If I could select zero stars I would have. 1) I wouldn’t have known the plan I selected last year that included Duke had completely dropped Duke as being in network in January if it weren’t for a letter from DUKE. 2) I started calling in November to change plans, never had enough time at work to wait on hold for over 30 minutes with still no guarantee of when someone may ever get around to answering. Tried to use their site. 3) I was able to sign up for Blue Local which covers Duke now through the Marketplace. However they couldn’t do anything about cancelling my now completely unwanted plan that doesn’t cover Duke. 4) I can’t fix it myself on the site because it is repeatedly down or missing full functionality. 5) Second to last of 7 calls (that is 8 hours of holding) I was advised to call back in a few days when the new application was cleared and processed by them and only then could they possibly resolve the other unwanted plan, which is auto draft that I can’t cancel until they are able to fix their system enough to “see” all that is happening in my name. 6) I need to keep only BLUE LOCAL insurance effective 2.1.2016 and get rid of the rest. Today, on hold for now 2:02 minutes and counting. Tried to get in the queue? Works great if you need sales! Otherwise expect them to tell you to call the customer no service number of eternal waiting. 7) No chat services available that I have ever seen, no replies to my 4 emails except for 1 completely useless one telling me to call in. 8) If you need to order a new plan or speak to sales, there is zero wait, ever, nada, nothing, fully staffed to sell. I would think again about that step.

To whom it may concern. First and foremost I would like to extend my gratitude to your company, especially the finance department for making my family and I wait almost 90 days for a refund check. Not only are we so grateful as to wait patiently but we in addition to our unfailing patience we extended multiple phone calls to check the status and even though we were told lies every time; we maintained steadfast in our ability to not react in accordance to the given situation. I would also like to personally thank the finance department for "SUCCESSFULLY NOT CUTTING THE CHECK" every time I called and was told that it had yet to be done. My family cannot thank you enough for your diligence in your inability to provide a simple service as outlined by every customer representative we spoke to. We respect your ability to not do your job and can only hope that other individuals who expect a refund would not have to wait more than 90 days. We also thank God for providing for us because if we were reliant on "OUR REFUND" to survive, or feed the kids, or pay bills we would have failed miserably just as so many have done at BCBSNC to provide us customer service. Again we extend our warmest gratitude and hope to never expect a refund from BCBSNC ever again but still hope to one day receive the one "WE ARE ENTITLED TO"

I am experiencing a lot of stress right now because of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. They denied coverage on a prenatal laboratory test that the customer service rep said was covered. The member booklet was not clear on which tests are covered either. Now the billing company is charging me 2,792 dollars for a test I should not be paying for. I am spending so much time writing appeals when I should be enjoying this time with my baby. They also denied coverage for my breast pump when it should have been covered. They did reconsider paying for it but it cost me time and energy to submit that appeal and call their phone system. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I am totally panicked! I had automatic draft and I have not been able to cancel my plan, I chose a different insurance company on the marketplace. Every time I call bcbs number it says "due to call volume" they are experiencing technical problems and then it hangs up! Of course, they have drafted my account without my permission to renew. Do not ever let them draft your account!!!! Please, now I am panicking that I will not get my money back. It is the weekend, they are closed & I have to wait until Monday morning!!!

When your insurance company denies you the prescription that your doctor prescribes because they have made a deal with another manufacturer, but your doctor does not want to change, then the insurance company is acting as an unlicensed doctor. Would some customer service rep tell me how this is legal? Worst insurance company in the country. Too bad they have the NC government in their pocket. There should be more competition and then lets see how many customers jump ship feom this worthless company.

With State Insurance through BCBS, I owe over $800 to the hospital for an allergic reaction and the cost of one of my prescriptions is now six times higher than it was two months ago. Thanks for absolutely nothing BCBS...
