Finding myself at home recovering from a medical event in Feb, I decided to get things done around the house. One on the list was an HVAC service, since I knew we had missed the annual servicing in ’12. I could not find the file for our regular HVAC people. After checking on the internet, I decided upon Climate Control Heating and Cooling, in Liberty, Mo. I set the service appointment and the technician came out and did a regular tune-up on the system. Upon leaving, Travis advised me that because he had cleaned the blower and that it had been very dirty, it would be making an extra loud sound because the blower would be pulling harder now that it no longer had dirt. However, he said, after a few days it will settle down. I’m not knowledgeable about motors and such so I thought nothing of it. Boy WAS it LOUD. It sounded like a jet engine. After a week of this and other problems, I called Gene at Climate Control and told him that the sound of the blower was still very loud, the thermostat had been behaving quite erratically since the tune-up and that the whole system was cycling very awkwardly. I was concerned because none of these issues, nor any others, had been in the system prior to the tune-up. Gene assured me that he would send someone right out. The second technician, Justin, came out and said that he and the first technician, Travis, had spoken about the blower and that Travis could take care of it. He spent some time with our HVAC system and then came upstairs to tell me that the blower was just about shot and that we need to replace it either now or sometime really soon as it was just about shot. Travis gave me quotes of about $800 to replace the blower. The system continued to work erratically and with problems, which I thought highly suspicious considering there had been no problems prior to the tune-up. After further searching, I finally found the name of the trusted HVAC people that we had used before and decided that I really needed a second opinion about the NEW problems having arisen in our system. To negate any comments that Climate Control of Liberty might counter with ( i.e.that’s just a competitor bad-mouthing us), I also called a friend of mine who is an HVAC construction engineer to FIRST give his opinion. He came and looked at the system and determined that the blower was just fine. The fine folks at Arctic Air had arrived while my friend was still here. My HVAC engineer friend and Arctic Air tech discussed that the blower was operating very well. Arctic Air tech took the front panel off and immediately saw what the problem was: in the basic hook-ups, our system had been re-hooked into something other than the Heat Speed Relay causing the blower to not cycle as it should. So, two technicians from Climate Control of Liberty, came out and our system was reset in a very basic way, so that the blower would appear as if it were malfunctioning and needed replacing.

My heat went out and I called Climate control. Chad came to my house on January 6th 2014 looked at my heater and told me that it would cost me a minimum of $600 to replace the circuit board and that probably would not fix the issue. He told me I needed to replace everything which would be over $2000. He then took 5 minutes to clean the sensor (charged me a total of $163) and told me that he "suggests" that I go buy plenty of space heaters to get through the night because without replacing everything, my heater would stop working really soon. He insisted I let him call his "boss" (another sales rep no doubt) to come and look at my furnace and give me a specific price estimate of how much to fix my furnace. I had to tell him no at least three times. Each time, he would follow up with comments about me needing to have plenty of space heaters. Long story short, it was most certainly a high pressure sales tactic being used. I paid the $163 and then called another company to come assess it. The rep came from the other company came and replaced the circuit board for $250 and MY FURNACE HAS WORKED FINE SINCE THEN. I did write a letter to complain about my very poor service experience and was delighted to be contacted by the manager that refunded about half of the $163 that I paid. I strongly suggest you find another company to service your heating and cooling equipment. Climate Control is not interested in saving you money.

Expensive. The technician was professional. That said, you will pay a PREMIUM for their services. There is a $90 charge for coming to your house, even if you hire them to do repairs (it is on top of any services rendered - and is not applied toward your labor or goods purchased). I was charged a total of $575 to replace a simple blower on my furnace. I paid it because the weather was dropping below freezing that night. I have sense received estimates for the repair ranging from $260-$300 for the exact same work. (Blower motor could have been purchased for $150) Like I said - their work is good, but it is VERY expensive.

I am very appreciative to Climate Control Heating & Cooling!!!!! I won a new furnace through Climate Control Heating & cooling & Fox 4 2017 sweepstakes. They were so nice & very knowledgeable on what they do. James came out & discussed everything with me & Tony installed my new furnace the same day. They went way and beyond and tore out some old duct work & replaced it with new along with a few other things to make it perfect. Not only does it look beautiful- its works wonderfully!! I am so appreciative & impressed with Climate Control Heating & Cooling & totally recommend them!!

Called for a spring system clean and to check the vent in one bedroom. I gave them my address name phone and email. We scheduled a date and time. They didnt show so I called to see if I wrote down the wrong time- I had to give them my name and phone and email again! The gentleman that came out to clean our unit and check our vent was not knowledgeable at all. He failed to walk up into the attic (which is a huge open area) and even look at the duct work. I understand the hard work needed to do a job and I am willing to pay for it. But this was just plain laziness.

This company was great. We called the day that our central unit broke they were out by 8:00 AM the next day as promised. Unlike Pence Repair in Kearney MO. When we called Pence Air Conditioning Repair in Kearny MO, they acted like we were coming from outer space requesting a repair man for that day. They said that Friday was the earliest. We had called on a Tuesday. The also seemed to reprimand us for not cleaning our system that year. They also said that any company worth their weight are all booked up.

Climate Control installed a Humidifier...backwards. Then they fixed it. Then it broke....so I thought. They came back out free of charge and showed me how it worked. I changed my rating on here from a negative to a positive. I respect companies that are concerned for their reputation and do service calls for FREE (not that it will always be thay way) to make sure you are satisfied. THANKS GUYS.

I highly recommend Climate Control! Ask for Lance. He explains everything that he is doing and if there is an issue he makes sure that you are aware and gives you multiple options to choose from. Very professional would recommend the company and Lance to anyone out there looking for the best HVAC tech that is honest and knows what he is doing!!

Excellent service and accurate repair. Serviceman was on time and quickly identified and repaired the issue. He also pointed out that I was my ac unit could run more efficiently if it was cleaned and he proceeded to completely clean the unit for me. My electric bills are lower and it is thanks to Climate Control!!!!
