Our washer and dryer both stopped working in November 2011. March 1 2012 is coming right up, and Assurant is following the "lets just try this again" method. Obviously it takes them a long time to get a repair person out, as we are waiting right now. The company from which we purchased the appliances have given us loaners, but every time the repair person comes out we must disconnect the loaners and reconnect the broken ones. This is not a simple task, as they must be moved about. The Assurant spokesperson told me this: We will not replace your equipment until we have been called out to do the same repair 4 times, and not within 90 days of the last time, and not over 12 months from the initial repair call. Do the math. This is not a repair or replace policy. They allow 20 minutes for a service call. Not a consumer friendly company. $200 ill spent. Items are LG. Beware! BEWARE!

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE, they take your money and keep it with no replacement on its way!!!!! Why... well my phone broke received a replacement not the same color (they do not guarantee this), it did not work on my network so returned; then received another again would not work with service and returned; now waiting for the third replacement still not here, called to follow up and they accused me of not returning the other two phones (which their warehouse confirmed delivery) so they will not return my money I paid for the initial replacement. I am stuck with a $600 broken phone and now out an additional $175!!! This is truly bad customer service and stealing at its best.

THIS COMPANY IS SCAM . My galaxy s6 had fallen in the water i made a claim got my new phone sent my old one back. They sent me a letter saying they never recieved my phone and wanted $800.00 from me!!!! Thank god my dad tracked this package and saw it was delivered on time to the right place. After calling all we got was bullshit saying they dont have our package u ntil my dad proved that it had evidence of this then all of a sudden oh yeah we do have your phone??? Keep your reciepts people and make sure you have proof where your phone went otherwise this people will lie to you and take alot of from you. This company is LOW. Claim number : 25520769

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Every time I have filed a claim, there was always an issue. On my last claim, I was sent a broken device. I had so many issues with Assurant trying to replace the broken device. I have been without a phone for a week because they company hired incompetent representatives. I was told incorrect information several times by different agents. Customer service is horrible. No one showed empathy or sympathy. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone! I will be canceling my insurance.

Terrible experience. I have had software issues and when I talked to their representative I got a replacement phone shipped right away (that I had to pay for right away). So I returned this device to sender as soon as I received it and was waiting for my money to be returned to me. Which took two months. Few months later calling to Google store about my Nexus 5X being stuck on bootloop, I hear that my claim with Assurant has never been properly closed? ZERO star service, giving it 5* so everyone can see what company Assurant is.

Beware! If you schedule a service appointment with this outfit make sure you have everything written down, then call to confirm the appointment the day before, then call early in the 4 hour appointment window to confirm. They messed up 3 different service appointments with excuses of either not being in the system, being on a completely different day or being in the afternoon instead of the morning. One thing worked like clockwork, they were able to charge my credit card instantaneously and without issue.

Refused to refund the unused portion of appliance extended warranty. Do NOT pay for the year in advance, because they keep the money. I should have paid monthly, then they could only have cheated me out of the cost one month or less.

Would not accept claim on broken watch band that caused watch to stop working when it fell off. Happened first time I wore it. Policy stated it covered "accidental damage."
