I encountered a personal bicycle injury in Manhattan which involved a deep, utilities company-made hole in the middle of a neighborhood street. As I had never before been associated with a lawsuit or necessitated legal counsel regarding physical impairment, I was at a loss about where to turn. My first inclination was to begin calling the many law firms whose ubiquitous television commercials boast about high-percentage victories for their clients. To my surprise, not ONE of those pompous and self-aggrandizing establishments were willing to take on the City Of New York. The akin words “No, we are not interested in handling your case” could not have been more quickly or indubitably declared. With some research, I fortuitously found Carol Schlitt and the Schlitt Law Firm. From the outset, Carol was attentive, sympathetic and without delay, diligent toward my cause. She established both a realistic time-frame for my case and a pragmatic dollar figure in an eventual closing of my lawsuit. She and her first-rate staff were keen to keep me apprised at every turn and their kindness, consideration and professionalism are beyond mere praise. Throughout my process, I felt like a priority – safe and incessantly protected. I was one of the people who did not like the idea of suing and had never hired a personal injury lawyer. I was cynical when I hired Carol. I am now a believer and have recommended her to both family and friends. That’s why I’m taking the time to write this review. Carol and her people deserve it. I got hurt in a car accident on the LIE and wound up with neck and back problems. I wanted the guy who hit me to pay for what he did to me. I spoke to a couple of lawyers, but when I spoke to Carol, she sounded like she knew the most and actually cared about me. Carol, Mark and the rest of the team at Schlitt Law did exactly what they said they would do. They sent me letters and emails and called me to let me know what was happening with my case. Things happened just as they said they would. Two months after I finished treating, they got me a settlement that was more money than I thought I would get. They really paid attention and did the job.
