Geico is currently distributing a letter in NC that states since this is a "Short Cancellation" state they must penalize you. Not the case. Insurance regs say they can NOT they must as three diff GEICO reps have told me. From their letter: "If you request cancellation of your policy for any reason, we must short rate your policy according to North Carolina insurance regulations. " From the NC Commission Website: "Short Rate Cancellation may be used when the policy is cancelled by you or by a premium finance company. " This was meant for folks making weekly insurance payments and canceled after 1 day just to get tags not for a multi year customer who found a better rate. Hot Garbage there GEICO....

Well sorry many Ppl here feel unsatisfied; Geico has been my auto insurance carrier for nearly 4 years now. I was an undergraduate student (3.5 years) who drove to school, Monday through Friday, 20 to 25 minutes to and from home and the rate is pretty competitive.They have worked with me regarding payments. My payment is usually due in the third of every month, but when I was having financial difficulties, they allowed me to postpone my payment due date...as long as I re-enrolled in my payment plan by the end of the 5th month to keep the rate the same for the next 6 month renewal date. Thanks Geico for ALL your help.

I have been with geico for almost 4years, but on Monday Oct 23,2017 why did one of their employees let someone who is not on my policy make a decision about a car situation, when/where/ time to take the car to the body shop and also told them they would also get an rental????? I am still pissed off about that because they were only suppose to ask them a few questions about the accident.
