Minick Law, P.C. is the best law firm I’ve ever known. I worked as an intern for Minick Law and I can honestly say that it was the best experience of my professional career so far. Attorney James Minick is truly the most compassionate, caring, and dedicated person I’ve ever met. He loves what he does and it shows every time he meets with a client, appears in court, or researches a case. He is genuinely a wonderful person and a brilliant attorney. Attorney Anthony Tuorto is a mastermind when it comes to criminal cases. I’ve seen him get results that I would have never thought were possible. Attorney Lakota Denton is exactly the guy to call when you have been in an accident and have medical bills just piling up. He is honest and dedicated. When he takes on a client, he won’t give up until he wins the case and compensates the client for their injuries. Attorney Lance Williams is also very caring and dedicated. He works on cases in the Charlotte and Gastonia area. He works very hard to ensure that the powerful name of Minick Law is carried out from his side. I only met him a couple times but he is very nice and very good at what he does. The attorneys all work very hard but the assisting staff members are also just as wonderful. They’re all very friendly and dedicated to helping in any way they can. They relieve the anxiety that clients tend to get when dealing with legal issues. They truly care about everyone. Minick Law is a perfectly assembled team of brilliant people. As far as legal representation is concerned, I haven’t heard of anyone with a reputation as well-known and as highly respected. I recommend Minick Law to anyone in need of legal representation.

This review is regarding my recent experience with Minick Law firm (representation by James Minick). I was charged with a DWI in 2013. Being a person unfamiliar with my legal rights, James Minick stood firm and held his ground in great regard to the truth. He protected me from misconstrued allegations that my local law enforcement agency had determined to disrupt my life with. Mr. Minick proved to be more than sufficient through his professional calm representation on my behalf. Prior to hiring Mr. Minick, I felt as though I had no hope of overcoming this nightmare of injustice. Then, after hiring James Minick my faith within the legal system was restored. My confidence that the truth can be obtained was given to me by Mr. Minick. I would strongly recommend his services to anyone in need of legal representation due to charges made falsely against them. James Minick and his law firm are professionals. When I walked out of the court room in August 2014 with a NOT GUILTY verdict, I knew then our legal system was still alive!! I was facing ten year old dui, two driving on suspended, no insurance, and running a stop sign charges. It was affecting my license in other states because I avoided it for so long. It got to the point that I knew and wanted to get it behind me. I wanted to move ahead with my success. All the other law firms assured me that I would do time but they would soften the blow. This was a hard fact to swallow because I had come so far to have another set back. I contacted Mr. Minick and after reviewing my case he discussed very positive outcomes so I retained his firm. Even with good documentation from ashevile police department and the D.A. chomping at the bits for prosecution...he took it to trial and showed that the state failed at burden of proof because he knows the law. He beat all charges and I walked our with a running stop sign ticket. And at the same time showed great respect for the law enforcement and the D.A. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. Highly recommended him and his law firm...

I was falsely accused of DWI last July simply for failure to burn headlamps at night. I am 62 years old and this is the first time I have ever had an encounter with a law officer in which I had to perform field sobriety tests. This officer was aggressively seeking an arrest. After passing the Breath Test and, in my opinion, the field tests, I was STILL arrested and charged. I was devastated. James Minick was the only lawyer of the four I interviewed to confidently tell me we had a good chance of getting a not guilty verdict. To our surprise, we lost our District court case. Mr. Minick knew this was an injustice and encouraged me to appeal to Superior Court. It was long and grueling but we won my case in front of a Jury. NOT GUILTY!!! James Minick is an extremely talented lawyer. He knows DWI law. His expertise and ability to challenge unfairness in law enforcement is simply amazing! I would encourage anyone charged with DWI offense to call James Minick at Minick Law.

James Minick is an excellent lawyer and helped me fight my dwi case in Asheville. I got charged in 2012. The process was long-- the state DA continued my case numerous times-- and Mr. Minick was there with me each time to represent me. From the beginning he was extremely helpful, professional, and informative with my case and was confident he could prove me not guilty. His entire Minick Law team was friendly and always available to me. The case finally went to trial recently in 2015 and he tried to keep me as confident as I could be. During the trial James Minick proved me not guilty of my DWI case. After being told by other law firms I visited before going to Minick Law that it could not be proven not guilty and to just plead guilty, I am extremely glad I visited Mr. Minick instead. He also cut me a deal because I am a college student even though he came to court more than a dozen times with me. I highly recommend James Minick and his team for any legal issues.

I was wrongfully charged with DWI November 2012 while I was just staying in my car. The officer arrested me thought that I was driving but technically I was not since my car engine was off.
