I went to the DMV this afternoon because I was trying to get my vehicle registered, the DMV teller explained to me that it is mandatory that i get Nevada Auto Insurance before getting my plates, she told me to go to Capital Auto Insurance, the office is conveniently located a block away from the DMV. I walked in the office and a really nice young lady helped me with my new auto policy, this is my very fist time getting insurance in the state of Nevada, but she made the process so easy but at the same time she explained all the coverage to me and she answered all my questions. I walked out with my ID cards and a smile on my face because the service was excellent.

I am writing this to warn people about the capital insurance scam. They took my money (deposit) and monthly payment and next thing you know they cancel me with hardly any warning. I called to try to work it out but it was just a waste of time. They take your money and then want nothing to do with you. Capital insurance =progressive insurance=scam.

This place has good rates but all in all they have horrible customer service. Theres much more places in the Reno area with the same rates but much better service, where they actually treat you like a person and not like a number. where you are not an inconvenience to them when they answer the phone. Please stay away if you can. Shop around.

Yesterday I came in to get a quote. The staff was tremendous friendly. I was in a rush and appreciated how fast they took care of me. I decided to remain with my current insurance till my policy runs out. I fully intend on coming in to begin a new policy with this company based upon how I was treated yesterday. Great service!!
