic (rather than wasting more time at a AAA center) and needless to say my car has been working fine since.

The road side assistance was way too long to get to me. I called and was told 1 hour. 1.5 hours later I had to call back to find out driver would be another 20 minutes or so. Then a completely different driver just showed up. No one called to tell me they are going to be late or that the driver is changed. AAA car care center then had my car and told me I would need $2700 in repairs. To their credit they told me to have a Ford service center look at it to see if certain things (like the computer piece) are covered by them. Ford looked at it and found that the computer (PCM) had to be replaced, but that was all, no ignition coils like AAA said. Cost is $1250 total at Ford. While I appreciate that AAA tried to help me by seeing if Ford would cover things, the fact that Ford found only one issue and the cost is less than 1/2 what AAA was going to do is disturbing. I will be calling AAA to let them know.

I have always received wonderful customer / car care at AAA Car Care Center on Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC from the entire staff. Today was EXCEPTIONAL though… Last night NC had a horrible ice storm. I managed to get my Prius in first thing in the morning, but when I realized my car would be held captive for more than just an oil change and that they were not able to get someone in to run their shuttle service due to the storm, I expressed my concern about having to wait there all day. Wayne Chase braved the icy conditions to personally make sure I was able to get home safely. He also offered to pick me up when my car was ready! I am very grateful for their level of professionalism and willingness to help. Thank you Wayne, and staff.

CHEATS, they want your money. Thats it!!. I had my slave cylinder leaking, took the car to them. He said I can go back and work while he will give me a call. He called up saying it will take $350 to replace the small slave cylinder which costs much less, with labor worth 1.5 hours. what??? okay.. fine.. Then he called up 1 hour later saying new slave cylinder blew your master one and he asked me another $250 to replace that.. I was angry and I literally shouted on him. The Master cylinder was totally fine, and I checked it myself I said. His defence was to point out how old my car is and how old that master cylinder was. WTF! Dont ever come to this AAA car care center and I am going to point report them to AAA customer service.

My experience with this location was excellent in September 2015 and 2014. A special thanks to Glenn Drake, service consultant, who is always courteous and efficient and makes sure I have peace of mind with my car repairs and Christy McMillion who does her part in assisting you with what ever you need to get through the experience, and she is a great listener. I missed very little time from work, Christy took me to work and picked me up. When I arrived at the center, one of the mechanics noticed that I also had a flat tire. I am always satisfied with the repairs and service. This team is one of the most caring and professional car-care groups I have ever dealt with. Thanks again G. Barden

I was in Raleigh for business when I unexpectedly got 2 flat tires. I was able to get AAA to tow my car to the Glenwood store and received great customer service. I called the store prior to the car arriving and spoke to Terry who was great. He was able to get the tires to the store before my truck was there, and had my car ready with in an hour of it hitting the shop. From the tow, to the shop service, I cant thank these guys enough. I am a firm believer in AAA, and they have proven once again, that they are the best. Special thanks again to Terry, as he was able to get me in and out with out an issue. Great communication, and experience from the Glenwood store.

The guys at AAA/Glenwood, car care were great. I had gone in cause my 96 Bronco was having issues with to much play in the steering. Glenn provided me with fantastic customer service and Wayne the manager went above and beyond to get this soldier on the road again and back home. My mechanic Eric explained to me step by step why that was happening, and did his best to fix it since I HAD to be on the road that night back to Fort Carson, CO. The guys even stayed later to get the job done for me. I would Highly recommend AAA car care on Glenwood to my friends and also to other soldiers!!! Thanks again guys for all your help, SGT C

I am new to the Raleigh area and was in need of car service...I could not have been more happy with the care and service I received at AAA Car Care Center @ Glenwood Avenue. What a wonderful and helpful staff! Took me out to see the problem under my car and explained everything to me beforehand. The appointment I made was honored and I was actually out before the promised time!!! I will definitely be going back there for all my car care service needs. It is very comforting to find such a great place when you know no one in the area to ask. If you are in need of auto care services, this is the place to go!

Disappointed. I have been using this center for at least 4 years. I relied on inspections and guidance when repairs were needed to avoid expensive repairs due to poor maintenance. This is the second time on two vehicles that I have been told everything was fine and then when I went back to get checked again, the brakes were so bad the repairs were costly. The brake inspections are cursory at best. Full service oil changes need to checked that they were completed as advertised. The staff was friendly but I will not be returning to this center. I have lost trust and confidence in this establishment.

What a Great Experience this was!! I took my little Toyota in to get the tires checked the other day for a bit of a wobble and they really took care of both my car and got me back to work quickly and picked me up when it was ready as well! Both of the folks I worked with the young man with the "anti-gravity" hair who drove me both ways, and Glen who listened to me when I first came in, not to mention whomever worked on my car which drives so much better now that they fixed it all went above and beyond in their customer service! It was affordable and I highly recommend this Car Care Center.

I was in a distress situation caused by some other work that had been done on my van(not sure which service caused it). Before I sent the van back to the dealership (who wants to do that), the AAA towing service suggested, I have the it checked out at their location free of charge. Long store short we found out that previous work that was not completed properly involving a loose ground cable, had caused my starter to burn out. They fixed it same day at a reasonable price and explained everything to me. The service manager is a really good guy.

Had some major service done on my 2003 saturn. Everything turned out great with the exeption of a lingering noise from the right strut, which they had replaced. I contacted Glenn and brought the car back. They detected the problem and fixed it to my satisfaction; I was treated with the utmost courtesy at all times. The waiting area is great and the convenience of shuttle service to and from home is unique to any facility I have used previously. Thanks to Glenn and Christy for their friendly and professional service.

Customer service is what keeps me coming back to AAA Glenwood. My Honda started having transmission issues. Wayne and team diagnosed the problem -- I needed the transmission to be rebuilt -- and followed through to make sure it was working smoothly before I got the car back. It took a week, but I am happy that they thoroughly tested the car and resolved some issues before giving it to me. Because I have 2 older cars, I do a lot of business with AAA Glenwood, and I am always satisfied with the results.

I had it towed here at suggestion of AAA dispatcher and because it was across the street from where my car had to be towed. I had them look at it with instructions to do no more than $100 repairs. They called me with a quote of a minimum of $1600, saying I needed a new clutch. I kept it there for a week and had it towed again to my longtime mechanic, who fixed it for $600. It was only the clutch master cylinder. Two stars for letting me keep the car there and for not attempting any repairs.

The staff team was very nice and polite.........but lack knowledge or bad testing equipment. The written report said "damage PCM", and had to be towed to the Chrysler workshop for repair. They said they could not start the car; but they did discard excess oil. After discarding, they should try to start the car again, that might have solve their problem. It turned out that there was ( and still is not ) nothing wrong with the PCM. The car is running well now.

Had an awesome experience with the folks at AAA Car Care - Glenwood. Took my car in for an oil change and a noise on the front passenger side wheel which ended up being a bad wheel hub bearing. It was going to be a costly endeavor until "Glennwood Glenn" worked his magic. I walked out saving a significant amount of money with his tenacity in finding me the best priced replacement bearing assembly part. Would recommend these fine folks anytime.

With being a long time member of AAA and the convenience of the location on Glenwood, I dropped my car off as soon they opened. They have seen me through the everyday maintenance of my wife, two daughters and my car. They have also seen us through some of the most bizarre, for lack of a better word, problems with our cars. Our thanks to Glenwood Glenn and the entire crew, and the many uses of their free chauffeur service.

Last year I went here for car inspection, My tires were quite new. They changed my "new" tires and charged me 300 bucks while installing two "old" tires to my car. i dont know if they did because I went there by myself and because I am woman? , I wish I would take my car to another place at that time. This year I changed my mechanic due to that and I just paid $30. if you love your money dont go here !

I am very disappointed in my service at this location. The oil change was great, but It was suggested I do nearly 1K in services that were not necessary for my vehicle. I took my car to my mechanic after this visit and he confirmed that I had no issues and my car was in excellent shape. Thankfully I am not one to jump on services and repair out of fear. I am glad I went for a 2nd opinion.

Saturday afternoon of Memorial Weekend, my car broke down at 2:30 on Glenwood Ave. AAA service station closes at 4pm on Saturdays. They picked me up, diagnosed my car and drove me home by 4pm. I hated having to be without my car until Tuesday since it was a holiday weekend, but they called my by 9:30 that Tuesday morning and my car was ready. Very prompt and professional.
