One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a community college. Every office is completely unorganized and almost impossible to get in touch with, and extremely rude. I waited on my counselor to be back in her office for two weeks to help me register for classes and she never became available. A professor offered me help on my registration process, however I find out two weeks later from the Dean of Nursing that everything she told me was completely wrong and I was enrolled in all of the wrong classes for my degree plan. So I made it through registration and go to my first week of classes only to get an email on Friday from the Business Office saying that I had been dropped from my classes for lack of payment (my financial aid was supposed to cover my tuition). I immediately email and call them and finally got a reply two weeks later saying there was nothing they could do. In the meantime to hear back form the Business Office, I visited the college and tried to receive help or some kind of explanation for what had happened and I was sent all over campus to six different offices and no one ever offered help or had an answer to what had happened. It was all a nightmare and I am thankful I did get dropped because it is all over with.

I have enjoyed my time at this school. Most of my instructors have been excellent, the availability of online classes is broad, and financial aid never fails to come through and help me out with tuition. Though I had a bad experience with an advisor, others at the college were eager to help remedy this situation and assign me a new advisor. I feel that I am 100% prepared for my new career thanks to FTCC. I would like to add that the registration process is not difficult. You do it online at your own convenience and they give you a big window of time to do it in. I have not experienced server errors or Webadvisor error messages at all while attempting to register, and I have registered for five consecutive semesters. It is not that bad. You do not HAVE to buy their books; there is a great little used bookstore right across the street from the school itself that will give you some good deals on books and will buy your books back for decent prices.

Some members of this "institution of higher learning" administration are not the best and they could realy benefit from a plethora of customer service classes. I felt like I was talking education with a post office casher while at the front desk of the DMV! They have perfected the art of Politely being, sarcastic, short, condescending @$$#oles! But they will not raise thier voices or use bad language, which makes the interaction ok I guess!! Had a phone conversation with a member today and the conversation ended so fast with the phone literally clicking while I was still talking, and not fully understanding the out come of the conversation!

Fayetteville Technical Community college is a great college. I am currently enrolled in the funeral service education program, the professors are truly inspiring and willing to help the students succeed to their best potential. The mortuary sciences labs are the best. Although I must mention I have an outer-state college tuition and the cost each semester is quite scandalous including books. The financial aid office always gives me the run around when it comes to applying for FAFSA and student loans. Other than those minor complications with the financial aid office this schools have multiple great programs.

They make the entire enrollment and financial aid processes extremely difficult. They will not call you. They expect you to do everything on your own. I was finally able to get in and took some classes. I failed one because my grandpa had passed away the last week of class so I missed my final. I filled for an appeal and was declined. I spent 4 hours on hold with them today for them to tell me that even though the website says it was approved. Apparently approved just means they received the paperwork. All in all, this was a horrible experience.

This will be the last semester for me here. Aid will be the reason.Still waiting on my spring pell grant. cant stand the misinformation, chaos, and red tape. Its a good thing im using my gi bill if not i would be ruined. Some of the teachers are great though other than that the process is agonizing misery. Good luck to every one who decides to go though.

This will be my last semester if I get through to financial aid I been calling for a week about submitting information about my appeal to let them know its coming from out of state and every time I get through after holding for 5 hrs someone hangs up as soon as I say yes!!! this is ridiculous I honestly see why everyone transfer out or go out of town

This school does seem a little ghetto, and it seems like you can never talk to a counselor. I have run into a few rude people that work in the health building. Other than that everyone else has been pretty helpful. This is my first semester here so we will see how the teachers are.

I have been a student here for almost a year and it has been horrible all around...i am beyond sick and tired of the rude staff that work in every single department...i am sick and tired of waiting 45 minutes while on hold...only to be rushed off the phone....its just crazy.....

Horrible institution. There are some good programs, with good instructors, offered. The school administrators primary drive is to make as much of a profit as they can. They are not interested in students or providing a good educational experience, they just want money.

Please do yourself a favor and do not enroll at this school. The teachers are great, but the hassle of what you will have to go through with finance, registration, and everyone else is not worth it. Please do not enroll at this school.

Horrible experience. I enrolled for classes put on waiting list. Then when I attempted to drop the class they told me I was too late bc they finally accepted me into the class during the 2nd week of classes.

The phone system is unacceptable. Probably the only one in the nation worse than the VA. But they have someone there to answer and take your money.
