Robert is an excellent, honest, divorce attorney who really cares about me and my concerns. He is compassionate and very easy to talk to, he listens very carefully and asks the right questions to get to the heart of the matter. While he has kept me out of court on several occasions (saving me thousands of dollars I’m sure) when we did have to appear, I could tell that the Suffolk County Family Court judge presiding over our case had the utmost respect for him (and not my opposition’s attorney), which certainly worked in my favor. I have seen, first-hand, that he is more concerned with providing the best counsel and giving his clients on Long Island the truth, rather than telling them what they want to hear or making more money from them. I have personally witnessed him, on numerous occasions, provide counsel that reduced his fees, rather than extend the case. The people in his office are just as wonderful as Mr. Hornberger. From his assistant to the other attorneys, everyone I’ve dealt with over there has been friendly, helpful and acted with the utmost professionalism. I am confident that Mr. Hornberger and his team will ALWAYS recommend the best course of action for me, or any of his clients, and I would not hesitate to recommend his firm to my family and friends. I trust Robert because he’s proven time and again that he’s in my corner for me.

Robert has represented me twice in actions regarding child support and custody (in 2008 & 2011). He did a fantastic job in both instances. He is very professional, organized and detail oriented. He was easily accessible whenever I needed to speak with him and responded to emails quickly (even on weekends). I felt that he was absolutely honest and fair in his billing – not like many attorneys you see out there who charge you every time your name is mentioned in their office! He is a skilled negotiator (especially against a crafty ex-husband), honest, personable and truly cares about his clients and what is in their best interests. I do not hesitate to highly recommend Robert!

After a couple days, I retained Rob and basically things went as he described, infact it took a little less time then originally suggested! Thank you... Guys a complete scum. My mom goes in for a couple questions, ends up leaving crying. Hes a cold man with a nasty attitude. He doesnt care about you or the devorce, hes in it for the money, consistantly asking how hes going to be paid. Ladies if your considering seeing this guy mabye look for a different lawyer. I dont usually write bad reviews but my mom doesnt deserve this.

Horrible Lawyer. Took all our money, 9K, did nothing for us and lied about our situation so that we were scared and would continue to keep him. He actually cursed out my son on the top of his lungs and hung up on him. He is a liar, a manipulator, and a disrespectful horrible man. DO NOT RETAIN HIM.....RUN!
