I have Geico as my car insurance carrier. Last week I was hit from behind as I sat at a red light. I had asked Geico to handle the claim. It was found that I would not be at fault as the other driver was ticketed for distracted driving and following to close. It seems I cannot convince my insurance company to use OEM parts for this repair. They keep insisting that it is their policy to use aftermarket parts if availible. If it wasnt for two things I wouldnt even care but first of all it is on the other insurance companies dime. Second my car was only 5 months old. This is so unacceptable. I will be getting other insurance. I had heard about Geicos claim service not being customer friendly but again this isnt even on their dime. They say geico is great insurance unless u need to use it. So for anyone looking to get insurance dont get it thru Geico.

Most people get their car insured and registered the same day. Can’t do that with Geico. Your insurance doesn’t start the same day— but you can bet they’ll process the transaction the same day. So that’s cool.

Extremely rude staff! The agent called Jason Cook started ranting and cursing after I asked for an insurance quote! Never had such a terrible experience anywhere even at the very worst DMV office!
